"Dance In The Rain at Rhythms at Rainbow Beach I’m not sure exactly how Rainbow Beach got its name, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it actually had a lot to do with rain. The island’s most popular beach bar, especially on Sundays, is centrally located on St. Croix’s West Coast, some of the island’s tallest peaks and dense rainforest just a few miles behind it. Prevailing weather patterns, particularly during the summer months, make brief afternoon showers a fairly regular occurrence here. That doesn’t stop the party, though. Live bands play on and everyone keeps dancing. When you’re already wet from the sea and feeling the vibes, a little rain doesn’t hurt one bit."

Fantastic spot for a beachside dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh flavors that exceeded expectations. Service was incredibly fast and attentive, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable meal. The highlight, though, is the breathtaking view of the beach and sunset—truly unforgettable. Highly recommend for a perfect evening out!

Amazing spot by the ocean! The relaxing atmosphere and stunning views make it the perfect place to unwind. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish full of flavor. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, making the experience even better!

Great atmosphere! Our son loved the burger and the lobster tacos. My husband said it’s his favorite place on the island. We had a really nice time!

Google
We stopped by on the way to the pier and it was absolutely worth the stop! We had a group of 5 and were seated immediately with an oceanfront table. Drinks and food options matched the Oceanside vibes and were well priced compared to others on the island. They are attached to a shop that has jet skis for rent and we would have done it with more time! Great spot to stop or plan to spend lots of time at, has beach access for snorkeling and swimming right on site!

Google
Went there two nights in a row for dinner. The pork loin sandwich is HUGE! Our daughter had the shrimp taco and son had coconut shrimp both nights, they were both clearly impressed with them. Everything we had was great!

Allen Swindell

Google
We only had the Blackened Mahi Bites and drinks but according to the ladies, the Passion Fruit Margarita was spot on and the bites were good. The location is nothing short of amazing!!!! Obviously we won’t be back this trip since we are in a cruise but will definitely come back to ride jet skis next

Google
Lobster tacos was fantastic! I've been here on both my trips a year apart and nailed both times.. we will see you again.

Google
Great place to stop after a day at the beach or a day of excursion. My family and I came here after our Jetski excursion. It was absolutely perfect as we were super hot and needed some frozen beverages. Which they have in abundance. The food was good as well, but the service is what stood out here! Excellent staff that clearly love what they do! Thanks for a great lunch

Yelp
This is a true beach bar experience. Bar and tables for dining plus a special place at the bar for people enjoying the beach to grab a cocktail. The musician who was playing was really excellent, wish I knew his name. This sits right on the beach so the views were amazing. I had the local tuna burger which was tasty. The hand cut fries were out of this world. My hubby had nachos with jerk pork.

Yelp
We found Rhythms towards the end of our vacation and wished we had found it sooner! Incredible views with incredible food and service right on the beach. We came here for dinner two nights and had the tacos both times (mahi mahi and shrimp). We also had a margarita and pina colada and both were amazing. The food is to die for, so good! Highly recommend coming here to eat while visiting St Croix!
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely a busy beach bar vibe!! Gets crazy when the cruise ships come in!! Good beach bar food!!

Yelp
We ate here a few times since it was 5 min from our rental. Bartenders are friendly and my friend ordered a spicy margarita with a habenero distilled tequila. She said it was amazing. We had wild caught tuna and snapper first time and both were tasty. We also came back and ate their wahoo ceviche. Excellent! We even went back again to see if they had it and they did we had a snack there. From what I heard this is the THE PLACE during in season where you can't find a place to sit. Since we were there this past week (off season) it was nice & chill vibe.

Yelp
Rhythms really impressed me with the quality of fish they used in the sandwich. It was raining pretty bad when I went and I had to take a refuge at this restaurant but it turned out to be a pleasant late surprise lunch for me. They were very friendly and patient with me moving tables as it was rainy all over. After some time they closed the front shutter but still it was a heavy rain and a lot of tables got wet. The coleslaw was nice and creamy. The restaurant offered great ocean front views and ultimate beach dining experience. There is a sports gear rental next door which I ended up checking out while I waited for the food.

Yelp
A cool spot by the beach with live music & attentive servers. Food was good but fries were a bit overdone. Tasted good tho'
google avatar

Eddie C.

Yelp
Great vibe and cool music with amazing ocean views. Awesome place to lounge on the beach and then stroll up to Rhythms and have drinks and food. Large bar area with plenty of high table seats to casually dine in. Plenty of TVs tuned into sports with island music playing the background. Staff is friendly, courteous and attentive. Fish tacos are a must have and beers are always cold and refreshing. Enough can't be said about this chill spot by the beach. If you walk up to the bar, say hello to Ben coolest guy you'll ever meet!

