How to Spend 3 Days in Marrakesh, Morocco

"A three-story, seven-bedroom riad that feels intimate and thoughtfully designed, with small cozy rooms featuring details like gold sinks, hand-painted tables, and Moroccan light fixtures. The tiled courtyard centers on an eight-pointed star fountain that’s sprinkled with roses by day and candles by night, while a rooftop with sun loungers serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in warm months. Hospitality rituals here include a welcoming pot of Moroccan mint tea and traditional cookies, and the house service can include home-cooked fare such as bubbling beef tagine with poached eggs and vegetable couscous." - Asia London Palomba Asia London Palomba Asia London Palomba is a trilingual Italian writer from Rome, currently based in Boston. This Riad is a little treasure in the midst of a place which is still catching up after an earthquake in 2023. When you are walking to the Riad, you wonder what you are walking towards. The surrounding area is not plush, if plush and nice is what you are after then this is not the holiday area for you. If you are open minded and willing to embrace the local culture, then you are in for a treat. The Riad itself when you enter through the door is really nice. The welcome from the staff is great, with a local tea 🍵 to help you settle in. The room itself, although quite narrow has loads of space to get changed and store your clothes. The shower room was nice with nice towels and a hairdryer and straighteners for those who need. Plenty of hot water. Bottles of water are provided daily for your teeth brushing etc. There is no fridge in the room but plenty of plug sockets for your charging points. Breakfast each morning was slightly different each day, with a good selection of bread, eggs, yoghurt and delicious fresh fruit which really did fill you up to the point where my wife and I did not need any lunch. Really nice rooftop seating area for lounging in the sun should you wish to relax for an hour or so. Breakfast is also served up there. The area itself is really interesting. The people are really nice and don't get pushy when you are wandering through the old city streets. Lots to do and see for about a 4 day trip but not much longer. Loads of nice places to eat at night. Just wander about and find some fantastic roof top restaurants for your evening meal. Dishes were good, tagines fantastic but not large Portions, but good value for the money. Taxi from the airport to the medina is £15 which you will find straight outside the airport. You pay at a booth and get a taxi number and ticket, same price on the way back, no issues. Swap your money in the airport exchange. Good amount of cash machines in and around the streets, we found bank of Africa really good. Don't expect to have alcohol on offer in all the restaurants as it is a predominantly Muslim country. You can find a drink if you need to at some restaurants. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in this Riad with the Staff team who were all fantastic. We would recommend this Riad as a really good base for your stay in Marrakesh.

The staff were very friendly. Thank you to Rashida and rest of the staff! Very good breakfast and service and very kind people who welcomed us. There was some noise of prayers, vehicles and people talking in the road facing rooms in the night though so a bit disturbing . But the behind rooms were very good. Beautiful riad!

Wonderful riad! All the staff were very friendly and helpful! The transfer from the airport went very smoothly. The riad itself is beautiful, and breakfast with fresh juice on the roof terrace is truly delicious. The rooms are cleaned every day, and a bottle of water and two fresh oranges are provided! The only thing worth mentioning is that the bed is a little bit hard and the room is very noisy (poorly soundproofed)—but since it was mostly quiet at night, it didn't bother us that much! The location of the riad is perfect; all the sights are within walking distance! We can definitely recommend this accommodation! ♥️

As a Moroccan living in the US, I cannot recommend this place enough. Amazing value with a great location with everything within a walkable distance. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were the cleanest we’ve stayed in during our two week trip in Maroc. The riad itself was stunning, quaint, charming with amazing decor. Definitely staying here next time I come to Marrakech.

Night staff and location was a negative for us at this Riad. The owner and lady staff are wonderful and the Riad does have beautiful traditional Moroccan charm. The location is nasty though.

This is an outstanding riad in Marrakech. The place itself is absolutely beautiful - the rooms are spacious, clean, and decorated, the courtyard is gorgeous, and the terrace is amazing. Breakfast, served on this terrace, is lovely. You can buy bottled water and food downstairs at all times. It is also very safe, as it is gated. The highlight, however, is the service. Every single person is particularly welcoming, and helpful. Every single interaction was kind and they even let us stay in our room longer, when our circumstances changed. We cannot recommend this highly enough; it is an exceptional value for money. Thank you so much to the whole team.

What a Gem! We had a fantastic stay at the Riad Adriana. The rooms were lovely & spotless. The beds were comfy with good pillows, rooms had air conditioning too. Breakfast was really good, loads of food offered to you. The staff were absolutely fantastic, very helpful and kind. My husband had a serious nose bleed on the morning we were checking out & the owner & staff were brilliant, couldn't do enough for us and we really appreciated all their help, as it was very stressful.|Also owner gave us loads of places to visit. The roof top terrace was fantastic, lovely to sit and have a drink. The meals if you order them are really good & tasty, we ordered on a couple of nights and really enjoyed them. We called it our little haven of peace.
