Went for a 2nd visit yesterday. Even more amazing than I remembered. There are parts of this place that feel magical almost like another world. Enchanted forest vibes. I got videos of deer and turtles. The trails are well marked here. Nothing too strenuous and several routes to choose from. I even found a few parts.I had not seen the first time I came. Very peaceful here. Hope you enjoy the photos and videos.

This was a nice 1.5 mile walk with my dad. Shady wood chip path most of the way. Some decent hills but this is a nice easy ish walking spot. Close to the highway- great place to stretch your legs. They have bathrooms and water fountains too.

Beautiful place to visit! Can’t wait to visit in the spring! We went on the big snow weekend this year and everything was covered in snow! We have already discussed going back when it’s warmer!

Nice little trail, bring shoes you don’t mind getting dirty, mostly dirt trail path not paved path.

Had such a great time here! Nice walking trails and there are enough to switch it up each time! Very clean! We enjoyed the ponds and seeing the turtles! We will be back!

True nature, Trail, for you to come out to walk, run and enjoy the pure Sounds of Nature. It’s decently maintained, and clean. There are areas for sitting along the trails randomly.

I love nature, trails, waterfalls ... even going mudding! 😹 I came to this place since the weather was finally warm enough to walk out. It was peaceful. I enjoyed walking up the hill. I can tell it would be more beautiful if it wasn't cold outside. I think it's so amazing how the ground grows up here. We're flat in Tampa, Florida.

Peaceful hike that is shaded. There is a decent amount of parking and it is paved. The trails are very well defined and there are some post markers along the way to tell you what trail you’re on. There are different trails you can follow, some of which have little creeks running along them, ponds, and small valleys. There is also a little hill that will give you a work out! This is a hiking place that anyone can go to, it’s easy hiking and walking paths. There are a lot of roots though so be a bit careful. There is also a picnic area in a shaded field.

Yelp
Looking for an easy to moderate hiking spot with clean trails and free parking? Check out Reynolds Nature Preserve. Coming from Atlanta on a Saturday morning, there was light traffic, and the address brought you directly to the free parking lot. The area has lots of foliage, so it's very shaded and a perfect spot for a summer hike or walk. There are several paths and markers, so you can change it up. My friend and I walked two different paths in 1 hour. In addition to the hiking trails, you also have a grass space with a few picnic tables, perfect for a quiet area to have lunch or meet with a group of friends.   Foot traffic was steady, and there were a few people walking solo however it's not something I would do since it's a forest area and not very crowded.

Yelp
Great place for an easy hike, BUT there is elevation on the hike. Lots of people walking with their dogs. The Preserve is located in a neighborhood with free parking. There are bathrooms, picnic tables and a nice lake (no fishing alllowed). Be careful and watch your feet. There are lots of exposed trees roots.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I love the picnic area and Alexander's lake. The walking trail was nice.

Yelp
I lead hikes for a group, so I'm often looking for places in different parts of town. In searching on the south side of town, I came across the Reynolds Nature Preserve. I scouted the park twice, looking for parking options and determining the trail routes that I'd like to follow. I really enjoyed my time there on both visits. I preferred the counter clock direction for an overall easier hike as well as ending the loop closer to the lake. The inner lake loop was fairly easy, but the inner mountain look made my thighs burn. One of the trail names is Burstin' Heart and they aren't kidding. It's not difficult but I was definitely huffing and puffing a bit. The scenery is typical Georgia woods with a fair number of squirrels. I noticed on the warmer day a lot of flying gnats (swarms of them) so don't forget your bug spray. Overall, a great little park and I'm glad that I found it. It's a great option for a pretty and quick walk in the woods. Yelp #13 2022

Yelp
Absolutely love this hidden gem! Extremely well taken care of and absolutely serene from the craziness of the city! Plenty of incline and decline, well marked trails, loops, benches along the trails, picnic tables & trash cans (near the parking lot), ponds, wildlife (turtles, birds, squirrels, fish), and stunning views. This has become my go-to spot for walking/hiking. You can make it as difficult or easy as you want! I can't recommend it enough. Come early on a weekend for a parking spot.

Yelp
Super peaceful, gorgeous, luscious trail! There's a few trails all running along together and it's very beautiful! Watch out for poison ivy!! It's everywhere here!