Yelp
Oh my god. I love this place. To start with the restaurant and bar are on Rainbow beach. The clearest water I ever seen.and I've traveled all over the Caribbean. This is as good as it gets. Set that aside. The food and service are amazing. My wife and I had the grouper sandwich. She had grilled and I had blackened. The sauces were great too. The fish was so moist and juicy. My son and his wife had the fish tacos, he said they were amazing. The service was great. I very seldom give 5 stars. This is now one of my favorites. If you don't like this place you have a problem. Oh I didn't mention the drinks. The rum drinks are amazing. How you get a chance to try this place. Wow

Yelp
Amazing Fresh food!!! Service was excellent, as well as the vibe!!! Best place on the island!! MUST try if there for cruise stop or vacation either way its a must.

Jameson A.

Yelp
Good vibes, fresh food and the jerk wings are to die for!! Seriously though, I could eat them everyday. They're doing something right here! Thanks !
google avatar

Rob L.

Yelp
Great spot with quality food and an epic view of the Caribbean from every table! The homemade hot buffalo sauce has a Caribbean twist and the spice is very nice!

Yelp
What a perfect spot for lunch, we were able to sit in the shade and everything we ordered was delicious! Server was so attentive and got our hangry teen's burger to the table in record time. The view couldn't have been better, and even the bathrooms were clean and nice.

Yelp
For sure a go to for local and visitors! Loved the fish bites and soft pretzel. Great views from the patio

Yelp
This beach was very nice. We brought our own chairs but rented an umbrella. It is family friendly and free. We were told this is the beach to see on St. Croix and it did not disappoint. The drinks from the restaurant were great and it was not very crowded. Also, there was plenty of parking when we visited. There were people riding jet skis, others snorkeling and others renting kayaks, so there are plenty of activities offered. We opted to just relax and read and people watch.
google avatar

Richard S.

Yelp
Reasonably priced (for St. Croix) and well prepared bar food and more. We visited when no cruise ships were making a stop. Rainbow Beach is also a fun area, more youthful and active than the more peaceful beaches in the Frederiksted area. Service was quick and friendly.
google avatar

Joshua C.

Yelp
Service was good, waiter was friendly. The drinks were ok, but the food was really good + the view is spectacular.
google avatar

Tippi E.

Yelp
The food was super delicious. The crab cake on the sandwich was more crab than cake and that is always a good thing. Fresh coconut water will always be a winner. Everyone there was happy and friendly. The restaurant is right on the beach! Beautiful views. Tons of ambiance. And a walk on the beach after lunch. Definitely recommend if you are near. Make sure to spend time at the beach. They even have jet skis!
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Food and drinks were pretty great here and the location you can't beat. It's right on the beach and there are great views. I had the Mahi sandwich with onion rings and it as really good. My wife had the lobster tacos and she said they were just ok. Service was pretty lame until I killed her with kindness and then she came around and smiled a few times. I would return.
google avatar

Alexander D.

Yelp
The food here is good we got the pretzel bites they werent the greatest and before this I got the chicken tenders and they were pretty food on the other hand. The service was good staff are nice it's just the menu needs to be worked on a bit there a not many options that most people might like.

Yelp
Get here as fast as you can. This place is awesome. Friendly service good food with an amazing beach and an amazing view.

Yelp
Coconut Shrimp! An amazing frozen drink A dip at Rainbow Beach And the most amazing sunset!
google avatar

Yelp
If you want fantastic service and piping hot food, this could be your spot. The sweet potato fries were crispy and hot. I ordered a Wahoo fish taco, which arrived with large chunks of fish in a tasty sauce. They have an awesome location on rainbow beach with a new large deck, likely the result of two Cat 5 hurricanes in 2017. Fabulous view are complimented by a chill beach vibe. Next to the restaurant they rent chairs, umbrellas and watercraft of all types. We always take a day to chill at Rainbow Beach, and lunch at Rhythms. It's a must visit spot, that should be part of any St. Croix trip.

Yelp
The tacos are slamming!!!! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The views of Rainbow beach added to our wonderful experience!! We took our friends the next night!!!

Yelp
Beautiful place for good food, drinks, and sunsets! Have a cocktail and take a dip in the water. Perfect location. Grouper ceviche was delightful.

