My experience here was exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Niseko, from first-time beginners to seasoned experts. The quality and selection of the gear are fantastic, ensuring everyone finds the perfect set-up for the mountain conditions. Beyond the equipment, what truly sets Rhythm apart is their depth of knowledge. If you're struggling for ideas on winter activities, the staff are an incredible resource who can answer any question you have, catering to all skill levels from novice to expert. The service itself is top-notch. I found all the staff to be really friendly, creating a welcoming and helpful atmosphere. A special shout-out must go to Polly; she was particularly nice and friendly, making everything smooth and enjoyable—her excellent customer service is a true asset to the team. For practical matters, the facility is well-equipped. It was great to see more parking space available, which is a huge convenience in a busy ski town. The availability of Wifi and the acceptance of credit cards also make the entire transaction process hassle-free. A quick tip for future renters: it is highly recommended to book early as the prices are much more cheaper. Keep an eye out for seasonal deals, as I noticed some items were on discount, offering even better value. Overall, a fantastic and professional operation!

My friends and I went here to rent skis, boots, and helmets. My friends made their booking reservation in advance (which I’d recommend since its cheaper), while I just did a walk in. The staff were all super friendly and helpful in providing us with our rental gear. The whole process to rent out ski gears were also well organized and straight forward. Equipments were also in good condition, maintained and we had no issues. Overall would recommend! I would go back here again to rent ski gears next time.

We had an amazing 3 day snowboarding experience with Rhythm Rides, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we started, everything was well organised, professional, and beginner-friendly. A huge highlight of the experience was our instructor Luciano. As two complete beginners, we couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. Luciano was incredibly patient, encouraging, and clear in his explanations, making learning feel natural and fun rather than intimidating. He broke techniques down into simple, easy-to-understand steps and adjusted the lessons perfectly to our pace and confidence levels. Over the three days, we were genuinely surprised by how much progress we made, thanks to Luciano’s expertise and positive energy. He created a relaxed and supportive environment that kept us motivated while still pushing us just enough to improve each day. We can’t recommend Rhythm Rides and Luciano highly enough for anyone new to snowboarding or looking for a high-quality lesson experience. This was an unforgettable introduction to snowboarding, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

We had the best experience here today! It was such a smooth and easy process. We first started with Zac who fitted us for our ski boots- we got the best fit on the 1st try on. He is super cool and great at what he does! Then we had Amanda who helped us with our skis and poles who was very nice and attentive. We checked out with Sophie who had the best energy and vibes and was able to hook us up with a shuttle to our Air b &b. Danny continued the theme and dropped us off at our front door. 10/10 would recommend for your ski rental needs and great customer service !

Excellent service and friendly staff at Rhythm in Hirafu. Good location with the shuttle bus to my accomodation stopping right outside the door. I emailed them during my stay with questions and received a prompt reply and found the returns process so easy. Good range of hire skis available include professional powder models. I had an issue post rental and Rhythm rectified it immediately and politely I had a favourable outcome. I won’t hesitate to hire from Rhythm in Japan again.

Amazing place to rent skis. They let you do gear swaps which was so nice for someone who snowboards and skis. I also woke up late and returned the skis an hour late and they forgave me. I really appreciated it because I was sick in the morning. An amazing place to rent, great quality gear and super understanding. Whatever the price is, is worth it.

One of the best forms of customer service I've experienced. Each one of the staff including the manager I spoke to, were extremely friendly, compassionate and understanding. I had a technical issue with my rental gear and they refunded me for the day with no further questions. They did everything with a smile and with style. Highly recommend and definitely coming back!

Renting skis was super easy. Everyone super friendly and helpful. We were picked up and dropped off from our hotel when we needed to rent the skis and then we were able to leave them at our hotel at the end of our trip. Also - they had a great selection of gear and Niseko souvenir shirts/sweatshirts.
