Riad L'Orangeraie, Marrakech, Morocco - Explore & Book

"At first, it was a love of golf that made brothers Laurent and Cyril Bernard occasional visitors to Marrakech, but it wasn’t long before a love of Moroccan style made them permanent fixtures. So, fortified with a family inheritance plus a sense of sophistication only hip young Frenchmen seem to possess, the Bernard brothers bought a neglected riad from Marrakech’s influential Tigani family and transformed it into the elegant Riad L’Orangeraie. Situated in the Mouassine district of the old Medina, a five-minute stroll from the vibrant Djemaa El Fna, the words ‘prime location’ and L’Orangeraie are inseparable. But it’s not just a pretty face in the right place. Inside, this harmonious seven-room townhouse wraps itself gracefully around two expansive patios - one with fountains and aromatic flowers, the other with a mosaic swimming pool and steamy hammam. And, literally topping it off, a dazzling roof terrace with views to the Atlas Mountains. Romantic bliss. Highs Location, location, location - you can’t beat the L’Orangeraie’s positionPerfect for nipping back to download your parcels and for a post-shop swimCars can stop at the front door, a real rarity in the old medinaThe bedrooms are lovely and the food is incredibleVery friendly and helpful service from Cyril and his team Lows It gets booked up quicklyDinner is only available on request (you need to alert staff you're eating in over breakfast)As with all of Marrakech, light sleepers may need to bring ear plugs, but we slept like babiesNote that credit card payments incur a 4% surcharge" - Glenda Richards

Such a treat! I cannot recommend this Riad enough. Cyril and his team want you to enjoy Marrakech and all its' magic - going above and beyond, sharing their secrets and connections to help prepare an amazing itinerary for your stay. |The Riad is perfectly located, a short walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa. |Stepping through the front door leaving behind the hustle of the city into a gorgeous and calm oasis. The riad is beautifully decorated, super comfortable with a gorgeous team of people on hand to ensure you have an amazing stay. Breakfast delicious, all local and freshly prepared as was the delicious lunch we had on arrival - best tagine we ate on our trip. We will return,

Astonishingly beautiful, peaceful, warm and hospitable riad. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with mint tea in one of the gorgeous sitting rooms off the cool and shady courtyard, then escorted us to our comfortable and lovely room. Full Moroccan breakfasts on the terrace were a perfect way to start the day with fresh juice, an assortment of breads, delicious homemade yogurt and eggs. And do definitely have dinner at the riad if you can - Nadia's tajines are a delicious work of art! ||The riad is visually exquisite and you'll feel at peace and cocooned away from the busy medina. It's in a great location, just a few minutes' walk from Jema el Fnaa and tons of other sights. ||The staff are just wonderful, and they're what really make this riad special - the manager Aziz does everything he can to make sure you're comfortable and taken care of, and Omar and Imad are so kind and charming. Special shout out to Imad for being a sweetheart to everyone, even strangers - he walked us to our bus when we were leaving, noticed some other tourists looking lost, and helped them find the bus they were looking for. ||Can't recommend L'Orangeraie enough. It's a dreamy oasis and you'll have a wonderful stay here.

We loved this gorgeous, traditional hotel and the friendly staff, especially Jamal, who made us feel at home after two weeks of traveling Morocco. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and so happy we booked dinner our last night on the terrace! We booked the Nutmeg room which was tranquil, spacious and comfy with crisp white linens and towels. Honestly speaking it was our favourite stay and was the jewel of our first trip to Morocco. |So grateful for your hospitality, especially helping us celebrate our anniversary with beautiful roses.

I had the most amazing stay at Riad l’Orangerie with my family. The staff were all amazing (particularly Imad and Aziz), we had delicious breakfast every day and also dinner on the day we arrived, which was ready waiting for us. The location is perfect to explore the souks, and inside the Riad it is incredibly cool, peaceful and quiet. I would absolutely recommend staying here - we will be back the next time we come to Marrakech.

Look no further for accommodation in Marrakesh. We had the most fantastic four night stay at Riad l'Orangeraie in the Ginger room. Aziz and the team were brilliant from start to finish and helped us organise a tour guide, hammam, local recommendations and a taxi to our next destination. The homemade dinner was delicious (our favourite food in Marrakesh actually!) as well as breakfast each morning. The riad has been beautifully designed, and the room was very clean, comfy and quiet. Location is perfect, and we felt very safe walking home at night. Counting down the days till we can return. Thank you, Riad l'Orangeraie.

Riad l'Orangeraie was one of my favorite places that I have ever stayed. The Riad itself is beautiful with traditional Moroccan architecture but updated to look elegant and to maximize comfort and convenience for the guest. We had a meal cooked by Nadia on the first evening and it turned out to be the best meal we had in the entire trip. The staff was so kind and friendly and really provided the best service to their guests. Each person, including the owner went above and beyond expectations and provided incredible service and made our entire stay very memorable and wonderful. I cannot recommend l'Orangeraie enough!

10/10 - quite luxury. Look no farther, you’ve found it, your perfect Marrakesh hide away. From stepping out the taxi onto a busy rainy street to be met by the team holding umbrellas for us to the final hugs goodbye, from start to finish it was a magical stay. The staff give top tire recommendations and advice, they book the best experiences, taxis and even help you when you get a little sick. The rooms are really well presented, art work is stunning, breakfast is so lovely, the rooftop is relaxing and so private. Just stay here, you don’t need to look at any other place.

We had a relaxing 4 days in Marrakesh, to explore predominantly the Medina (the old part) of the city. We stayed at the Riad l'Orangeraie and the staff, food and accommodation were perfect. The breakfasts were filling and had different fruits cakes, breads and yoghurts each day. The staff were very helpful and the roof was the perfect place to relax at night. Overall a lovely stay, and I think 2-4 days is the perfect amount of time to see Marrakesh, unless you're planning on going out of the city.
