"A consummate purveyor of all things music and vintage vinyl, Phil Machemer sold records at the Peddler Flea Market before opening Revolver Records in North Buffalo in 2015. Now, he offers more than 30,000 new and quality used records at his brick-and-mortar space, helping shoppers choose from jazz, indie rock, soul, metal, hip-hop, punk, international, country, and anything else they desire. Machemer has had so much success with his store that he just opened a second location with a similarly varied selection in the heart of Elmwood Village."
Great selection. I was really happy to find some of my favorite bands here. I can’t always find vinyls like this back home in Ohio so I took my time here and would love to come back someday if I ever find myself in Buffalo again.

We were on a road trip that had us stopping in Buffalo on a Monday. Sadly, every other record store in the vicinity was closed. But we were lucky to have this awesome spot open. Great selection, I even found a couple of records I didn't know that I needed! Friendly staff, well-organized space, and a fun place to browse.
It's definitely a place to stop if you are a vinyl enthusiast.

I've visited this location a couple of times, and I have to say that their new location is a total upgrade from the previous one. It's extremely spacious and separates the vintage from the new releases perfectly IMO. The old location felt like it focused its use of space mainly for the wide variety of new releases, but the new location creates a perfect balance for those looking for vintage like me, and others who are seeking out newer pressings. Love it!

if you're Black stay away! incredibly weird/uncomfortable subtle undertones in the way they interacted with me. bad vibes all around! I've visited here 3 times, and besides the first interaction I had while I was with my yt friend, the subsequent two interactions were unfortunate & disappointing. I've also visited their location on Hertal and had a similar interaction with a bald gentleman who immediately mean mugged me when I entered the store. I urge all my minority folk to visit Black Dots instead!
and their selection of Black music is much to be desired! def come here if you're yt though! you'll fit right in.

Nothing like a Saturday stroll on Hertel Ave and stopping at Revolver for great records and finds. I wish the pricing was a little more competitive but I still enjoy the store and the staff. If I can recommend anything it’s to visit every little shop on that strip.

Been coming to the Elmwood location for years. It’s just fine. Pricing is often higher than expected & they seem to have a high turnover rate of employees (although maybe they just swap locations) who are sometimes helpful, and other times not so much. Lots of classic rock and popular music always on deck, however they’re often lacking records that fall under the more “eccentric” genres of music, electronic music, or just records by lesser known artists. If you find a hidden gem, you’ll often be paying much more than what you’ll expect to. Overall, place is well organized and it’s a good store to stop by if you’re looking to get that new $100 taylor swift vinyl.
