Absolutely fantastic experience at Reyhun Iranian Restaurant in Istanbul! We came for dinner and were blown away by the authentic Persian flavors. The kebabs were perfectly seasoned and so tender, especially the lamb, which melted in our mouths. We also tried the saffron rice and fresh herbs, which paired beautifully with everything. The staff were warm, attentive, and happy to explain the dishes. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making us feel right at home. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service. If you love Persian cuisine or want to try something new, don’t miss this gem!

My favorite Iranian restaurant in Istanbul. The highlight is definitely the mixed grill—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly charred. Their saffron rice is fragrant and fluffy, and the stew with pomegranate adds a delicious sweet-sour balance. We also tried the lamb leg, which was tender and mild in flavor—great for those who don’t like strong lamb taste. I’ve brought friends here multiple times and always felt comfortable hosting a big group. A reliable spot for hearty food and a welcoming atmosphere. They also serve a kind of dessert, Falloodeh & Ice Cream, but it wasn’t quite to my taste.

Reyhun Iranian Restaurant in Istanbul absolutely deserves a solid 5 out of 5! If you're dining here, you must try the lamb neck with saffron rice — the meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the saffron rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked. The combination was simply delicious. Service was impressively fast and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The ambience is also spot-on — warm, inviting, and beautifully designed

Hands down some of the best food you can eat in Turkey. I usually avoid Persian restaurants when I am on vacation and prefer local tastes. Actually in my multiple trips to Turkey I never came here (although had heard its really good), until on my last trip out of coincidence I came here with a friend and I just have to say I was blown away by the food and its amazing quality and taste. Maybe the best Kubide I've had in a while and probably better than what you can even get in Iran -- the land of the kubide kabab! The Qeyme Badenjan was great too. Mast Mu Seer (yoghurt and shallots) and the stuffed olives (zetoon parvarde) was perfect. I also had the sheerini khamei (balls of stuffed cream) which was really good. All this comes at a reasonable price point that is way better than competitors down the block.

It was my first time experiencing Persian food. This restaurant is very well located in the old town of Istanbul, if you go there by a car, you will have a hard time finding a parking lot. Despite the fact that we went there on a supposedly busy day, it was easy to find a table for two. I have to admit that I was expecting a different level of taste , I was not disappointed with the quality, but Persian kitchen didn’t appeal to me too much. Maybe because we had to prefer vegetarian food and haven’t been able to try to meat and chicken. Anyways, the staff was very friendly, and also spot on the decoration and cleaners of the restaurant.

If you’re looking for a dining experience in Istanbul that feels like a comforting embrace, Reyhoon Iranian Restaurant is a gem worth discovering. From the moment you step in, the warm ambiance welcomes you, with soft lighting, beautifully detailed Persian decor, and a calm atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. Whether you’re dining with family, friends, or even alone, it feels like a place where time slows down so you can truly enjoy the moment. The service is truly excellent

Don’t miss this beautiful restaurant—it's truly a hidden gem! I wish I could give it more than five stars. The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The interior design is elegant and thoughtfully done, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. There's also a pastry section where you can pick up fresh Persian cookies and cakes to take away. If you're in Istanbul, this place is a must-visit!

Google
Some of the best Persian food in Istanbul! We loved the combination meat platter that has beef and chicken kabobs with the grilled tomatoes and saffron rice. The fresh sangak bread is warm and delicious. The desserts are incredibly perfect and super creamy with all the not too sweet whipped cream. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food is good and the portion was big enough. The quality was good. Seating area is fine as well. It doesn't have a distinct look but it is welcoming and has a nice vibe. Restrooms are clean and staffs are around and ready to attend to the tables. Prices are not bad. It will cost you $20-$30 per person depending on what you order.

Yelp
All I experienced with Persian food before goes out the window. This restaurant offers so much more than my previous sampling. Parking lot adjacent to this second floor restaurant. Great for large groups. They did not tack on extra fees or tips for our large party so act accordingly when you get your bill. I had the braised lamb shank with a side of saffron rice and orange rind. I also recommend their stews. Who knew walnuts and figs could be an amazing base for a savory dish?

Yelp
Authentic Persian food in Istanbul. Adorable restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Traditional decor throughout restaurant. Service was overall good, a little slow so be patient. Only complaint is not enough vegetarian options for me. Everyone else enjoyed the kabobs and chicken.

