The Cheapest Places You Can Fly to From All 50 States

"October’s cheapest domestic route is to Washington, DC for $91 and the October international fare is a generic Canada listing at $283. Google
This airport was very clean , TSA was easy to get through. Plenty of food places no lines during the first flights out

Kelly Michael Skelton

Google
Great regional airport. Easy security process, hardly ever a wait and good food/wait areas inside the terminal.

Jason Lovelady

Google
The airport operates smoothly with efficient processes, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. Additionally, I must commend the restrooms, which are the cleanest and most well-maintained I have ever seen in any mass transportation facility.

Google
It's always great coming home. What's better is that Breeze offers direct seasonal flights from Los Angeles, which made flying with an infant amazing. I've never experienced delays or long wait times at Green.

Mr. Branham

Google
Airport has pretty good signage. Nothing real special about it. It's just your typical airport getting off. The plane is easy to get to baggage and to your rental car spot for me. Lines were fast. It is quite of a walk now. If you coming from the gate we came from you have to go down and then back up and then around the corner and then back up again for rental car. But for baggage you just go out and down. You're right there. Other than that it's your typical airport. They don't have a lot of stations. If you just want to camp up and do work. But you know you can always go to a restaurant I guess for that

Google
Leaving this review so others don’t make the same mistake as me😂 I read all the reviews about how quick and amazing security is, little to no line, can arrive 45 mins prior and you’ll be fine and that was not the case for me. I arrived right at 5 am for my flight that left at 6 am, and this was the line for security. It was wrapped around the entire building all the way to the exit doors, this photo doesn’t show the other 2 extremely long lines for pre check and southwest priority boarding. I was still waiting in line when I heard the final boarding call for my flight. I will say, the line did move quick (ish) considering how long it was, but I barely made it…. they shut the aircraft doors as soon as I walked on board 😂 I think in total, I was in line for about 40ish minutes. TSA officers also convinced me to get out of line and try the “clear” biometric thing, 10/10 do NOT recommend. Had I done that when I first got in the TSA line, it may have been worth it, but don’t do it after already waiting in line. You’re better off staying in line for sure😬 I will say, the bathrooms were immaculate (when I flew inbound and had time to go into one) and the man playing piano at 11:30 pm at the baggage claim was a nice touch!

Google
Incredibly small airport. Easy to navigate. Not many great food options. Two Dunkin Donuts. Floors about 6pm throughout the airport on a Monday were dirty and littered in the seating areas. Check-in went well at the Southwest counter but my bag rage didn’t print so I had to wait in a short line of 3 people. The attendant was nice. TSA pre check had no wait at all. (Arrived at 5:45pm on Monday). Parked in Lot E for a rental return. Shuttle took a couple minutes but the gentleman was very friendly. I don’t think the air conditioning worked on the bus. It was warm. Flight is delayed so far.

Google
One of my favorite airports to fly out of. Very small, most flights I could arrive 45 minutes to boarding and make the flight comfortably. Fairly good access to public transportation, with RIPTA buses to Providence and URI for $2. Generally a bit more expensive than Logan, and less direct flight options, but definitely a more pleasant experience.

Yelp
This is by far my number one airport. Lines are smooth. Even arriving at the airport with construction you can still clearly find great directions/signs. TSA is quick and pleasant. They have all lines opened and I appreciate that. Everyone answers your questions with a smile. The new bathrooms are very clean, beautiful and very modern with the all in one wash and automatic hand dryer on every sink. Loved it!! Wished I can make all my trips from here.

Yelp
I didn't ever think I would be visiting this airport, but due to a recent business trip to the southeastern part of MA, I finally made it. There are some neat old boats near baggage claim which you can't miss. A lot of ppl complain about the long trek to the rental cars, but there are several moving sidewalks to get you there. The rental car building is actually 2 blocks off the airport property. Wow, so yeah, it's a ways over there. Luckily, it didn't seem as far away on the return trip. Reataurant options are sort of limited at this airport. They have sit-down places at the end of the terminal, but for fast food counter service, you're stuck with hot dogs, burgers, or an empanada place. There is also a bar at the central food court in case none of the food options sound appealing.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute airport that gives you direct access to Providence and notably Newport - who knew it was such a hot destination. The bathrooms here are the nicest bathrooms I've ever used in an airport. Currently the terminals are imbued with Rhode Island first and the economy it sustains with kiosk museum factoids. This is New England so the Dunkin was bumping. I loved the easy access to car rentals. You follow a really lovely sky walk. You don't have to take a train or anything! It is an international airport - not sure what destinations they have but was very happy with the experience.
google avatar

HoyMay P.

