This hostel is highly recommended if you’re traveling alone. Place is super sociable, made loads of friends while staying here. Social reps Luella and Meg were so nice, they made sure that I get what I needed like going to an Elephant Sanctuary and Cooking Class. The Pub Crawl was soooo fun, with the reps! Will stay here again for sure!!

A very clean, cozy hotel/guest house. I stayed here on two occasions during my visits to Chiang Mai. The owner Allan is extremely friendly and funny and gave me tools and some parts to help me fix my suitcase's broken handle. He's also knowledgeable about the area and is happy to give you tips and ideas. His little white fluffy dog Chanom is ridiculously cute, and I loved playing with her. There's just a very nice ambience and energy here. The rooms cost almost as little as a bed at a local hostel! I actually moved out of a hostel and came here. There air-conditioning is pretty quiet, the bathrooms are clean, and you get towels and soap. The refrigerator in the room is a nice feature as I always buy lots of fruit. I've traveled in Asia for half a year, and this is one of the best values I've seen.

I initially intended to stay at Nonni Guesthouse for only a few nights, but I ended up extending my stay multiple times, and stayed there for more than three weeks while I looked for a permanent place of residence. The owner is incredibly friendly and willing to help with any questions you may have/booking you may want to do. The dog is adorable. The private rooms are spacious and clean, the air conditioning works very well, and all for a price as low as you will find anywhere in the city. The location is excellent, a short walk from the south gate of the old city, and near many restaurants/massage parlors/this one great little bakery. I was really happy with my time at Nonni, and highly recommend staying there.

We stayed in Northern Thailand for two weeks and this was our favorite place to stay. Great location, great price and great staff. Allan, the owner of the guesthouse, is an incredible human with a great sense of humor. Hot showers that stayed hot. It's about a 30 second walk to the Saturday Night Market as well. Allan and his staff accommodated us beyond our expectations.

Very clean little guesthouse, with a nice patio, and a super hospitable Kiwi owner named Allan. It's my new go-to guesthouse for Chiang Mai. The private rooms are super cheap, and are very clean. The beds are well above average (especially for Thailand), and each room has an air-conditioner and also an oscillating fan. Allan is a great guy to have a chat about virtually anything (especially if you're looking for stuff to do in Chiang Mai) but also just a good guy to have a chat with in general.

I spent about 10 days there in Chiang Mai and really enjoyed it. It's very well located, near the Chiang Mai Gate so you can eat for dirt cheap in the market at about 400 m. Lot of nice little bakeries around. I had a very minimalist room with AC and it was just what I wanted. If you don't want to pay too much on the rent but want a simple yet comfortable place to stay, it's a great spot. Plus the staff is very nice (what's up Allen) and will help you if you need hints about the city.

A great place to stay! My room was clean and comfortable, the AC was nice and cool, and the location is within walking distance of most of the Chiang Mai city action. On top of that, Allan was a friendly and helpful host. Recommended!

Such a good hostel for those looking for an active party scene and opportunities to explore chiang mai. Had a great stay here with my two friends and will for sure recommend it for anyone wanting to stay in chiang mai. Shoutout to the staff, especially to Dom and Tom who were engaging, attentive and entertaining.