Yelp
This is a very chill restaurant/bar that is colocated on Rainbow Beach. They offer a wide array of tropical drinks that you can get in a cup or a bucket. There is tons of seating here including bar seating, outdoor patio seating, indoor patio seating and dining area seating off of the bar. The outdoor patio tables have umbrellas to block the sun. The dining area has TVs playing sports and they have music playing in the background. Both patios have an amazing view of the beach. The bar is a full service bar, with beer, wine, cocktails and tropical favorites. The menu is full of pub favorites like tenderloin, pulled pork, grilled chicken, shrimp and hot dogs. Their specialty however seems to be tacos. Their tacos are soft and tapia sized. They offer daily food specials on their board, so be sure to check those out. The restaurant does not have private parking. you just have to find a spot on the street. They do however, have a private restroom inside. I got there before noon, so I was seated right away. But the place got packed while I was there. My server was very friendly and helpful, she was awesome. Very attentive. I ordered the Blackened Mahi Bites and jerk pork taco, with a side of fries (one of the specials for the day). It did not take long for me to get my food. It was about 10 to 15 minutes. The Mahi Bites were pretty good. They were fresh and juicy, with a lot of flavor. The jerk pork tacos were also pretty good. They had a kick to them, but not too much to take away from the taste. They too were juicy and packed with flavor. The fries could have been better. They were overcooked and did not have much flavor. I though that they mistakenly gave me sweet potato fries because they just did not taste right to me. One more thing, they add your tip of 20% to the bill, which I absolutely had no problem with because that is about what I was going to leave for a tip anyway. This is a very chill and laid back spot that overlooks the water and gives you an awesome view. It is conveniently located right on Rainbow Beach and a little ways from the cruise ship pier. It is definitely worth checking out. I enjoyed my time there. The staff was awesome and you really can't beat the atmosphere and view.

Yelp
When we visited the service and food were so good we came back for another visit before we left the island. Nestled on the beach it has a beautiful view and gentle breezes. The fish is fresh and expertly cooked. They have a great drink selection and cold beer. Brandon our server was attentive and helpful. It's a really great place to eat and relax.
google avatar

Larry R.

Yelp
this place is so bad that the service sucks. The food was OK other than plastic being in it and coming up with some stupid excuse of why it was there, but not offering a slightest apology or anything. I think that people go to this beautiful island to eat a great lunch or dinner and then wind up with this kind of poor Service and poor food. I think most of it is frozen crap. there are so many more choices that are way better than this place that are more enjoyable and more bang for your buck.

Yelp
I visited Rhythm's (for food and drinks) several times over past ten years. I pains me to report (literally and figuratively) that after eating a grouper sandwich I suffered abdominal pain and Montezuma's revenge. When I return to St. Croix, I guess I will eat at Turtles twice!
google avatar

Matthew T.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my time here. The staff was friendly. The drinks and food were great. The music was great. Being right on the beach was great as well!
google avatar

Willie R.

Yelp
I came to Rhythms while chilling out at Rainbow Beach. They are very compliant with social distancing guidelines, as is most everywhere on the island. I ordered tacos with fries and was pleased by both the portion and the taste. There was a mountain of fries, so I didn't make it though all of them. The server was friendly and helpful without being overbearing, which is perfect. It was also great to be under the hut area because a random rainstorm came out of nowhere and otherwise I would've been soaked! This is pretty much the place to come at Rainbow Beach, so just get in here before it starts raining!

Yelp
What a great place! We stopped by a few days ago after our trip through the treacherous rain forest. Our hostess Heidi was such a delight and the food was great!! We both had jerk chicken tacos with spicy aioli sauce. They were so good we returned tonight for the same. Also had a blueberry lemonade which hit the spot! Only drawback...flies. Nothing can be done about that.

Catherine R.

Yelp
I guess people come here because the beach is right next door...but it was the most crowded beach we saw all week -- you can do better! We stopped in for lunch and the menu looked good enough...but by the time we got our food an hour later, the vibe had worn off. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all about island time and not rushing...but for a good 1/2 hour, there was no one in the kitchen! And then some of the food came out cold! The waitress even apologized for it taking so long without us commenting... Skip this place IMO -- there are so many better places on the island!

Jai C.

Yelp
Food was okay, very average, the mahi mahi didn't taste fresh and it wasn't warm/hot when I got it. We ordered drinks and appetizers and one entree and it took over an hour. The setting was beautiful though.

James D.

Yelp
Great food and great service. With awesome views and a nice quiet beach. Nice place to spend day on beach with food and drinks.

Christine M.

Yelp
We ate here twice while vacationing in St. Croix. Both times we had excellent service and everyone in our party of 9 enjoyed their food and drinks.
google avatar

Ruin R.

Yelp
Great location and food. Total beach vibe here. Lobster Tacos were so good. Service was great as well.
google avatar

Rose Marie R.

Yelp
Love their Crucian Rum and Fish Bites! Beautiful sunset views! I always go there when I come home.
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
Good food. Great service. Prices are fair. Drinks are cold. Open air beach and patio seating ambiance is great.
google avatar

Diana G.

