Young bouncer would not let me in on a slow week night, because I was by myself. He said that was their normal policy. I told him that I have been to many bars and nightclubs around the world, and I had never even ever heard of such a policy. He accused me of being drunk. I was 100% sober. An older bouncer let me in. Thanks, bros!!
From reading some other reviews about people who were also discriminated against, it makes me want to say what I actually felt at the time. I think it was because I'm American. Probably didn't help that I was 51 at the time. So, it could have been age discrimination or both!? They definitely checked my ID! No idea why carding someone who is 33 years past the legal drinking age of 18, is even necessary!
I've been a Bartender for 23 years!
I've worked the Super Bowl in San Diego, Coachella Music Festival in California twice, at MSP airport, a casino, many hotels, 3 baseball stadiums, a football stadium, a basketball arena, golf tournaments, etc.
I would never even think about, or ever consider, discriminating against another human being because they are from a different country! That would be utterly ridiculous and stupid!
