On the Grid : Reynard

"Who says you have to choose between the jaw-dropping views from the rooftop of the Wythe Hotel or the impeccable menu of the Reynard? You don't. Enjoy farm-to-table dishes, updated daily based on what's in season in one of the most elegant buildings in Brooklyn. Graze on brunch as you bask in the warm summer light, then head up stairs to the roof for a drink and take in all the city has to offer." - Krrb

Worst experience in my 15 years of renting. As other reviewers have states, there's constant noise. I have submitted numerous noise complaints and management does nothing about it. I'm routinely woken up in the middle of the night or early morning. As other reviewers have states, there are constantly young children running around in the halls and common grounds unattended, even at like 11 or 12 at night. Management does nothing about it. There was a fight between two women in the courtyard this weekend and police had to come. The fire alarm has gone off in the entire building multiple times in the 5 months I've lived here and everyone had to evacuate the building. I have had ongoing electrical issues and flickering lights in my bathroom and kitchen which has caused the circuit breaker to flip several times. Maintenance has come and even brough in an outside electrician but the issue has not been fixed. I found out that multiple other apartments on my floor were having the same issue. When I returned from vacation in July my hot water smelt like rotten eggs. I submitted a maintenance request on 7/16 and it was not fixed until 7/21, 5 days later. In that I'm I could not shower or use hot water in my apartment. I was contently being fraudulently billed for renters insurance even though I had submitted proof or renters insurance prior to even receiving my lease in February. I was repeatedly told that the documents I submitted met the requirements only to log into my rental portal the next month and see that I was once again billed for renters insurance through Bozzuto. It literally took 5 months, 50 emails, like 10+ document submissions and involving DC Office of the Attorney General, Office of Consumer Protection, OAG Mediation Program before they stopped billing me for renters insurance. My dog and I were accosted by a woman right at the front entrance/desk simply because we were walking by her when going for a walk. DC Office of the Attorney General submitted a request to Bozzuto to allow me to terminate my lease without penalty. We asked their lawyers to respond by a Friday and they did not respond until the following Wednesday. We submitted a request for reconsideration and asked for them to respond and again they responded late to our request. Although management is polite, they continue to not address any complaints and maintenance continues to go unresolved. I will say the only silver lining to this experience is that the front desk staff are very polite. Miles, the concierge is the nicest. The loudness and disorderly neighbors, along with paper thin walls, is a reoccurring theme in negative reviews so please read other reviews on google before considering this complex.

Ayanna and Miles are really welcoming and friendly. The concierge team and consultants makes me feel home! I enjoy my life in this apartment. The amenities are so good! I love the outdoors area and also the gym. I also wanna thank the clean crew. The apartment is so tidy and i love it. Residents are also friendly according to my experience.

Good Morning Reynard Family Today I was totally surprised to see the most wonderful experience between Miles and a resident. Miles has taken upon himself to learn sign language to communicate and greet a resident. I have told Miles that I appreciate everything he has done for me from taking messages when I first applied here to being that person whom Always Always having a smile and a laughter with me. If I’m ever feeling sad I know I can come see you your smile makes me smile. Miles even greets his animal friends by name with a treat. THANKS for the small talk and laughter. Keep up the fantastic person and personality you have. Enjoy your day like you Enjoy your job A HAPPY RESIDENT AT REYNARD Lisa J

Not a resident but I took a tour with the leasing agent Lamar. He was excellent! Very kind, informative, and a wonderful tour guide. The property is nice and in an ok area. Being from dc I’m familiar with how that area can turn up at the blink of an eye. Unfortunately I’ve chosen to go with another property due to some concerns I saw while touring. The reviews about kids running everywhere is true. There were a couple of instances of kids being unattended or with their parent & not being watched. A couple of other pitfalls caught my attention as well that I didn’t particularly like that ultimately made my decision to finalize elsewhere but I will say it’s not a bad place to look and tour to rent. Additionally the concierge was very nice and welcoming. I can’t remember the young lady name but she was lovely.

Top tier!!! Can I say TOP TIER when it comes my stay at The Reynard!!! From the moment you walk through the double doors of the entrance you experience excellence. First of all you get the awesome pleasure of being met by Myles. He is one of the Concierge Staffers, who is pleasant, helpful and a positive vibe to see daily. Ayanna and Jaina are great too, and they are also helpful concierge staffers. Ms. Chelsea who is the Manager at The Reynard does a wonderful job with the upkeep of this lovely community. She is always kind and willing to assist me when I have a question. Next I would like to mention Ms. Bianca who is the assistant manager, she too has been there to assist me with a question in a pleasant and helpful way. Then we have Gillian and Lamar who are apart of the leasing team also, displaying professional and pleasant vibes, and if you need help will assist with patience. Lastly the maintenance team are awesome and fast when you need them to look into a small matter. It’s been a great experience my entire one year stay at The Reynard.

I had the most bizarre experience visiting the Reynard. I went on their website and found the unit I was interested in seeing prior to scheduling my tour. When I went, the leasing agent showed me another unit before showing me the one I wanted. When we got to the unit I wanted, he shared that he initially wanted that unit for himself and his wife but ended up putting it back on the market a couple days before my tour. At the end of my tour, I expressed that I liked the apartment and would be interested in moving forward. He checked and confirmed that it qualified for the 1.5 month special. By the time I got home and went on their website to apply, the listing was taken down lol. I sent an email and got no reply. I know landlords, property managers and leasing agents are notoriously shady but this was unbelievable and a complete waste of my time. Other considerations: - All of the amenities are on the first floor - Some units are a long walk from the elevators - The finishes are inconsistent. (White and brown cabinets mixed) Judging from other reviews, their leasing agents seem to deter prospective tenants. That’s what did it for me. To avoid future problems, I’ve decided not to apply here.

I’ve been living here for about 6 months and so far it’s been great! However the real reason I’m leaving a review is to give a shoutout to the amazing concierge staff at this building, specifically Ayanna! Every day, she greets residents with such warmth and positivity, it’s always a joy to see her when I come home (she’s also definitely one of the dogs favorites!). She genuinely cares about the people in the building and goes above and beyond to help anytime you need anything. I had an issue once with an aggressive driver in the garage, and Ayanna handled my concerns with such kindness and professionalism, making me feel very heard and safe. Overall, Ayanna’s energy, care, and presence make Reynard feel even more like home. Shoutout to Ayanna!🫶🏽

Living at the Reynard Apartments has been a fantastic experience, and a big part of that is thanks to Ayanna, our concierge. From day one, she has gone above and beyond to make sure residents feel welcome, safe, and taken care of. Whether it’s handling packages with care, greeting everyone with a warm smile, or helping resolve any issues quickly and professionally. She’s incredibly attentive and always remembers the little things that make a big difference—like remembering names, following up on requests, and making sure common areas are always in top shape. The Reynard itself is a great place to live—clean, modern, and thoughtfully managed—but having Ayanna at the front desk really elevates the experience.