Yelp
Very calm in this international airport. Checking in there were no lines. Going through TSA was a breeze. Just a few customers at each of the open gates. Very clean restrooms with state of the art sinks with water and hand drier on the faucet. A few newsstands, shops snd restaurants.
google avatar

Jen W.

Yelp
T.F.Green airport continues to develop. Drop off at the curb was congested, but there really isnt too much you can do about that. There was a sky cab by the entrance assisting a family with their luggage. Once inside there were kiosks to check-in. We had checked-in on the airline app but did need to check a bag. The signs overhead clearly marked where to queue up for this service. The bag was quickly tagged by a pleasant woman and we were on our way to security screening. TSA pre-check is seperated from general security screening. Show your boarding pass to the staff member at the beginning of the line to get into the pre-check queue. The line moved quickly to where you show your Real ID or passport before getting to the bag screening. In the Pre-check line shoes stay on and electronics stay in bag. We walked through a metal detector while our bags went through the scanner. Personnel here were all friendly in a professional manner. We were through quickly and on our way to the gate. Dunkin' wasn't open this early in the morning sadly, but there are a variety of businesses in the concourse open during a more acceptable hour of the day. There is plenty of seating at the gate and each four-set of seats has two plug outlets integrated into the base to charge your devices. The restrooms are new. Seats have a plastic covering for sanitary purposes. Stall doors close completely - no gaps around the doors! Sinks are hand free water and air dryer all at the sink. They also have paper towels if you prefer. A diaper station is in the family restroom. The airline staff kept us informed of when boarding would begin and other needed information. The PA system volume was high enough to hear clearly without being overwhelming. We were boarded and departed on time. Very good experience at T.F. Green. Good beginning to our trip.

Yelp
Easy in and out - love small airports. It is a bit of a hike to rental cars which are located a few blocks away via elevated walkway. It's all lined up left and right out of security which has Clear & TSA precheck. Our Breeze flight was early - 7am and the only food & coffee option was Dunkin. As a fan of bold dark roasts, I was stuck with an Americano or espresso. Third world problem :) The bathrooms were clean and freshly remodeled. Great entry to RI and southern MA
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
Last year, TF Green was named one of the best airports in the world. I can see why...it's an easy airport to get in/out. TSA does not take long at all and they have been revamping the shops and restaurants. The restrooms are also very clean and modern, making the entire experience much better. The Arrivals and Departures screens are plentiful and very easy to read and see. Also, traffic into or out of the airport is very light on average. It's served by public transportation like buses, trains, ride share and taxis. Easy !!!

Sage G.

Yelp
Shoutout to Annette at the Delta Counter. I was having a terrible morning because of our rental car company being non-understanding and mean, and she brightened my spirits like nobody's business. She was the highlight of the experience so I wanted to thank her a ton

Yelp
Best little airport around. Easy to navigate. Plenty of destination choices, including international. What you may pay extra in flight prices is more than made up for in what you pay for parking and for the convenience of this location. Plenty of concessions, a travel club, and a military lounge. Little airport with a lot to offer, just like our wee little state. 'Small and Salty' wins the prize again!

Yelp
Flew in and out of this airport over the weekend. It is very nice, much smaller than your typical large airport, and easily accessible for drop offs and pick ups. The people here are so very friendly and quite helpful. They even have an information desk in case you need ideas of tourist attractions, good places to eat, a good hotel to stay in, etc. Their TSA personnel are very friendly and funny as well. Not stuffy and serious like in other airports. I hope to come back for a longer vacation to Rhode Island so I can really enjoy the people and places. A day and a half was just not long enough for me but it is what it is!
google avatar

Pauline C.

