For us was a last minute booking directly at the hotel, the staff in reception was very welcoming and friendly genuinely willing to help, specially with the parking. Our room 336 was a twin with very firm mattresses, light bedding and comfy enough pillows. Good clean towels, recommend bring your own toiletries. The wooden floor wasn’t clean though you could see hairs and stains, we only noticed one single cleaning lady and only doing the stairs. The noise at night was very loud on that side of the street but mind was Friday and full of lively youngsters we were so tired didn’t mind. Not sure if was the late dinner I had but that night I was having the worst upsetting nightmares I’ve ever experienced! In the morning, my roommate also said the same thing and other friend in the room 227 awful nightmares too!
The hotel itself has that sort of atmosphere, period classic, original features with a lot of character and really enjoy this for a change from super modern ones but I personally left thinking it might be haunted! Some of the other rooms seem quite appealing and charming ours weren’t as nice though which makes me question the value for money. Breakfast could easily be better catered. Location is excellent though good luck with the parking.
