From our arrival to our departure we felt very well taken care of by Memory and all of the staff. It truly felt like a home away from home. The common areas of the hotel and our room were well maintained and within a stone's throw from Kloof Street. When we got our room, we were pleasantly surprised by a handwritten note and welcome treat. The bed was comfortable and turndown service was appreciated. Daily breakfast was plentiful and had a nice variety of cold food items as well as made-to-order hot food. The team helped us with bookings and provided us with tips for how to enjoy and explore the city safely. We were sad to leave and hope to one day make it back again!

Welgelegen guest house is an amazing experience. From the. Omens you walk in the door you are greeted like family. Prince took such great care of us. Memory was so helpful and amazing. She is so personable and helped everyone in our large group. The kitchen staff was so accommodating and kind. They served delicious breakfast. Housekeeping kept our rooms so clean and fresh and they always had a smile. Sydney was so helpful too. He is so kind. We were so honored to have such a lovely experience and will definitely return.

We stayed 5 nights at Welgelegen House in a family room with our 2 children (8yrs and 11yrs). The guest house is perfectly located to explore Cape Town and nearby eateries. Our room and the common areas were amazing, with views of Table Mountain from our balcony. We had B&B board, with a very pleasant breakfast each day (buffet with eggs and pancakes cooked to order). |The staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming. We were very well looked after by Memory and Prince. |I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay on a visit to Cape Town.

We absolutely loved Welgelegen (especially the staff but also the general ambience and the delicious, complimentary breakfast) and will definitely stay there again any time we are in Cape Town. Our first night there, the night manager actually walked us to our dinner location.||The location of Welgelegen is also ideal - as it is in the Gardens (we could see Table Mountain from our room!) and close to many sights (including the V&A Waterfront, Bo-Kaap, Signal Hill and many of the museums) and very nice restaurants. While we made some dinner reservations ahead of time, we took Welgelegen’s suggestions for two dinners. Finally, RETURN Africa Welgelegen Guest House is a relatively easy drive from the airport as it is close to the highway.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Welgelegen House. The team were incredibly attentive and friendly during our entire stay, with special shout-out to Memory who is so wonderful to all the guests.|The room was magnificent and the house itself is beautiful. We had amazing views of table mountain from all our windows, and would recommend Room 7 so anyone staying. Thank you for a wonderful stay, one night wasn't long enough!

Welgelegen House (B&B) is located with a great view of Table Mountain in the heart of Cape Town, the Mother City. Their hospitality made my wife, and I felt like we were a part of their family in every way possible. This 150-year-old house, courtyard, and additional house in the back have been restored to show the best of their antiques and decorating. Their staff made us feel like we were in a 5-star facility, which was so much better than any hotel. They recommended eating facilities, and got us transportation and reservations. This great stay is a special part of our story on the South Africa visit to 4 cities.

Memory, Thompson and Prince took excellent care of me and my family during our short stay in Cape Town. They were very helpful when it came to suggesting restaurants and activities, and even making reservations and booking taxis on our behalf! The additional special touches were also unexpected and appreciated - some South African sparkling wine for my parent's wedding anniversary. The rooms were comfortable and one even had beautiful views of Table Mountain. The breakfasts we had were delicious and filling - continental and cooked were available. If we were ever to return to Cape Town, it would be a pleasure to stay here again ☺️

We loved kicking off our honeymoon at Welgelegen! The hospitality was top notch. The morning breakfasts were such a delight! The location was incredible - a quick uber to all of the activities we wanted to do in Cape Town and walking distance from so many amazing cafes/restaurants. Looking forward to returning in the future!