Yelp
Excellent food, great service but the most difficult and challenging drive and location. All in all worth all the difficulties when you arrive. Much easier to grab a taxi to make life easier for yourself. I think the best Iranian good in Istanbul possibly

Yelp
it wasn't the best Iranian food, coming from US we really expected a better quality food but it wasn't that bad. Doogh was great, order it. Decoration and the vibe inside really needs work though.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with a spacious dining room and outdoor patio seating. We loved the food! I recommend trying the steak or lamb. My favorite with the rice with berries. This was my first time trying it's in good and it was delicious! Minus one star because we waited a very long time for the food to arrive. I especially loved the cold noodle dessert. I look forward to eating Iranian food in the future.

Yelp
High quality Persian food in the heart of Istiklal CD, Istanbul. Professional service and very nice place to sit and eat. We went there two times with our family during our visit to Istanbul and were completely satisfied with everything. We tried lamb neck, lamb kabab and chicken skewer, lamb chops and different desserts. Don't miss this place.

Yelp
Probably the best Persian cuisine in the entire world! Everything is tasty and fresh and price is reasonable. The atmosphere is great and service is good. I truly recommend this place to anyone who us looking for a good quality experience. This place was so great that I visited twice during my one week visit to Istanbul!

Yelp
The koobideh kabob and rice was fantastic. The stews were whatever but still fit the bill. 100% recommend it though for the excellent kabobs. Very authentic

Yelp
I have been a fan of Persian food since I married into the culture. Traveling the world I always seek it. Reyhun is a great restaurant in a good location. Not in the town square but off the path from Taksim. Service is great and the Sultani is very good too. The only thing missing would be a cold beer to wash it down.

Yelp
Best Persian food and service with great prices in Turkey. A must try. We ordered Koobideh and Chicken with their Rice very fresh and full of taste. Adem Kilic was a very nice server. Thank you.

Yelp
Great food, many options and reasonable prices. The outdoor dining area is a great addition to good food.

Yelp
Reyhun is located in Beyoğlu, Istanbul and offers many authentic dishes from Iran. I visited Reyhun after a friend suggested it to me. You must walk up two floors to reach the restaurant. When you enter, you are greeted by an entrance filled with old doors and Iranian tiles. You must keep walking until you reach the staff who will seat you. You have an option to sit outside or inside. The menu is 4 different languages(!)- English, Turkish, Arabic, and Farsi. There are most likely staff members that speak all 4 languages. I ordered the pomegranate stew, which was phenomenal. It's a thick stew made from pomegranates and walnuts. If you dig to the bottom, you will find pieces of chicken that are perfectly cooked. I highly recommend ordering a side of rice because it's hard to eat the stew alone. It's a bit sweet and thick. The rice is fantastic and good on its own. The staff is very attentive and the restaurant is beautiful. It's nicely decorated for Christmas. Overall, Reyhun is a charm in Istanbul. I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you're looking to try something new.

Yelp
Wah wah wah as we Persian speakers say when we are satisfied with what we see and taste. There are no words to describe how beautiful this restaurant was and the great thing was we were seated in the patio with a beautiful view. My family and I were craving Afghani food so the closest thing we could find was Iranian food which is very similar so we decided to come here after finding it on yelp. The food was AMAZING!!!!! We ordered koonodeh, lamb chops, white rice, Shiraz salad, yogurt, chicken kabob which all came with complementary bread. Everything hit the spot!!! I was satisfied with my meal and honestly it was so good that I wanted more! After dinner, we ordered dessert which was the shola with black tea and wow was it good The service here was great and truly everyone was friendly all around. I highly recommend coming here for dinner or lunch!!!!

Yelp
While visiting Istanbul, I was with a couple of my Iranian friends who introduced me to this place. It's a beautiful restaurant. When job first walk in the restaurant, it smells so welcoming and floral. Then you walk out onto the terrace which has a lovely ambiance. The food was so good we wound up going two days in a row. The first day, we ordered a few stews and rice and the second day we had some of the kabobs. We also had their mirza ghasemi both days. It was my first time trying that dish and it was outstanding! One of my favorite things I ate there. The prices were super reasonable and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back often if I lived in town. Thank you for the great experience!

Yelp
Amazing quality accessible location good service. We ordered the Royal of Reyhun it was an impressive variety quality & more than enough for 4 adults actually 6 adults because we ended up taking home left overs.

