The Essential Guide to Olympic National Park

"This dramatic stretch of coastline is known for monumental sea stacks, driftwood-strewn shores, roaring surf, and the Hole-in-the-Wall sea arch, offering striking ocean scenery and photo opportunities. Shoreline wildlife viewing is excellent—bald eagles, sea lions, otters, and even whales can be spotted—but visitors should be mindful of tides and powerful waves when exploring." - Travel + Leisure Editors

10 Wheelchair Accessible Beaches in the U.S.

"Rialto Beach is tucked within the expanse of Olympic National Park, a destination that offers people with mobility devices plenty of paved trails and accessible viewpoints. But the beach, which is outfitted with an accessible walkway in the summer, is not to be missed. Visitors of different abilities can ascend a sand dune via a pathway." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Beach with rock formations up close giving it a mystical feel. We saw folks fishing here at the beach, it’s a dog friendly beach too. Great for family outings. It gets very misty and cloudy here.

This Beach is so amazing. I had so much fun. The 1st Time I was there it was foggy and could not see anything. But, my 2nd Time. I got to see everything. The Water, Scenery, Big Rocks In The Distance. And, so many more. I strongly recommend this place if you are looking to relax and just get your feet in the water without swimming. This place is for you. Bit Windy. But, not too bad at all. I would recommend visiting this place if you can.

One of my favorite beaches on the peninsula. Beautiful seastacks and driftwood. Take the hike to Hole in the Wall when the tide is out. You wont regret it. Four stars because the bathroom is pretty horrible.

Pictures do not do this place justice. I am from Florida and this was my first time in the Olympic NW. It was like being on another planet. The beach is made of incredibly smooth stones of different sizes. My family is autistic and we were mesmerized by the sensory experience of this beach. The waves are incredibly powerful. The beach is littered with driftwood trees. There are amazing rock formations in the ocean. I’ve never seen anything like it. For anyone disabled, it was difficult for me to walk the beach because it’s all rocks. I brought my hiking poles with the beach attachment to help with stability. You have to work your way around the fallen logs, but it was doable for me. I have spinal fusion and loose joints from EDS. I would love to come here again with a chair and just soak up the magical calming beauty of this place. It felt sacred.

Tide pools! Beach! Islands! Ocean spray! A beautiful beach that we went out of the way to arrive to. The only downside is there isn’t much parking, so on a busy day you may not be able to find a spot. Nonetheless, it is a gorgeous beach that is worth a visit.

What a beautiful beach, with beechwood scattered along the shore and tall trees lining the coastline. The views are stunning throughout. You can enjoy a scenic 1.8-mile walk to Hole-in-the-Wall Beach, with fascinating tidepools. The sunsets here are truly worth staying for.

Beautiful beach with a ton of driftwood. Rocks make a cool ‘rain stick’ sound as the water rushes back out from the waves. Seems like you can pretty much just walk up the beach as far as you want. Rocks and rock dust (sand) can make the footing a bit uneven if you have balance issues (like walking on loose sand does). Would be a great place to watch a sunset or look at the stars. Would recommend!

It’s a very unique beach with giant trees around with! Many trees die a long time ago but live forests are still right next to the beach! High tide with roaring waves and black sands washed away from the shore.
