Riad Fes (Fes, Morocco) 4 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Marrakech has convenience and accessibility going for it, but if you want to see the ancient side of Morocco, you want to see Fez. And if you’re staying in Fez, you want to stay in a riad — and this one, Riad Fès, is among the best of them." - Tablet Hotels

Location is absolutely amazing. Overall a nice hostel. But they serve breakfast at 9:30 which is very late if you are planning day trips as most of the day trips start between 7 and 8. When I asked, they promised me that they will keep a croissant in the fridge so I didn’t buy anything but at the end they didn’t care. On Hostelworld, the breakfast timings are not mentioned so it was very inconvenient. Also the tap of the washbasin in my room was broken and toilet was not clean

My stay at Riad Verus was absolutely amazing. The place is stunning, with so many lovely spots to relax and unwind. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable, and the free breakfast was fantastic with plenty of delicious options. They often served us tea or coffee and were always checking in to make sure we were comfortable. I’m so glad I stayed here—highly recommend this place!

Did a last minute vacation here for about a week, ended up being such a phenomenal time. The rooms had comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The shared common space upstairs was one of the highlights of the location, lots of space to lounge and chat with other people staying there, look at the view of the medina on the roof, and do work when it's quiet. Nassim, one of the employees there, was very kind and made tea for everyone frequently, and joined in on social activities happening upstairs. Amazing stay, you really feel welcome there, highly recommend.

I wanted to like this hostel, but the communication and management were consistently disappointing. Before arriving, I reached out about unclear “bed option” choices in the booking system, and the response was unexpectedly sharp and unhelpful. During my stay, I reported rain leaking into the common room and was ignored mid-sentence. Later, I requested a room change at 9:30am after several unpleasant events disturbed my stay. I was told to return at 3:30pm, but when I did, newer arrivals were helped before me. The owner then claimed nothing was available — even though multiple dorm beds were still showing online. When I pointed this out, I was told I was “being difficult.” I remained calm, but the dismissive tone and lack of accountability made me feel unsupported as a solo traveller. And unfortunately, poorly managed hostels tend to attract inconsiderate guests — which was very obvious during my stay. To be fair, the staff here are polite, friendly, and genuinely try to help and I absolutely appreciate their efforts and presence, they are the only reason that made my stay more pleasant — but the management is not. The building is beautiful, but the management issues made me check out early. I wouldn’t stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at Riad Verus! |The location and atmosphere were absolutely excellent — truly captured the local charm. I stayed for just one night, but the room was very comfortable and well-maintained. What made the experience even better was the amazing hospitality from Nasim, the host, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! 🙌 Value for money ✅

Had an amazing stay here! The location is absolutely Perfect for exploring the old town. Rooms are a good price to quality ratio but most of all the staff is great! The guys made us feel very welcome, helped us out with info, parkspace etc. We had some great nights on the rooftop terrace.

Absolutely loved my stay here. The location is perfect, lots of friendly and young travelers around. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. Honestly, the breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had included in a hostel stay, so delicious and far beyond what you’d expect, especially for such a great price. Highly recommend!
