Revolution - SilverKris

"Tucked away in an industrial building on Henderson Road, this tasteful bistro is the perfect escape from the bustle of life. Led by sommeliers Alvin Gho and Ian Lim of the now-defunct RVLT, it features sculptural pieces by Danish design house Fritz Hansen, setting the table for a no-rules menu built on instinct and flavour. Chef Sunny Leong’s dinner tasting menu cleverly balances whimsy with technique; highlights include the chicken skin stroopwafel served with ‘drunken’ foie gras and rose wine, and a delicate crystal bread in the shape of a Japanese sensu fan, topped with lobster roe bavarois and caviar. Of course, there’s also plenty of minimal intervention vino to go around. The blue mussel ‘cheong fun’ with Jerusalem artichoke finds a wonderful match with a gentle orange wine from New Zealand’s Kunoh Wines. On busier nights, the vibe is lively and intimate – it’s almost like visiting a friend’s house party, clinking glasses and sharing plates over nostalgic pop." - Ben Chin

Revolution, a bistro with a difference Located in Henderson Industrial park, next to an amazing furniture & design store, this was an unexpected pleasure! Having a “Light” lunch with my Dr. Friend, we were treated to a really nice meal! Service was great, attentive and detailed! Recommendations for meal & drink by a true professional, casual, welcoming yet detailed and forthcoming. Although our lunch crowd was somewhat manageable, I was told dinner has a true following! Menu & pricing was super price - value oriented! Food selection while not overwhelming it was perfect for a lunch setting! We were also told that the Sourdough bread was home made, it certainly was excellent, served with seaweed butter? (Why do I always need to remind restaurateurs that the best part is the crispy end cut? Our first course consisted of Cured Ocean Trout and a rather unique steak tartar! The Ocean Trout was a total 💯 pointer! Simple perfection that was a pure gourmets dream! Sensational, I would go back just for that! 10 out of 10 The steak tartar was rather “unique” handcut beef, well composed, topped with pearls of Egg, accompanied by excellent crisp fries! For me I personally prefer the traditional Tartar, but ok this was decent, but lacked ooomph! 7 out of 10 The Kale Salad with a mini Wagyu Steak, apparently StockYard from New Zealand! The salad was excellent, perfect composition of fresh kale with added ingredients and a superb dressing slightly acidic, topped with fried Kale Leave,(suggestion: bigger bowl or smaller salad so mixing it doesn’t end up half in the table :-), ) The steak however was chewy to say the least! So, Salad 8 out of 10, the steak 5 out of 10 The Linguine with clams , were perfect! The sauce to die for, fresh clams, couldn’t ask for more! Better than many Italian restaurants! 9 out of 10 Dessert we were served Mini Pandan Madeleines, small, tasty, but lack of Pandan Flavour! The winner was the Kalamansi Meringue Pie, just sweet indulging fulfilment! Loved the presentation! 9 out of 10 The wine was nice, great for a lunch of this style! Overall very happy either way the offering, a fun lunch venue in a not so traditional area! Enjoy! #foodgloriousfood #singapore #foodsg #sgfoodie #sgfoodporn #gourmet #cuisine #foodagram #foodaddict #SGfood #sgfoodstagram #revolution #revolutionsg #revolutionbistro

A most unpretentious place to enjoy good grub and a bottle of wine Their chicken nuggets made in house is damn shiokadoodas! Folks who bother to play around with the ratios of breast, thigh meat and cartilage and even their flour mix… feed ppl with love Service was great but never overbearing Only gripe is that restrooms are on the second level of the industrial building they’re located in. But kept clean and no weird fragrances ahahha Will definitely be back to try other items on their menu and wine

Tried their soft launch set dinner menu on a Friday night. Food was so yum with good value of $98++ pp. Good services and attentive staff too. Just the restaurant was pretty packed and the tables were close to each other. But pretty good vibe so no complaints.