Yelp
First time flying out of this little airport, we came early due to day after Christmas but did not encounter much line through security check. TSA personnel were very friendly and professional, although my partner and I both had one personal item checked, the TSA that helped us was by far the best I had ever experienced checking my bag! She was careful and respectful with our bags as well as the contents within, and the whole process was quick and painless. You'll also find very modern, spacious, and clean bathroom here!

Yelp
Flew in on a Jet Blue flight on Friday afternoon. The airport is 6 miles south of Providence. There is one terminal with the north concourse having 14 gates and the south concourse with 8. There are stores, restaurants, and a central food court. Two gates are for international flights connected to customs. The airport was clean & easy! It took :15 to disembark, use the restrooms, get our luggage & get into an Uber. It is $28 from the airport to downtown. I was impressed with the immaculate, modern & fully automatic restrooms. This is 100 year old airport and the first state owned airport in the country. The main terminal was rebuilt 27 yrs ago. There are 2 runways. The airport is right off I-95, there were lots of car rentals, a train station, and bus transportation to downtown Providence and Newport.

Yelp
Cannot believe how poorly the service is here 1 parking MOST EXPENSIVE long term parking I've encountered 2days 10 hrs $54 LONG TERM that wasn't bad enough, but upon return Sunday (maybe slow?) only four shelters were serviced Therefore I called after whistling and screaming at a driver LOOKING AT ME that blew me off so I called the number FIVE TIMES and watching a shuttle sit for 9 minutes he did finally pick me up It was the same jovial and wonderful driver that dropped me AT my brothers car (I was borrowing as total coincidence ensuing) tipped him on way to car Was annoyed now WBA's he explained to me how "I needed to look at signs and go to blue shelter only) Oh you don't come here a lot We do this all the time" So bc I wasn't a regular I was hosed Another gent got on and he proclaimed " you see he must know" Gent said "hell no I been in walking forever and ran to catch you!" And he concurred MOSY EXPENSIVE he's ever seen anywhere Okay Go to the bar on football Sunday NO LIVE GAMES "We just switched to Roku" "We got nuthin' must be cheaper" Btw unless you get a bar stool they won't serve you food unless you have a seat I have always dealt with PVD as it has destination's closer to what I use and have always had an issue with Gate 21 Farthest in Farthest out If your Bwi That's what ya get with NO moving sidewalks 2-3 city blocks Eh I need the exercise, but should be my choice

Yelp
Okay, I really do love flying out of Green compared to dealing with the busyness of Boston. TSA pre-check hardly ever has more than two people in line and checking a bag is always fast. I'm super excited about the addition of Breeze airways here since they fly where I need to go. But, what's going on with the food?! I feel like they haven't even close to recovered since the pandemic. The airport is generally pretty busy once you get through security, but the food options are scarce. They used to have the Starbucks, pizza place, and other fast casual options, but now all they have in that central area is that Burger Bar. I end up eating there almost every time since I generally don't leave enough time for a sit down option. While I say the airport is busy, it seems like only the terminals to the left are busy and then the terminals to the right are a bit of a ghost town. Overall this is the easiest airport ever, they just really need to add some additional food options.

Yelp
Close to home, so convenient. Check bags and once through security. ( daughter was wand down) it was breeze. Southwest was on time no delays. It was smooth day..

Yelp
Rhode Island T F Green airport should be renamed to W T F Airport? Sure, it's easy to get to, the TSA line was short, and finding an Uber was a breeze, but there's very little open in this place! I arrived around 6:45a or so and when walking towards my gate (to the left on the 9-22 side of the airport), there was only 1 place open, a Dunkin' Donuts. I'm not sure of the reason, but if there was a delay or something and I was stuck here, I'd have no choice but to stuff myself with coffee and donuts, which I wouldn't hate, but still... it's a pretty bad option. It did look like there was a sit down restaurant preparing to open, so maybe later in the day, it gets better. I've seen closed storefronts before, but the ones here were overwhelming. Did Rhode Island secede from the Union? Someone needs to lower the rent or something as it's kind of scary how deserted this place is. And don't get me started on the Dyson dryers built into the faucet. I walked out looking like I p!$$ed all over myself. At least that's what I'm telling everyone. But serial???? These dryers blow! Luckily, my flight was on time, the flight wasn't full, and I left the pale, grey skies of Providence behind. I hope it improves as I'm sure I'll be back someday, kind of like Night Court (Harry Anderson was from RI).
google avatar