Yelp
Right on rainbow beach. Prices were reasonable. I had the Wahoo sandwich with sweet potato fries and the caramelized Cauliflower with buffalo sauce. I ordered the wahoo grilled. The flavor was on point and it wasn't dry like most of the fish I had in St. Croix. By far, the best fish I had. The cauliflower was perfect too. The seating is outside with perfect views of the ocean and beach. They have clean bathrooms. They didn't have soap to wash your hands.
google avatar

Carl S.

Yelp
Bit of a hole in the wall but great view of the sunset and drinks were done right. Food was good. Had a burger, pretzel dogs and onion rings. The breading on the rings was Crispy and the onions were cooked.
google avatar

Seth H.

Yelp
Drinks are strong (really strong) and we'll made. I had wahoo tacos which were really flavorful- French fries are really good as well. Can't go wrong with this spot right on the beach

Yelp
You know how you sometimes a place you visit while on vacation is SOOO good it finds its way into every story about your vacation? Well that was Rythyms at Rainbow Beach for us. In fact, our first visit was so good we ate there a second time...something we never do. Our first night staying at the Blue House down the street we decided to stay close and eat here...and we got there about an hour before sunset. We were seated immediately and as we reviewed the menu our waitress (Wisdom was her name and she was amazing) came over to take our drink orders. Going with her recommendation we ordered a Dark and stormy for Wifey and I had a Pain Killer (first one was so good and went down so quickly I had a second). Wifey and I ordered the Mahi tacos she had onion rings and I had cole slaw. My daughter had fried shrimp and fries and my son had the rainbow wings and fries. The tacos were huge with 2 each and not only were they filling they were quite excellent...as were the rings and fries. I thought my daughter was going to need more food when we ordered (an athlete who always seems to be hungry and never gains weight), but she was stuffed when we finished. My son can be a bit of a snob when it comes to wings and he's usually pretty particular about the sauce...but I say and watched this boy suck every drop of sauce from the wings and then use his finger to get the rest off the basket. As I said, we had such a great meal here that we went back closer to the end of our vacation and had Wisdom as our waitress again. This time they had a special of fresh local lobster tacos and bisque. My wife and I both had the tacos with one spicy and one citrus ginger aioli each and fries again. I also had the bisque. My daughter had a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp and my son had the wings again. We also had the drink specials...mango mojitos. Once again Rythyms hit a grand slam with everything we ate (and drank). If I ever get back to St Croix I am 100% sure I'm going back to Rythyms the first night I'm there!
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
Nicely located restaurant with a small adjacent beach. TVs with NFL ticket a plus. Very typical bar menu: wings, burgers, tacos, pulled pork. Burgers good, but pulled pork absolutely repulsive, no meat and drowning in bbq sauce (only ate half). $4 surcharge for sweet potato fries. Just another VI rip-off, high price/poor quality.
google avatar

Brooke G.

Yelp
great place. servers were all over it and we felt service and timing were perfect. food was very good. had the fish sandwiches and two drinks. took a rum cake home to go
google avatar

Kathy W.

Yelp
Great open air location right on the beach, music was awesome- lots of dancing. Had the most fresh tuna we'd had on island
google avatar

Octavia J.

Yelp
This place was great! The drinks were amazing and the food was pretty good! It's right next to the beach so that makes it easy to eat then take a dip! If you're ever in the area make sure you stop bye!
google avatar

Arlene H.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch before hitting the beach. Reasonable prices and good food, but when you are sitting at the beach outside and waiting a long time to get your check, kind of ruins it to be a 5 star. Got the BBQ sandwich which I liked, but some may not. It was swimming in sauce. Hubby got the nachos which was very good and enough for 2 people with meat on top. The pretzels and cheese are delicious!!

Yelp
While in St. Croix we decided to take a cab to Frederiksted to grab some grub. We saw this spot had good reviews and wanted to try it out. Their location is perfect, sitting right on the beach. It was pretty busy at the moment. My company ordered drinks and i decided to get a coconut water, no pulp, gross lol. We ordered mozzarella sticks for appetizers, not bad, not over fried. For my meal i had the jerk pork platter and omgggggg it was absolutely amazing!! I took my time to eat it and savor the flavor with every bite, some of the best jerk pork I've ever had! My lady had shrimp tacos which were very good, shrimp grilled nicely. After the deliciousness of the pork platter I just had to get an adult drink and decided to get a pina colada, which hit the spot, not too strong though. Overall the food here is very very good and the drinks are decent. The service was a bit slow, they were kind of busy though. They also didnt allow a split check, there was only 4 of us, but whatever. The outdoor only seating can be irritating in the sun, but you can also sit in the shade at the bar, if you're in the area I recommend to try this place out.
