Reykjavik Residence Apartment Hotel

Our stay at Reykjavik Residence Apartment Hotel was absolutely wonderful! I'd stay here again in a heartbeat if I ever return to Iceland. The hotel has several buildings around Reykjavik and they have 24 hour staff available, located in one of their buildings- so depending on your needs, you may never see a staff member. We stayed in the Prime Minister Building- you don't choose where you stay, it's based on the room you book, and you'll be informed of the location 24 hours prior to arrival. Our room was perfect! We traveled with our two sons (13 and 11) and there was plenty of room. They don't have hotel parking, but parking is nearby. There was a parking garage right across the street, but Parking Zone 3 (cheapest) was just like a block south of the building, and that's where we parked (pay through an app, which was very easy to navigate and adding on extra time if necessary was also easy). On our second night, we arrived back to our room late, but my phone wouldn't open the bedroom door (getting into the building and your room can be keyless through a phone app). I called the Front Desk and within 5-8 minutes, a staff member came with two physical keys for us. Our location was within an easy/direct 5 minute walk to the restaurants and shops. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there were enough towels for everyone (I hate how hotels will do three bath towels when it can sleep four people). Reykjavik Residence Apartment Hotel was worth every penny.

This was our first time to Iceland and I am sure it will to be our last. Sebastian and Raul, the front desk men we were blessed to work with were terrific. They were very patient, kind and informative. Our room overlooked the the Main Street through town, yet the room was quiet and the sleep was uninterrupted. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The shower was good, but the floor drain was not working well, but not a big deal. We will be back.

We stayed here for 3 nights and was extremely impressed with the location, service and amenities. We stayed in unit 701 which was ground floor. Great for our 2 children 7 & 10 and my wife and I. This place makes it super easy to make a quick meal for breakfast or dinner with a nicely appointed kitchen. ||The bar located right outside was so cool too. We loved picking up scooters and taking trips down town. ||Ear plugs were provided which concerned us a bit. Assume we are ground floor and gatherings outside of the bar might get loud but it was super quiet even on a Friday night. ||Parking was not included but easy to find and pay for right near by our unit. ||We have traveled a lot and was very surprised with this place and highly recommend.

The 3 bedroom apartment with two baths was newly built and quite nice. Very quiet. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs and both bathrooms are downstairs next to a third bedroom, kitchen and living room. Occitane shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and hand soap were provided, and kitchen had all the appliances we needed. Milk, orange juice, one coffee pod per person, and cereal were complimentary. We also bought the breakfast delivery service which worked out well for a casual start to the day. Location is fantastic for tourism sites, though there is construction work on the street so we had to walk about 30 yards to the nearest taxi. Highly recommend Reykjavik Residence Hotel.

We spent 3d2n here early July. Right in the downtown. Took flybus plus from the airport & stopped at Stop 14. About 10-15 minutes walk to the hotel from bus stop. We rented a car the following day, you may park your car near to this area (P3) for reasonable rates. Check in was swift & hassle-free. Friendly staffs with great smiles. Room was spacious. All amenities were provided. Equipped with microwave & coffee machine. One may help yourself with simple meals. Close proximity to the main attractions and eateries. Only down side was the ongoing road construction right in front of the hotel.. Overall still a pleasant stay!

We actually stayed here twice, at both locations. Travelled with my 85 year old father and 2 adult cousins. The 1st hotel room we were assigned was closer to the bus stop but the other was just a little further and easy to navigate once we arrived. They sent you the key access via app which was super handy. Both hotel rooms were tidy, clean, had everything we needed. My limited interaction with staff was very pleasant and the breakfast with fresh bread was soooooo lovely. My two constructive comments would be as follows: 1. There was no counter space in the bathroom during the first stay (while the second stay had lots). 2. The Main hotel had construction out front which was difficult to navigate for my elderly father. I don't think it would have changed my decision to stay but would have helped us prepare for it.|Both these comments are not a big deal and I would not hesitate to stay again.

The rooms are big and very nice. The service is 10 stars. Everyone was so nice and very helpful. The rooms were cleaned spotless every day. They even loaded the dishwasher! The location is literally RIGHT downtown. There was some noise at night with bars being open later. We added the breakfast basket. We are used to hotel buffets in the US. I honestly thought the breakfast wouldn't be enough. It was too much! They give you SO much food!!! Milk and orange juice were included as well. In the morning, you get a loaf of fresh bread... no words for how good it is. We are craving it constantly. I was extremely happy we went with this apartment for our stay.

Great location for seeing downtown and waterfront. Clean, comfortable, spacious junior suites with kitchenette and large windows (which helped on gray days!). We were here on a 40% off special which included a delivered breakfast. The hotel has different size rooms but the junior suites were perfect for our needs. We stayed in 3 in the same bldg - family vacation. The hotel was very helpful in showing us inexpensive parking near where we stayed.
