RIAD VERUS

An incredibly social hostel with incredibly friendly staff. A special shout out to Naseem, he cared for our every need, being endlessly friendly and helpful, providing a plentiful and delicious breakfast (almost enough for me to last to dinner)! This hostel is reasonably priced, costing me 420 dirhams (£34) for 3 nights, with breakfast included. (Although make sure you bring cash as this is a cash-only hostel.) The tours they provide do seem to be marked up, but this seems to be the case throughout Morocco. In any case, this is a sociable and easygoing hostel!

The staff here treat you like family from the second you walk in—they’re incredibly helpful and always have the best local recommendations. The vibe is constantly on point with a curated playlist that sets a relaxed, soulful mood throughout the courtyard. You’ll want to wake up early for the breakfast; it’s a fresh, authentic spread that’s easily the best meal of the day. The entire place is impressively clean, from the pristine tilework in the common areas to the well-maintained dorms and bathrooms. It’s the perfect, spotless home base for anyone looking to experience the magic of the Fes Medina with a great soundtrack.

had a really great stay at this hostel! The rooftop area is such a fun spot to relax and hang out, with lots of games and a great atmosphere. My room was clean and comfortable, and everything felt well taken care of. The staff and people there were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

I had a great stay at Riad Verus. The staff are very kind, serving excellent complimentary tea to all guests hanging out in the common area. The free breakfast is also huge ! Great vibes and value for money.

Stayed here for three nights and was more than glad to pick this spot. The vibe in the hostel is super chill and friendly and fun. They have chill/upbeat music playing most of the day in the social area upstairs which makes for a great environment to chat and make friends. They served us sweet Moroccan tea every night and make sure we were happy. The rooms themselves are fine. No complaints there although I guess having curtains would be nice. The showers are good :) The location is the best bit. Is a great location to be picked up close by for Tours and also in the Medina so easy to see everything you would want to see in Fes.

I had a great stay at Riad Verus over the past week. Between the tea, amazing breakfast and the nice rooftop I highly reccomend this hostel. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfy. Special thanks to Nassim for his welcome and great energy !

I would definitly recommand this place (and go back anytime I'm in Fès). The thing that I liked the moost was this super cosy living room upstairs that made the contact with every traveller very smooth. I experienced a very welcoming atmosphere ! We directly made a group of friends with the solo travelers from the hostel :) Also we got a very large breakfast (salted and sweet! With Coffee, sandwiches, orange Juice, soupe, marocain bread, fruit salade, ...) In this cosy living room upstairs, with jazz music, you received the all the day long 🫖

Staying at Riad Verus was one of the absolute highlights of my trip to Morocco. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed not just as a guest, but as part of a warm, international community.||The staff is kind, attentive, and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience possible, including helping me organize an amazing desert tour to Merzouga. Everything was perfectly arranged, stress-free, and truly unforgettable from the landscapes to the people we met along the way. It ended up being one of the best experiences of my entire trip.||As an American woman traveling solo, I really appreciated how safe and comfortable I felt throughout my stay. The location is perfect right in the heart of the Fes Medina, yet peaceful once you step inside the riad. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the common spaces, especially the rooftop, are great for relaxing and connecting with other travelers.||Riad Verus has real character, warmth, and soul. It’s more than just a place to sleep it’s a place to feel at home while truly experiencing Morocco. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fes.