Yelp
These are literally the nicest airport bathrooms I have ever been in. Beautiful white countertops and stainless steel fixtures make the space modern yet inviting. Not to mention the vases of flowers at each mirror! The toilets had self changing plastic so you could sit comfortably on the seat knowing it was clean. The airport itself is small and easy to navigate. There is only one terminal with an uncrowded drop off area. As the security line grew, TSA was quick to open another screening lane. I will definitely be flying out of Providence instead of Boston Logan any chance I get!
google avatar

Matt R.

Yelp
Really easy airport and so seamless to get through. No endless corridors, no long lines, no chaos, just nice! Only downside is a lack of flights to some places, or only 1 flight a day to other places. We were able to grab a flight on Breeze to LAX, which stopped in VA. This was a really nice alternative compared to having to go to Boston. I wish there were more routes out west, and I also don't understand why there aren't any routes to Europe. The bathrooms are nice after the remodel, but a little unnecessarily high tech. I honestly don't love the fact that the air dryers are right in the sink, so they spray water all over. They are always super clean though, at least. One other downside of TF Green is the lack of food options. There are a couple pub style places but not a lot for food otherwise. Somehow, there manages to be like 3 Dunkin locations, though.
google avatar

Lynn R.

Yelp
I usually skip a review of an airport, but this one was worthy of writing about as far as easy to find, checking in a rental car, TSA precheck and everything else I needed was accessible. The bathrooms were so clean and spacious something I usually don't see at an airport. The sinks had touch-free options for water, soap, and drying which I loved! There was beautiful marble everywhere and it reminded me of being in an upscale rest room at a fancy hotel. The airport is laid out well and clearly marked. I wish most airports were like this it would be an enjoyable experience.

Yelp
I frequent Providence TF Green International Airport daily, primarily utilizing Winslow Park at the end of runway 23 for plane watching. The park offers a fantastic view of air traffic departures and arrivals. What makes this spot truly special is the vibrant community of fellow aviation enthusiasts, providing a shared experience. The local Warwick Police Department's supportive attitude towards our hobby adds to the overall positive atmosphere. An excellent destination for aviation enthusiasts looking to enjoy the spectacle of air traffic. If you get a basic aviation/police/fire scanner you can tune into their air traffic control tower and listen to them communicate. It's a fun way to enhance your experience and is all legal to do. The tower frequency is 120.700.

Yelp
Providence is my favorite airport to fly into when I'm in the Boston area. It's easy to navigate, clean, and you're able to zip in and out. If you're renting a car, the rental terminal is walking distance. No shuttle or bus. Easy peasy! Not only is it easy and clean, the bathrooms are gorgeous! Marble and fresh flowers! Umm! Hello! What a nice surprise! There isn't a centurion or delta club if you're delayed, but there are furry friends that frequent the terminal for pets. Best surprise ever!
google avatar

Joe C.

Yelp
Sucks but Easy Terrible restaurant options, highly overpriced, and terrible service. The hours of service are awful too. However, small airport that you walk right through to get to your terminal. Never a wait. If you're there an hour before your flight, you'll be fine. Thanks
google avatar

Sam J.

Yelp
Easy and simple in and out of this airport. From getting off the plane, getting to baggage claim area, and parking. I like it because it's small not too loud so you can hear gate announcements. Easy to navigate in and out of. The restrooms are really nice and new. That's really a plus. Not too many options for eating but then again it's a small airport.
google avatar

Greg T.

Yelp
Understandably small-ish international airport. Easy to get in and out of, there was no one on the PreCheck lane and check in was a breeze. Some limited dining and shopping options. Main issue is the cramped and dated seating with no work stations available.
google avatar

Lew H.

