I took my daughter here for a seminar that she had to attend. It was in a very nice and quiet area with a park right next to it and right by the river as well. The staff was very friendly and the entire building looked very nice and clean. This looks like a great place for the youths to stay and learn also. Seems like a very family friendly area as well as for pets to run around.

This is a pretty comfortable hostel, less young and hip and geared more towards families and older travellers. I stayed in the common room - there are two bunk beds and a a bathroom. The bedding is clean, the bathroom has a shower and a separate toilet and you get a towel and some soap and shampoo as well. The closets in the room don't have locks on them, so if you're worried leave your valuables at the reception. The staff is very nice and speak English. There's a little bar where you can get a drink (alchohol as well) and a restaurant. I just had breakfast there which was ok. Pretty standard German stuff. Coffee is a bit awful but tea is very decent. All in all very good for the price and I would recommend it if you're on a budget.

You get what you pay for. Room: Lived in room 203. 4 beds (2 bundbeds). 1 table. 2 closets. Clean. No air conditioning that it got really hot on warm days even though we slept with open windows. The bed was hard, but it had the hardness I was comfortable with. The toilet was clean. It was divided into 3 sections: one with toilet, one with basin, one with shower. Possible to lock the toilet only and their was a door to the shower, which was good when sharing room with many other people. The water pressure was good. Me, not being used to youth hostel didn't know that they didn't even have handsoap available in the bathroom. They did not even sell it in the reception. Good that there was a grocery shop nearby. Location: Not much nearby except the park. At least 20 min walk to Mainz city where there are cafés and restaurants. Food: The breakfast is not too bad. Surprising good quality of the watermelon served. Not the most amazing quality, but they had typical breakfast stuff available. No warm breakfast items. The coffee was bland. Their ice tea was sour(?) and watery. Orange juice also watery. The lunch was often pretty tasteless. Good that they offered much vegetables. They also had some kind of simple desserts (such as pudding) The dinner was german dinner consisting of similar food as breakfast. Not really of my preference.

Nice place with helpful support. Big rooms with the view of the river. It is very cosy and friendly place. Tasty breakfast with a variety of food. Unfortunately all the food is cold, I am used to start a day with hot meal. It was the cheapest hostel, which I found in Mainz, but still 21 euro for one night in place for youth its too much.

Everything was amazing BUT the food was probably taken from the junkyard and some of the rooms smelled like they were the junkyard.

Hostel is in a quiet residential area by a park on the outskirts of the city. Stayed in a 2 bedded room with en suite. Very clean and comfortable. Good buffet breakfast and evening meal. Only downside was some noise from door in corridor (next to our room) although it was quiet during the night.||Secure shed for bike storage.

Stayed here a single night Summer 2019. I can't for that reason properly comment on the amenities, but the staff was nice. Don't recall any locker availability in the dorms nor particularly swift wifi, but as it was merely and overnight stay that wasn't a huge deal.

Myself and two friends stayed in this hostel while on a cycle trip following Rhine Route Velo 15. We had a 4 bed room but only paid for 3 beds and no one used the other bed. Evening meal was very good as was breakfast. Secure place for our bikes and was able to hire towels. Located close to a park and a few kilometers from Mainz city center.