Food is overall really good! Their desserts are a standout, really surprisingly good! Main complaint is that the noise level in the restaurant is wayyyyy too high. All the hard surfaces reflect sound and you can barely hear your dining partner seated right beside you. Other complaint is that food service speed is really too slow, a lot of waiting between dishes That said, their food is good. The nuggets are really some of the best ever, the trout is nice and olives are juicy. For the pastas, the chicken rendang ravioli has a strong rendang flavour. The black pepper steak one really does taste like black pepper with a bit of wok hey to it. Mini Madeleines are so nice and warm and crispy on the edges! The stroopwafel is truly amazing - lightly alcoholic, perfectly balanced and a great mixture of textures. It's fine dining worthy Overall, Revolution has great potential. Service is good and the food is quite elevated. Prices are very affordable for the quality of food and it does make me wonder if they can survive like this for long. Due to the service speed, they also don't have much of a turnover of tables.

Good food, great service, and u get to dine on Fritz Hansen chairs! Looooooved the Hua Diao vongole and the Saturday Special beef. Celebrated a birthday here too and the madeleines are top notch. Would recommend!

A near-perfect dining experience all around, and a rather unexpectedly bold new direction for the former owners of the sadly-defunct RVLT wine bar. Every dish was excellently prepared, though the snack sharing plates stood out for their creativity and sheer deliciousness. Service was attentive and very personable, with the restrauranteurs dropping by on occasion to check on us. And of course, nothing beats the ambience of dining next to the showroom of a noted designer furniture brand. Ironically, the one element I found the least amazing (though that of course is chalked up to our selection) was the wine, which, though good, had none of the interesting flavor profiles of RVLT's former selection, instead being a little bit more conventional. Loved: - Chicken skin stroopwafel. An unassuming mini-facsimile of the classic Dutch street snack hides a tantalizing layer of forbidden goose liver. A delicious poultry fraken-creation. - Mala taco. This was just on another level. Inventive combo of flavors, again, presented in the form of a miniature hardshell "taco". Spicy, tart, rich, crunchy: a platonic bite. - Mussels linguine and Mala pesto-messe maniche. Pasta cooked al-dente, well-considered flavors. The mala pesto one is of course more interesting but both are excellent plates of pasta. Also those mussels are delicious. Liked: - Laksa prawn gel - Tomahawk steak. Very generously portioned and substantial but I think probably prepared a touch too rare for a steak like this. Love the cow-shaped gravy container, fries and mash. Not a vegetable in sight, sadly. - Burnt meringue calamansi tart.

From the moment I walked in, I knew this restaurant was something special. The space is stunning. It’s sleek, modern, and impossibly comfortable, with every chair and table adorned in Fritz Hansen elegance. Honestly, I felt like I was sitting on air, which perfectly set the tone for what was to come. The menu is a delight. Each dish balancing creativity and precision. The blue mussel cheong fun was a standout - delicate, silky rice roll draped over briny sweet mussels and other perfectly cut morsels of deliciousness. Also particularly enjoyed the mala taco and the shima aji with finger lime and pomelo - bright, clean, and perfectly refreshing. Of course the sourdough doesn’t need an introduction, it had me missing RVLT sorely. Bravo to the entire team for delivering a dining experience that feels effortless yet extraordinary. I’ll be back!

Revolution feels like a grown-up, elevated version of RVLT at Carpenter — truly back and better than ever. Chef Sunny has really outdone himself; the chicken rendang ravioli and wagyu steak are absolute highlights, bursting with rich, satisfying flavors. I came with a group, so we got to try quite a few dishes — from the fresh and flavorful vongole, to the indulgent salted egg pasta and beautifully cured trout. Honestly, everything was very well executed, showcasing a maturity and finesse that feels like RVLT has truly grown up. The wine list is extensive and just as delicious as the food, making it a fantastic spot whether you’re out with friends, family, or on a date. Great for groups or couples — the vibe is warm, the food is on point, and the wines are perfectly paired. Back, better, and absolutely delish.