Yelp
I love this airport! It is modern, clean and small enough to navigate around very easily! The interior is slightly industrial with decorative concrete blocks and exposed HVAC systems that look very cool and powerful. One of my favorite spots was the mens room (no nasty comments please). Each sink has a hi tech gizmo that dispenses soap, flows water and then dries your hands with your own personal hand blower!!! You never have to search for a paper towel, or wait for anyone to be done with the dispenser, or even leave the one sink where you were washing your hands. And all 3 elements at every sink seemed to work. I have never seen that before in any airport or other public place I have been in! It was exciting! As a topper, the bathroom was very clean and did not smell bad. I know this sounds impossible but it's true. I know I will probably never need the Rhode Island TF Green International Airport unless I return to Newport but it's nice to know that it's there when I need it!!!
google avatar

Li Y.

Yelp
Cutest little airport servicing the greater Rhode Island area. How easy was it to arrive and depart to/from Providence! And yes, smaller means less options. I will take less options for ease of travel and clarity of movement anyday! Arriving it was clear which way to get to the baggage claim was. One walkway ramp veering to the side takes you by the guard watching the sterile exit. Four baggage claims to choose from or...look at the board waiting to greet you to tell you exactly where to go. And, there is even a Dunkin Donuts Express to welcome you at the baggage claim! No time to drink coffee though as bags rolled out within 5 minutes of arriving to area. Well done Warwick!
google avatar

Kristen S.

Yelp
We love TF Green because its smallc close by, easy to park, and Ive never waited in a line longer than 15 minutes for security. However, it was filthy when I flew out this past Sunday. It looked like the rugs hadn't been vacuumed in months, there were bunches of chairs pushed together with tape lazily strewn across them to indicate a ceiling leak and the only choice to grab something was Dunkin Donuts.
google avatar

Kathleen R.

Yelp
Highly recommend this airport if you like cute small easy airports. This was very easy to get around and not crazy like other airports BUT...the highlight was the incredible modern bathrooms! Best airport bathrooms we have ever been to. They have toilets with automatic seat covers! :) and beautiful clean bathrooms with all amenities.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Ok airport. Nothing fancy. Easy in easy out. ,..............................................
google avatar

Joyce G.

Yelp
They are clean and good location to reach nearby larger cities and include budget carriers. The disabled assistance personnel are stellar. Professional. Polite.
google avatar

Jamie S.

Yelp
After a terrible delay for my flight I walked over for some lunch and had wonderful time at this location. The service was quick and welcoming. It was great to sit at the bar and watch the cooks in the kitchen. They made great company and chit chat. My turkey club was so tasty! If I am back at this airport I will definitely swing by again for any meal.

Christopher B.

Yelp
I have flown a lot over the last 30+ years and come through PVD often. The TSA here are by far the worst of any airport. Most of them are on some kind of power trip and are generally angry that they're stuck in a role of glorified mall cop.
google avatar

Audry P.

Yelp
Although a smaller airport the TSA scene is slow, and painful. Food options are severely limited. Only two "restaurants" are available for fresh food options and brace yourself for $17.00 chicken wraps and $16 burgers. Over half the food places are permanently closed...so basically this place is running at 1/4 of its original operating capacity. For an airport it is fairly clean, easy to navigate, and is easy if you're transfering from one gate to another. Customer service at Whalers is excellent, but there's no kitchen to support the bar patrons. All-in-all this place would be an AWESOME little airport if it would fill out its stores and run at full or near full capacity.

