As part of the Oslo Fetish Week, I got my boys here, as recommended by a dear friend - as a Leatherman into Heavy Metal I needed to be away from the usual gay venues with its horrendous dance 'music' so went straight to here - and we had an excellent time! Thanks to the seriously beautiful playing country-folk band and the sweet and chatty locals, it was a pure stressless chilled atmosphere, just what we were after (especially when you're used to the noise levels in London 😒). Many thanks to the awesome staff at Revolver, you made this a memorable eve for all of us, skål! 🍻 🤟🙏

Great rock bar in Oslo! The music is always on point and a good ambiance. Cool vibe, good drinks, and a nice place to hang out if you’re into rock and live music. I

Really nice place. Friendly bar staff, had a great chat with the barman/manager(?). Nice varied choice of music,a d.j. was playing on the night we went. Good choice of drinks (I'd recommend the Dan Miguel which they make out back, very tasty) and reasonable prices. Friendly atmosphere overall.

Scored an outdoor spot on a gorgeous night, and then we were able to join a fantastic metal concert for a bit.

Took 2 stars for servise. Exactly for female bartender with shaved temples. She was really rude and pretend she doesn’t understand English.

There is just one "pils" people and that is Pilsner Urqell from Czech....and this is the one of the few bars in Oslo, maybe even in Norway I found it. I must give 5 stars for it, even though it could have been colder, otherwise very well served and not too expensive...I will definitely return for it again...Thanks 🙏

Yelp
If you are into rock/metal music and the respective people go to revolver. It's one of the most alternative bars I have been to in Oslo and I actually believed one can not find this type of bar here. I was wrong. The bar is cool and the people working there are super friendly. Good service and good vibes. The bar reminded me of copenhagen and it's hip areas so I loved it. Chill place, diverse people and rock/metal music. A bar for a chill beer. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Tacos were around 60NOK, and there was a big selection of Mexican cocktails (margaritas, micheladas, etc.) and beer. The ambience of the place was really chill and played rock music. The bartender was super nice and friendly also. I recommend the Baja fish taco, and the guacamole and chips! The tacos are a really good size as well, so don't feel too bad for paying about $8 for a taco... Also a lot of places close on Sunday's here, but this place is open! Overall, I recommend!

Yelp
I always feel like a jerk when I give a three star review because it means the place isn't great but it doesn't exactly suck either. It basically means that Revolver is not my kind of place and everything is just average (in my opinion)! Although I don't mind joining my friends for a beer in the upstairs bar or getting down on the dance floor downstairs, I just don't enjoy it as much as them. I think the music is to loud and the place to crowded in an uncharming way. I have heard a lot of great things about their concerts but unfortunately I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but as a true Yelper I will eventually make my way to one and update my review accordingly! I guess my reason for only giving Revolver 3 stars is the overly drunk people standing inline for the bathroom which totally ruined my first experience here. The staff in general are very present and the beer is priced as everything else in Oslo, but given all the other options close by I don't care to hang out at Revolver to much. As for the food, it is average in my opinion. Not mind blowing, but not bad.

Yelp
I took my friend here because we really wanted to try Illegal Burger, but it was packed. The last time I was here, they had really great hamburgers and thought that we could get our hamburger fix here. Well they stopped serving hamburgers and have a very small, limited menu up on a chalkboard. I remember that they had menus that we could take to our seat that had more on them than what was on the chalkboard, so I asked the woman working there if that was all they had. She rolled her eyes and responded with "it's more than enough, isn't it". Sorry, but 5 dishes on a menu is not more than enough. So I told her that I just meant that they used to have hamburgers and thats why we came down here. "Well we dont!" So I asked my friend if she wanted to eat there since we were kind of looking for some good hamburgers and the woman interrupts, "you aren't going to find better tex mex in Oslo". We were pretty much starving after a long day of shopping, so we decided to stay despite the bitchy attitude of the woman and let me tell you, this is service at its worst in Norway. She does not make you feel welcome for being there. As we were standing there ordering, there was a couple that walked in, and did not close the door behind them. She screams at them to close the door. They just turned around and left, which is what we probably should have done. It was a Saturday night. All other restaurants were packed and this place was empty when we walked in and empty when we walked out. No wonder if that's the type of treatment towards customers they find acceptable. So my friend gets the burrito with beef and I got the southern fried chicken, which came with some grilled corn mash. The burritos was not a burrito, but an open tortilla with a cold beef salad thrown on top. The "southern" fried chicken and corn mash were salty. That's the only way to describe it. The chicken was moist, but everything just tasted of salt. There was really no other taste. I drank nearly a half of gallon of water when I got home to try and get rid of the salt taste that was drying out my mouth. Based off the tiny little menu with 5 items and the wretched woman working there, I will never be returning to this place. You need to have good food if you are going to have attitude like that and trust me, you can find better tex mex in my kitchen from my El Dorado burrito dinner kit.

Yelp
Last day in Oslo. Friday night. Thirsty Searching for somewhere to get our party on we found out the Future Islands were playing for cheap. Grabbed a drink at the main bar beforehand and the place was pretty packed. The bartender girl was pretty lame, took foreverrrr to get her attention but her drink knocked my stinkin socks off and the price was decent so whatevs. Almost time for the show to start so we went outside and around the corner down to the basement. Walk in and its small, dark, hazy, really crowded and kinda grimy ...just how we like it!!!!! The place was crawling with lots of cool funky looking locals. For once in our entire trip to Norway we felt like we almost blended into the crowd without standing out as 'those kids from LA' ha! it was a magical moment Good sound, great band, cool crowd, awesome atmosphere- everyone was there just to have a great time. Also the beer was really good &cheap, the bartenders were super friendly and the bathrooms were decently clean. Moral of the story- come visit if you are down to get a little sweaty while dancing your face off with the locals

Yelp
Upstairs : One of my favourite place in oslo! The music can be really nice, not a fancy place :) downstairs : be ready to not hear anything when you leave! Often empty during the daytime
