Riad Assakina - Luxury Riad Marrakech

Loved the quiet boutique hotel in the Marrakech Medina. We stayed a week at the end of August. We stayed in a beautiful suite with a bathroom (2 washbasins plus superb shower) and a seating area overlooking the quiet courtyard. Filtered water provided. Breakfast was wonderful - served every morning on the roof terrace with some lovely choices. Naoual and team looked after us wonderfully as Grant and Michele had to be away - again outstanding English and attention to detail that helped make out stay so good, including making restaurant reservations daily, as well as airport, station and tour transfers for us - always on time, nice vehicles and English spoken. We often had tea or drinks in the afternoon in the cooler, quiet courtyard below out of the August heat. The location is Ideal with great walkability to many restaurants and markets - many lovely areas and sights of Marrakech to explore.

Exceptional support from the owner, Michelle, who helped to organise us after a busy few days before we arrived. A real refuge from the hustle & bustle of the Medina. Great care & attention from the team who did everything to make our stay memorable. Characterful & carefully re-designed riad with space for all guests to enjoy the facilities. Excellent breakfast choice. Hope to be back & highly recommend.

The location is perfect, an easy drop off/pick up for taxis; the staff are 10 out of 10 - very knowledgeable, very keen to help; there’s nothing I would change about our stay. It is difficult to say what we liked most about Riad Assakina – the peace and tranquillity of the interior patio, the breakfast, the views from the roof terrace, the prospect of tea and cake every afternoon on returning from a day’s souk-seeing, the care and attention paid to the interior designs of each bedroom and Riad as a whole. Michele and Grant have created a very special place to stay in Marrakech. Our stay was enhanced by them and the rest of the Assakina team checking in with us each day and providing recommendations and guidance about where to go and what to see. We both wish we were back there now!

Staying with Michelle and the team from Assakina is such a treat and privilege. We have stayed 4 nights and everything about our stay has been luxurious and enjoyable. Michelle is an incredible host and her knowledge of Marrakesh makes everything easy and fun. Her team are so kind and nothing is too much trouble. Michelle booked restaurants, taxis to get us there and back and a gorgeous Hamman. The bedrooms and Riad are beautifully furnished and every little detail has been thought of. We cannot recommend this place more highly and recommend you book direct with Michelle for the best price! Treat yourselves and stay here. We will certainly be back! Thank you team.

Wonderful riad, great staff and service and great location to explore the amazing and interesting city. |Owners Michele and Grant are so helpful and informative for places of interest, restaurants and day trips, all of which they will help with booking. Michele’s map will be your helpful pocket guide throughout your trip.|Breakfasts are wonderful prepared by Meryem and served by Naoual, the riads very capable 2IC, and Hichem and Hakim will take care of you in the evening. The cleaning ladies are ever present to look after your rooms, which are beautifully presented - sorry I didn’t remember your names!!|They also serve afternoon treats of mint tea and cake, again thanks to Meryem, which is delicious.|I would recommend Riad Assakina to everyone visiting Marrakesh, you won’t regret it!! Michele & Grant provide a truly unique experience for all their visitors, which we have now experienced for the 5th time and we will come back again!!

The Riad was well situated a very short walk from the Bahia Palace and lots of restaurants and bars.|Beautifully decorated and furnished in rich Moroccan style. Our rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean.|Breakfasts were plentiful with fresh orange juice and fruit, home cooked pastries and a choice of a hot plate.|In the afternoon we enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine on the pretty rooftop terrace with complimentary mint tea and homemade cake.|For us though, what really made our stay was the staff. Michele and the team couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. We were sent useful information before we arrived, and the team booked various things for us including a taxi to meet us at the airport and wonderful private day trip to the mountains. They also recommended and made restaurant reservations for us and on our first night we were even escorted to the restaurant! Nothing was too much bother. |We were sorry to leave and felt as though we were saying goodbye to friends. Thank you team Assakina.

A wonderful Riad situated in the Jewish quarter of Medina right next to the Bahia Palace. Perfectly placed to walk the length and breadth of the Medina whilst being in a slightly quieter ( better ) area.|Assakina is beautiful and I can’t praise it highly enough. We had the most wonderful 4 days there - impeccably looked after by Michele and her team. |Super helpful, incredibly relaxing - redesigned from scratch by Michele nearly 20 years ago, Assakina has been restored to a wonderful relaxing oasis in the middle (well the edge) of the craziness of Medina.|Thank you so much for looking after us - we can’t wait to visit again.|Xx