Yelp
PVD: Rhode Island T F Green International Airport is one of the more "obscure" American airports I've been to. Our family traveled through this airport for our trip to Connecticut and Rhode Island. The airport code is PVD for Providence, but like other airports, Green is located outside the main city; in this case, in the city of Warwick. It's south of Providence and close to Narragansett Bay. I liked this airport. It was clean and quiet. Relatively "cozy" and "homey" too (words one typically wouldn't use to describe an airport). I felt that way because of the airport's small size, comfy seats, and carpet everywhere. It was quaint. Outside security, the airport is multi-level and has more of a modern look. Inside security (airside), the airport is more dated. The airport was very easy to get in and out of. Green has only one terminal with 22 gates. The terminal is divided into the smaller South Concourse (Gates 1-8) and larger North Concourse (Gates 9-22). With an airport of this size, there's not much to speak of in terms of shops and restaurants. It's a standard collection. There are stores where you can pick up local souvenirs. Brooks Brothers has a store next to Gate 15, Wolfgang Puck has a restaurant across from Gate 7, and there are three Dunkin' locations: Gate 6, Gate 16 (big location), and Gate 19 (Express location). The airport has several on-site parking options, both garages and uncovered surface lots. You can walk to the airport from all of them except for Lot E (the big, cheap lot). There's a 24-hour shuttle service for people who park in Lot E. TSA PreCheck was lightning fast. "T F Green" refers to Theodore Francis Green, the 57th Governor of Rhode Island (1933-1937) and Senator (1937-1961). The airport opened in 1931 and was named after Green in 1938. This is the official airport of the New England Patriots through at least 2025. The Pats' red-white-and-blue team plane is based here.
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
Easy to get to, park and navigate! Lot of options for food etc for being a smaller airport too
google avatar

Pash Lee L.

Yelp
I fly often and this was the first time I'd ever been to this airport. I was pleasantly surprised, it's a very cute little airport and seemed clean enough. They have decent food selections. This airport reminds me a little bit like BDL airport in Windsor Locks, CT if I had to compare it to something.
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
A very nice airport with easy access and ample parking. If you want to avoid large crowds at the bigger airports, then this airport is for you. The facilities are very good- everything looks clean and new. Security portal is well-organized and people move quickly through the line. My only issue is that they have almost no concessions/food for travelers. The only store is a Dunkin on-the-go kiosk. This is not a full service DD- they only have coffee, donuts, muffins (limited assortment). No sandwiches. The only other good/drink I could find was a few vending machines. Maybe they have food near the gates but I did not see that.
google avatar

Dignesh P.

Yelp
This is an absolutely amazing airport. The design, quality, and attention to detail is stunning. Forget Logan - this airport is the best kept secret of the NorthEast! The rest rooms were like those of a five star resort. Incredible!
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
Went here in October 2021. This is a pretty bare bones airport so don't plan any long layovers here. Most of the shops and restaurants seem like they're not coming back and there are no lounges that I'm aware of. Airport is fairly small, clean and easy to navigate. I appreciate that the walkway to the rental car center is enclosed to shield you from the weather.
google avatar

Sandra R.

Yelp
The airport is not the problem it's TSA employees. Many have power trip and authority issues. They basically humiliate people. They violate citizens civil rights every minute by doing illegal searches and seizures, that is a violation of our constitutional 4th amendment right. Time to stop this. We are no safer now then before 9-11, in fact it's worse. TSA doesn't stop terrorists, they don't stop bombs, they don't stop criminals, they do steal a person dignity, and probably valuables too. TSA needs to be defunded.
google avatar

Mike P.

Yelp
The easiest airport to navigate in the United States. The layout makes is very user friendly. The people who work here are probably the nicest airport employees I've ever encountered. I'm not a fan of flying but, Providence airport puts me at ease every time.
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
New favorite airport! Just wow. So clean, so easy to navigate. I was most impressed by the ladies restroom. I've never seen a nicer airport bathroom anywhere. Not only was it floor to ceiling marble, that looked sort of like a museum entrance, but at each wash basin and mirror, were fresh flowers. Insert mind blown emoji. They offered the three in one sinks, which for the uninitiated, required a little learning curve. In the stalls, which not only had ample room for suitcase, but doors/sides went to the floor, and had the automatic toilet seat covers and flushers. This bathroom is my new benchmark.

Yelp
Very easy airport everyone was very kind there and back ! I got separated from family and thanks to a nice man who helped me find my way to find them and my waiting car !!! I will be back to fly again thanks

Yelp
PVD Airport Manager, please help with these things!!! So, I checked in, with TSA Pre-Check with no issues. Walked right past my gate because there was no numbers up above, pointing, as you get to the bottom of the ramp from Security. Gate 9 /9A had a charging station but none if the plug ins work! Had to pull out my outlet plug to charge my phone..... Tried to connect to the Free Wifi multiple times with no luck as well. No very helpful for travelers. Hopefully the Airport Manager will look into this. Understand manning for the location is low but most of the airport stores were closed and It is bad enough hardly any restaurants are open, at 5pm....... Just saying.... Hopefully, my next stop will be better in Newark.....

