RHO Hotel Amsterdam

Was very helpfull when i needed directions to place help booking taxi and tourst place . Very good communication . Rooms where very clean too. Even seen some of staff in the bar and they ask me to come in they where very friendly it lovely hotel and worth it . And it location idesl in the centre of everything in amserdam station only 5 min walk down the road.

I did not appreciate the service at the reception. The staff does not pay attention to guests’ requests, and my special request was not fulfilled, with no explanation or follow-up. The luggage storage service is very concerning: there is no security at all, no access control, and no cameras inside. Anyone can enter, which is unacceptable for a hotel. Housekeeping does not come every day. The room was left exactly as it was, without cleaning or tidying up. The room is very small and poorly soundproofed. You can clearly hear noise from neighboring rooms. In addition, there was a lot of noise coming from the exterior. Overall, the value for money is poor: the hotel is too expensive for the level of service and comfort provided. 👉 My advice: skip this hotel. There are much better options nearby for the same price or even cheaper.

My room was impeccably clean and in good order, but it was dark and looked out on walls. Luck of the draw--I'm sure other rooms were brighter.The lobby itself is quite grand and spacious, but the furniture could really use an update. First impressions count, and this space could really be upgraded.Staff was very pleasant and helpful, and location was great.

I'm absolutely satisfied with the value I got staying at RHO Hotels. Right off the bat, the location is fantastic, and I was greeted with a genuinely warm welcome. Service stayed solid throughout my stay. Let me be clear from the start: this is not a five star hotel, not even close. It's probably officially a three star property, and that's exactly what you should expect walking in. But here's the thing, it delivers really well within that tier, which is why I'm giving it a solid four star review. Sometimes the best experiences come from places that know exactly what they are and execute on that without pretense. The hotel itself is modest, nothing flashy, but it's clean and well maintained. My room was plenty spacious and inviting. Sure, the materials and finishes lean toward the plain and standard side of things, but comfort wasn't compromised at all. The bathroom was also roomy and clean, which matters more than fancy fixtures in my book. You're not getting luxury here, but you're getting exactly what you need done right. The building has two levels above the lobby with an elevator that's a bit slow. Depending on your schedule and when you're coming and going, it can get a little busy, but nothing that became a real problem. Breakfast was satisfactory. Really good spread with tons of baked goods and some unique regional items that gave it local flavor. Buffet style with plenty of everything. You can't go wrong adding this to your stay. One small note, since I was traveling solo this didn't really impact me, but I would have liked to see more towels provided (and maybe better quality ones too). Just something to keep in mind if you're staying with someone else. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. The location is the star of the show, and everything else was good enough quality to keep me happy for the duration. Set your expectations appropriately for what this place is, a straightforward, well run hotel in an excellent location, and you'll leave just as satisfied as I did. I stayed three nights and got exactly the value I was looking for.

A great hotel that I found last minute when had to spend one night in Amsterdam unexpectedly. Great service, they have all the facilities you might need. The room could have a brighter lighting though, it was pretty dim, but for me it wasn’t a problem. What was exceptional though, is their breakfast! I don’t remember when I last time had such a versatile choice in European hotels. They have really everything (scrambled and boiled eggs, cereals, pancakes, croissants, fruits, veggies, yoghurt, coffee, tea, juices and much more) and it’s super delicious!! As I said, I rarely decide to have breakfast at a hotel, but here it was even better than in many cafes. Thank you, Rho Hotel :)

Good location heart of the tourist area, close to all places to visit, walk to train station or tram outside door a block away. The rooms are comfortable, they could put bigger bed in room we were assigned but still was nice basic room. A little noisy outside the entrance after hours as it is like a alley entrance to hotel with people walking back to hotels or leaving pubs. But was not terrible.

The place is definitely a maze!! Moving between floors feels crazy and confusing, almost like a puzzle. The building itself is very old and historic, so if you enjoy staying in classic Amsterdam houses, you might actually appreciate that charm. The rooms are old fashioned and honestly not very clean. Even the sealing and some parts of the toilet were moldy, which raised a bit of a health concern for me, especially with the black mold in the shower. Amenities are also old style, nothing modern at all. On the positive side!! they were thoughtful enough to provide ear plugs, which makes sense because the building is really old and the sound isolation is very poor. You can literally hear everything, even your neighbors are using the toilet !

My children insisted to write a review. ||TRUELLY amazing experience! The staff is like a family, they make you feel right at home. The decor is great for a movie and the location couldn't be better. We know the city center inside out and it was lovely to stroll around the back roads. Great price for the best location! Highly recommended!
