Reyhun is located in Beyoğlu, Istanbul and offers many authentic dishes from Iran.
I visited Reyhun after a friend suggested it to me. You must walk up two floors to reach the restaurant. When you enter, you are greeted by an entrance filled with old doors and Iranian tiles. You must keep walking until you reach the staff who will seat you. You have an option to sit outside or inside.
The menu is 4 different languages(!)- English, Turkish, Arabic, and Farsi. There are most likely staff members that speak all 4 languages.
I ordered the pomegranate stew, which was phenomenal. It's a thick stew made from pomegranates and walnuts. If you dig to the bottom, you will find pieces of chicken that are perfectly cooked. I highly recommend ordering a side of rice because it's hard to eat the stew alone. It's a bit sweet and thick. The rice is fantastic and good on its own.
The staff is very attentive and the restaurant is beautiful. It's nicely decorated for Christmas.
Overall, Reyhun is a charm in Istanbul. I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you're looking to try something new.
