Riad Dar Zaman

It is the second time we stay at this Riad… it is incredible and highly recommendable. Peter, the owner, is a wonderful person, speaks several languages, he is even fluent in Portuguese. Every one of the people of his staff are marvelous and take such a good care of you, that we felt like home. It has only four rooms, the location is in the heart of the Marrakech Medina, at a dead-end street, makes it very peaceful place with hardly any noise. So special. They have drivers to pick us up from and to the airport. They recommend a book special tours as we have wished. We loved every minute!

We attended a cookery class at the Riad last week and had a great time. We were well looked after by Humza and Karima. The experience started with welcome drinks followed by a local tour which gave us a real insight into how the local neighbourhood works. The cookery class was excellent and Karima shared plenty of tips. The food was delicious and lunch was served on a beautiful terrace. A very memorable day, thank you. Would highly recommend.

Riad Dar Zaman is a beautiful, quiet house in the medina. We stayed there for a week and were looked after with great kindness and hospitality by all the staff. The rooms are cosy and spotlessly clean. We had a fantastic tour of the local market and cookery class. This was one of the best holidays we have ever had and would recommend it to anyone wanting a special holiday.

We have just returned from a lovely 3 day stay here. The riad is in a great location - within walking distance of the main sites. It is tucked away and a nice peaceful haven. The room we stayed in was gorgeous- it had a really comfy bed, lovely bedding, towels and products in the bathroom. Filtered water was available which was a nice touch. We arranged the airport transfer which was great. Breakfast each day was delicious and varied to accommodate our vegan diet. We had a meal on the first evening which was lovely too. What made the stay incredible were the staff. Hassan met us on the first day and spent time explaining how to get around together with some useful tips which were invaluable. Adel looked after us daily and made the most delicious food and could not do enough for us . Thank you for a lovely stay

My husband and I stayed at Riad Dar Zaman for 3 nights in September. We additionally added a welcome dinner and the cooking classes to our stay. Overall, our stay was incredible!! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly, the private room and public spaces were beautiful and quiet. Lots of great areas to unwind after the day, and the plunge pool was great after a day of sight seeing! The food served for both breakfast and lunch were delicious! The cooking class was a lot of fun! You get a lot of food for lunch, and learn a lot both on the tour and during the cooking class as well. It was a bit longer than originally quoted (we finished closer to 4.5 hrs), but was definitely worth the price! I would recommend Riad Dar Zaman for everyone, and I would definitely stay here every trip to Marrakech!

If staying in Marrakech this Riad is amazing. Fully recommend. The whole team were so lovely, the food was fab and the room was exactly what we needed. Tucked away just outside the souk was lovely and quiet, and a great walk into the main square. Thanks for having us!!!

We did the cooking class (didn't stay overnight) and it was fantastic! Peter gave us a wonderful tour, taking us off the tourist track to see the neighbourhood hammam, bread oven, and produce & spice market. Hassan and Karima were a great team. It's evident that Karima has such a respect for the ingredients, and prepares her food with care and joy. Hassan's energy kept us going, and he prepared the best tea of our entire trip. We were absolutely stuffed by the end of our meal but we enjoyed it immensely. We can't wait to recreate our cooking class meal and try more of the recipes.

Peter, the owner is the most friendly guy you will ever meet. He met us from the taxi and showed us to the Riad and took his time to tell us things and any questions we asked. Our room, which was small was lovely, more than enough for us. The windows looked down to the centre of the Riad which was so pretty. Our door led straight out on the terrace with lots of plants, comfy seating and a couple of sun loungers with hats you could use and tables where you sat and ate breakfast. The breakfast was so tasty and fresh. We had a meal here on our first night which was delicious cooked by the lovely Karima. The area is only 5 mins to the Souks and about a 15 min walk to the main square. Which is a must of an evening. The staff were and are exceptional nothing is too much trouble for them. So kind and friendly. Hassanne is fantastic and as for Adil and Hamza, they went above and beyond. We had lots of lovely chats and laughs. Thanks again everyone and missing all your smiley faces.