Yelp
It was the best Iranian food I had had in many years. Service was the fastest, food presentation was excellent, staff were friendly, and the food tasted like heaven. One of the best restaurants I tried in Istanbul.

Yelp
Great food, welcoming staff. Clean tables and a nice patio dining area. Not to mention wonderful delicious food. I recommend the koobideh!

Yelp
We had the mixed plate which was very tasty and don't forget to try the eggplant bourani yogurt.

Yelp
Just arrived in Istanbul after being in Greece for week and I was desperate for some comfort food. Being Persian I wanted some good kabob. I was looking forward to this especially because Turkey is so close to Iran. I felt I would get an authentic and different experience as what I am use to in Los Angeles where there are countless Persian restaurants. Food was fantastic. Came out fast and the quality was top notch. The environment was also really traditional and relaxing. Highly Recommended!

Yelp
Abnormally obsessed with the koobideh there. I dream of it while I'm back home in the States. The restaurant is beautiful and service is decent/nice, depending on how busy they are. But, overall, everyone is kind. Back to the koobideh, it's amazing! I eat it with butter, and onions, on top of the thin lavash bread. Definitely order that dish when there.

Yelp
Typical Persian food with lots of hidden charges and cheap taste. Kiri look owner with old microwave foods. We got very sick after eating here. They had Iranian singer name Mansour walk in there was very rude, asking for money 10 lira per person to take photo with him and owner was getting cut for that, shame always for Iranian to be Iranian. Mansour not a famous singer, very cheap drug addicted motreb. Avoid eating here.

Yelp
What an amazing Boutique Restaurant- lovely atmosphere complimenting delicious Persian cuisine at its best! Very friendly team to welcome guests. Highly recommend to all

Yelp
In general, I don't like Turkish food. It gets a little monotonous. All of my Turkish friends who visit Lebanon say the food there is better. I'm happy this place is in Taksim, as it's a relief from the monotony of peppers, tomatoes, black pepper, and mystery meat in Turkish cuisine. I had fesenjan and a salad. I'll come back.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
This is on a side street from the large main walking street that runs from Taksim Square to Tunel. The prices were good in my opinion as where I live Persian restaurants can be pricey. Here prices were no more than the average for Turkish restaurants in the area. It was nice, very quiet, and the food was very good! I was very pleased overall. The only downside is that the server was no that attentive. Had to go get him if we needed something and to pay.

Yelp
Finally a good restaurant after one week of searching in Istanbul. The Turkish food in turkey has no flavor at all. I luckily found this place on the last day of my trip!!! I wish I found it earlier. The spiral chicken and zereshk palao was perfect. The most tender chicken I have ever had. Very delicious. Nima was wonderful and very helpful, all staff was super friendly
google avatar

Tara K.

Yelp
If you're looking for something besides Turkish food while you're in Istanbul, this is a great place. Their Kababs are top quality. Their other menu items such as ghormeh sabzi and fesinjan are also extremely delicious unlike many Persian restaurants in the west. The service is always good and it's located just off of istiklal.

Yelp
First time trying Iranian cuisine and this restaurant was a real treat. Truly enjoyed the meal
google avatar

Wade P.

Yelp
The food was ok. But the service sucks. As you walk in or walk out, five to ten staff will make eye contact with you, but not even one will greet you or thank you. Just eat at a street vendor and at least it doesn't hurt if you are not welcomed. But I guess this is the difference between the US and the rest of the world.

Yelp
the guy from restaurant was desperately looking for customer he was in all stores and in istiklal street insisting to come to their restaurant after 3 times in 2 days he approached us i said ok let us find it and try it was a little restaurant like a boot in narrow street hard to find it waiter came with nasty attitude and said he doesnt speak farsi dont know that many iranian people in turkey why they have him as a waiter he was not willing to help when i asked for ice for soda he was surprised why i want ice i asked for tap water they charged us for water we ordered koobideh with rice koobideh was full of fat and rice and kabab was cold french fries looked was from yestrday I was wondering why he was so insistant take people to this restaurant from taksim I was asking myself he doesnt understand with this bad service nobody is coming back

Elmira K.

Yelp
Very very good. The quality of food is really good, fast service and professional personnel. Highly recommended.

Saman B.

Yelp
Super cute restaurant with amazing doogh. The kabob was wonderful and the ghormeh sabzi wasn't bad. Would definitely go again to try other things on the menu.
