Rhizophora Spa

The Spa is lovely. The staff are welcoming and accommodating. I had a wonderful service, body scrub & massage. Channa was exceptional. Highly recommend if staying at the resort.

The location is absolutely gorgeous. I chose this place over Atlantis and other kid friendly places because I wanted to stay closer to the ocean and away from the crowds. Also, I loved the colorful, quirky huts. The property looks beautiful just like in the pictures. The room was very cool in the July heat but we did have to keep the AC on. It had a rustic look and feel. There were some signs of slight disrepair like missing or torn bug screens. I had opted for an elevated hut but we didn't use the kitchenette because it was hot outdoors and one of my kids doesn't like flies. That was the other issue with the outdoor dining -- the ceiling fans were not very effective, especially when you have to wait 45 minutes for the food to arrive. The manager was really helpful and arranged with the chef for a special vegan menu for us. The food itself was terrific and almost worth the long wait! There are also some good restaurants within walking distance. We tried one of them and the wait was just as long but we were seated indoors in AC after showing our CDC vaccination cards. All in all, a very good resort.

Good food, easy going, people ate friendly, lots of locals eat here. The scenery is amazing as you enjoy your meal. Fish tacos were great. Service was a bit slow, but with the view and good company, it was not a problem. The quality and quality of the food was very good. Stop by, you will be asking why you didn't stop in sooner!

Enjoyed lunch at the restaurant and it was a great experience! Service was warm, friendly and very attentive. The lunch menu offered a variety of local and international choices and I recommend their crack conch and conch fritters! Tried the curry and it was spicy and well flavored. The views from the outdoor patio were stunning. Well worth a visit for the dining experience when in Nassau.

This is an amazing local resort. If you are looking for something more intimate as opposed to right in the center of all the tourism, this place is where it's at. The rooms were clean and directly on the ocean, which was perfect. It's farther away from all of the usual attractions, but we rented a car so that's the part we liked about it. It's on the northwest side of the island, away from paradise island and downtown. The restaurant gets very busy on the weekends, which is cool for the live band, but leaves you no parking if you are staying there and get back at night. That's the only negative thing. The breakfast at the restaurant was always amazing and the staff were so friendly. One bartender who's name was Keeom (probably really spelling that wrong, sorry man) was the best, told us where to go and had awesome service. All of the ladies at the front desk were amazing. (2/28/19 visit) My flight landed early and I had 8 hrs to spare until the rest of my friends arrived. Saw reviews for Compass Pointe and decided to give them a visit. They held my bags in storage while I enjoyed the scenic view on their restaurant patio. I had conch fritters and an old fashioned. Both were great. After, I lounged around on the pier. Calm crystal clear waters. Definitely recommend visiting. All the staff were very hospitable.

This could be easily have been my third time there in as little as 4 weeks. And each time there was an issue. After placing reservations for a 15-20 persons when we arrived we had no table and table then tables had to be added as our party arrived. The wait on food was far to long more than an hour for some of us and when the food came some of it had to be returned to the kitchen..one order was completely forgotten about so the wait was another 20-25 minutes...the last time I was there 3 nights ago after being seated for 15 minutes a server finally arrived..took the drink order...brought menu...took the order right away and it took us about an hour to get 1 order of wings and 1 order of conch fritters (of which we couldn't eat). If you're looking for someplace with a nice view this is your spot. If you're looking for good food..this is not spot...fast service this is not the spot...the waiters are ok..but maybe they should consider especially on busy nights to hire more staff...it will be a long while before I go there again if ever again...

Review is for the restaurant only. We have been coming here for years for sunset dinners. We have seen somewhat of a decline in service. However, this past year, we were extremely disappointed and our table was not the only ones extremely unhappy. The wait for food was obscene. Waiters never checked on you. $50 lobster entree was extremely overdone. Waiter never brought butter. Some appetizers we ordered were no longer available and we were never given the option to order something in their place. Will not return unless I see consistently better reviews. When I went to speak to the manager, there were two other tables waiting to speak to him for the same exact reasons. In their defense, they did credit us on our bill. However, that was not our objective.