Yelp
I have a different experience with this airport because I have flown commercially in and out of here but back in the 80's when I was a student pilot I made my first "big" airport landing here with big commercial planes coming and going. It makes me smile thinking about it now because it was pretty intimidating that day but Boston and NY were much bigger deals later on but I digress LOL PVD Providence or T. F. Green International Airport is actually in Warwick, RI opened in 1931, the airport was named for former RI governor and longtime senator Theodore Francis Green. Rebuilt in 1996 the renovated main terminal was named for former RI governor Bruce Sundlun. It was the first state-owned airport in the United States. The airport didn't change much until a new terminal was built on Post Road in 1964, replacing the old 1933 terminal along Airport Road. In 1996 that terminal was replaced, expanding to 18 gates, and adding a lower arrival level and an upper departure level. In 1997 four gates were added. In October 2017, T. F. Green's runway 5/23 was officially opened for use at its new expanded length of 8,700 feet. So that's the big history let's talk about the everyday stuff :-) The commercial airlines out of here ar United Airlines, Sun Country, Southern Airways Express, Southwest Airlines, JetBlue, Frontier Airlines, Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, Allegiant Airlines and Air Canada. They have a creative parking situation but the pickup/drop-off scenario is pretty standard with well-marked signage so that's good. However, they could add a nice holding lot with a real-time arrival & departure board. Just sayin' because places like Nashville have it so c'mon Warwick or rather Providence, step it up you guys! :-) Just a personal peeve there LOL On the big upside, PVD is the Official Airport of the New England Patriots. offering easy access to Patriots home games via highway with the stadium less than 45 minutes away! They also have great options for Patriots nation to support the team on the road. Bravo!! #GoPats Okay for food there's Dunkin, Donat's Place, Libations Restaurant & Lounge, Iron Works Tavern, Wolfgang Puck Express, and Wendy's, that's all good :-) Here's a question that a lot of people ask, how are the check-ins? Everybody that I know who flown this airport has agreed with me that the TSA is quick, friendly, and helpful, and that's a pretty big deal for me. News Flash: May 2021 The state House of Representatives Tuesday voted 63 to 9 to make Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport the new name of the airfield originally known as Hillsgrove. The Senate had already passed its version of the legislation. So that's happening. For all the current info on T.F. Green just visit their website: https://www.pvdairport.com/ Bottom line: Much like the review I recently did of the Pensacola airport, this is also a smaller airport, clean and efficient plus it's great for avoiding huge crowds when traveling.

Yelp
Took a trip to Florida this Veterans Day weekend. I left on a Friday morning. The airport was the busiest I've ever seen, but we moved through the line pretty quickly. When I got to the person who checks boarding passes, I realized, OMG, I don't have my license! I just assumed it was in my pocket book where it always is, but it was not. The guy was very friendly about it and got a supervisor who was also very friendly. Luckily I had multiple faculty cards from my work that had my picture and name. He used those and other cards that had my name, health insurance, debit, credit, to verify my identity. I had to go through a little extra security. They looked through my bag, but I was so relieved when I got through! I fly back home today from Orlando and hope they are half as kind and helpful as the folks at TF Green. I am hoping the airport was so busy because of the holiday weekend. There have been a lot of ads lately for TF Green saying "Don't deal with the BS of BOS." I only hope it doesn't become a BOS. What I love about it is how small it is and how smooth it always goes. If everyone goes there instead of BOS, we're just gonna have another busy and overcrowded airport. Keep it real TF Green. We love you the way you are.

Yelp
Used to be such a wonderful airport. PLENTY of food options and shopping for early and late flights. NOW IT IS A BARREN WASTELAND. NO RESTAURANTS OPEN ON A THURSDAY TIL 11am Gates are full, people are traveling - time to catch up T.F. GREENE - can no longer blame it on the pandemic. Your management sucks and ack of food, drink, and shopping options for ALL PASSENGERS ON ALL FLIGHTS IS DEPLORABLE.