Yelp
Been going here for YEARS.. lately it has become so infested with middle and high school skippers that it's lost it's charm. This has always been a place for them to hang out but it's much worse now! If you walk through the clouds of weed smoke and think there's finally peace and quiet.. nope!.. all benches at the front seem to stay occupied by loud teenagers. Thank goodness they stay towards the front of the place so there is some peace and quiet deep within the trails..

Yelp
This is a beautiful park, or as they call this place a nature preserve. I've been here quite a few times just to go hiking (4 mile trail) in the area, the preserve sits on 146 acres, it has a few ponds and creeks and is a great site to visit if you just want to walk around in nature, see a few animals (deer, squirrels, foxes, rabbits, different birds, etc...) One thing you should enjoy here is that they have guides who work inside the centre, they have different native species, snakes, birds and other things on display that they will show you and talk about. This is great for kids. Reynolds Nature Preserve is 1.5 miles away from Clayton State University. When coming here, just take Jonesboro Rd, turn onto Huie Rd and then take Reynolds Rd and go North. Park Info: Hours: Daily 8:00 a.m. until dusk INTERPRETIVE CENTER HOURS (exhibit native species) Monday through Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Dogs: You can bring them, but they MUST be on a leash.

Yelp
A shout-out to my friend Janos for making me aware of this park. Very nice, fairly small urban nature preserve. I saw no one else on the trails on a cold, early Saturday morning. It had rained just a few hours prior. But I like hiking alone in city parks - makes you feel like you're somewhere else. Reynolds' trails are the easy-to-walk sort, even after the rain. This is where you go to calm your spirit, not exercise your body. There are no trail markings. Other parks and preserves paint colored squares and such on trees along their trails. Not here. There are a few signs at intersections that denote the trail name, but none that note other information such as direction back to Nature Center. The trail map at the parking area is the only one you'll see and it isn't real clear. However, you can't get lost. The preserve is too small and the contours of the land will lead you back from whence you started. Lots of sitting benches scattered about the grounds and along the trails. Someone has built an observation tower on the east side. Not sure if it's on preserve grounds or is for something else. Closed off at present while construction is completed. I will come back sometime to see what is to be made of this structure. Reynolds Nature Preserve might not be a destination city hike along the lines of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area sites, but it is certainly worth a visit and offers nearby residents a great option for whiling away a couple of hours among the trees. If you visit, consider donating towards the upkeep of the preserve. There's a box near the nature center.

Yelp
I have been coming to Reynolds for 20 years. Great trails, rangers, flowers, etc. Excellent birding as well- cardinals, bluejays, robins, bluebirds, wrens, towhees, woodpeckers, owls, hawks, etc.

Yelp
Shssssssssh!!! Please do NOT come here! This is JUST a 146-acre PRESERVE. There is NOTHING TO SEE here, folks. Just a rare glimpse of NATURAL OAK, HICKORY and PINE FOREST just south of Atlanta, with native plants like the NATIVE AZALEAS that greet you with a fragrant "hello" each spring as they play Hide and Seek along the 4 MILES of MAINTAINED TRAILS that weave throughout the forest. Yep! Nothing to see, unless...you choose one of the more challenging trails that just might get your HEART PUMPING trails as you pass GEOLOGICALLY INTRIGUING CREVICES and boulders, on your way to the HIGHEST RIDGE in Clayton County. You probably won't notice the resident DEER, unless you are quietly strolling at dawn or dusk. They are probably on their way to one of the several CREEKS, SPRINGS or PONDS to chat with the turtles and frogs. Yep! Nothing to see here, folks. Please move along.

Yelp
Great park. It has different hiking trails that rank in difficulty & all connect into a loop kind of like 285. With that being said anyone new to atlanta knows how confusing 285 can be. Me & my golden crew(pushing 70 folks) had no intention to hike the longest, steepest trail. ..lmbo. I can laugh about it now but then it felt never ending & not the gingerly after dinner stroll I wanted. Oh well we made it out. Next time I'll take a picture of the map at the beginning as the trail markers are confusing. Enjoy.

Yelp
It's pretty. Nature is taking over the manmade clearings.it was pretty quiet as well. It's a nice hideout from the bustle of the city. It also smelled sooo fragrant. The flowers were so lovely. I could've just laid there and basked in the floral scents forever.
