Google
My whole family absolutely loves this place! The service is consistently friendly and professional, and the food is just amazing. I can’t get enough of the Shrimp Vermicelli Bowl—it's definitely my favorite!

Google
We really enjoyed the sandwiches and Pho. The lime tea was very good as well. DOOOO IIITTTT!!!

Google
Very good food and nice size portions. Egg rolls were very good and the dipping sauce was so good. Tried the limeade and it was delicious! The only thing is the inside dining area is way too small and crowded. It was so busy and people were waiting to get a table.

Google
This place was amazing, everything was just great. I would definitely go again if I lived near here. The person at the counter was so kind and the food was so delicious!!! For those who are painfully awkward like myself this is for you. I entered through the back (already questioning myself) grabbed a menu and sat down. After I ordered and paid (in the most awkward manner possible) I sat down and it came out in about 5 minutes, maybe even less than that. If you don’t order a drink they have in the back, they’ll give you a cup for water and the water will be by the door you enter through. They have the utensils you need right by the door as well. When you finish eating you’ll just put your stuff away in the little containers by the trash can. I highly recommend if you enjoy food such as theirs, it’s both affordable and good. (By the way I ordered S.6 w/ glass noodles.)

Google
Food is excellent for the price. Atmosphere is very modern even a bit industrial touch to it. Not as big as an actual restaurant. Parking is a bit out of the way in the rear as the front only has 2 spots for regular parking and 2 spots for takeout. If you have children the tables are quite next to each other so the best bet is a quick meal. This restaurant is going to have great growth with its menu selection and will eventually need a bigger space. It is however one of the best Pho spots in central PA. The Banh Mi is authentic as can get.

Google
We have enjoyed this Vietnamese restaurant since they almost initially opened the business. The portions are larger than standard. They are very tasty and rather quick with meal service for sit down service, while taking continuous calls for pick-up orders. This family ran business is worth stopping and having a great meal that will leave one happy and satisfied.

Google
Literally some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve had in Pennsylvania. The hosts are really lovely in the front, and the place is superbly clean.

Google
Best, freshest pho in the area! Bun Thit Nuong is super yummy as well! Fried rolls come out perfectly hot and crispy, not soggy. Spring rolls are delicious and fresh. We always come here and get the same thing but need to try more on their menu, which has a lot to choose from. The workers super friendly and nail it every time! The atmosphere is super clean and bright, and prices are very fair. 😊

Yelp
I think it's one of, if not the best Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Truly fantastic food, with a hipster vibe. They also sell macarons! I've never ever had a bad meal here. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Yelp
If I can't get downtown to Sprout this is my go to. Being that I hate going downtown and dealing with parking fees it's my go to place more than Sprout. They are the same company with the same menu. Worth the trip every time to both of them. I recommend the CM2 & AP4.

Yelp
This used to be a place we stopped every time we passed through Lancaster. Definitely not the quality I remember. My fried rice was tasteless -- no punch of garlic or first sauce I could detect -- and I had to douse it in Sriracha to get anything out of it. The taro pudding held up (and is still amazing and green) but I remember the food being way more flavorful. The seating space is still nice (though small) and at least service was fast. Thing I'm moving on to other restaurants in the area.

Yelp
Bernard and Alys... EXCELLENT! Rice & Noodles staff provides the most personable service. They remember every customer by name. Food is amazing & nostalgic. It reminds me of home cooked Vietnamese food. Hands down best restaurant in Lancaster! Ps. Restaurant is very clean!
google avatar

Jackie A.

Yelp
Dined alone and was comfortable in doing so. Service was friendly. It's a small restaurant and I felt fortunate, that seating was available. Get the lime iced tea. I'm a big tea fan and this tea, was perfectly sweetened and the lime, refreshing. Ordered a plate of vermicelli noodles, thickly sliced homemade sausage on top, accompanied by lettuce leaves, fresh basil, sliced cucumber, pickled julienned carrots and a sweet sauce. I sausage was flavorful. Originally, I didn't think my meal would be filling, but it was amply portioned. The only downside and it's minor, is that I wish the pickled carrots had more zip, to them.

Yelp
I haven't been here in a VERY long time. They have changed a lot about the place. Mainly it is now counter service with a lot more to go activity than in-restaurant dining. But the food was just as tasty as I remember! And now with numerous pho places in town-- there is competition for being amongst the tastiest. The staff was kind and attentive. We thought the food was super tasty... and the restaurant, despite being modified to be more counter service is still a lovely little spot. Nothing super special but it has a little charm. Good pho! Good summer rolls! What else do you need? :)
google avatar

Mickie K.

Yelp
Enjoyed a hearty meal twice already. It's a bit of a distance for me but when I'm in the Lancaster area, I will stop here. Everyone is courteous and the food is quick and delicious. Though it has a fast food feel the food is not. They are cooking in a visible kitchen behind the counter.
google avatar

Rakesh R.

Yelp
Great, clean restaurant. From the outside it looks unassuming. But it's super busy inside because the food and service are great. Order at the counter and be lucky to find a seat. Food comes out fast. Beef pho was really hearty - perfect for a cold day! Pork noodle bowl was great - tender grilled pork bites over noodles and salad, with a fish sauce drizzle. Super good. They were very accommodating to those with small children as well, as the restroom is heated and has a clean changing table. Extra points for this kind touch!

Yelp
Summary: Delicious and refreshing Vietnamese Banh Mi and other dishes at great prices. Love their traditional Soda Chanh and Soda Chanh Muoi drinks! Loved this place!!! We visited Lancaster for the first time and were so glad we found this place for some satisfying Banh Mi!! We loved them so much that we went back for more before we left Lancaster! Currently, this spot is only doing takeout and curbside pickup. They have another spot in the city that is dine in. Wait time for food is pretty fast, about 15-20 mins. Their Banh Mi's are served on foot long thin baguettes. At first sight, it didn't look like we would be full from them, but I was satisfied after I finished a whole Banh Mi. We ordered their BM 2, BM 5, and BM 7...All were fantastic and highly recommended!

Yelp
As an asian this is by far the worst pho I've had in my whole life. Just go to Pho Pasteur 3 if you want real pho
google avatar

Yelp
The food and service is always solid. This place is one of the best establishments in Lancaster County, serving delicious sandwiches, pho and much more, you will not be disappointed if you stop in for a bite. Whether it's a cold day in December or a hot summer afternoon, this place has food that will fit the weather and your palate.

Guy J.

Yelp
Thank you to the kind man waiting in line that made this recommendation. Super clean environment, friendly staff and absolutely the best Vietnamese food!!
google avatar

Yelp
Have to try asian food even in Amish country! I ordered the seafood stir fry noodles and was disappointed the seafood came in a container of soup and the noodles was separated. I would assume when you stir fry..it's dry and you stir fry the seafood/noodles together! I also ordered the caramelized fish. The host of the B&B I stayed at loved it so much, he tried to get the recipe to duplicate it! It was delicious, a hint of spicy, a hint of sweet glazed. Went excellent with rice. Not a bad spot for dinner and would've love to try more of their items.

V R B.

Yelp
Food was good a great healthy option vs traditional Asian food. Food was fresh restaurant very clean.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place. Authentic FRESH tasting food! I've tried a few different things on the menu and they were all delicious! The Pho and spring rolls are my faves! I wasn't sure about the sandwiches until my brother got a few different ones to share and I was pleasantly surprised. They're so flavorful and tasty! It's a small restaurant to dine in and the parking area is a match for the dine-in area. I've done both before and would still recommend them either way (eat in or take out).

Yelp
On a trip out to Lancaster, we came across Rice and Noodles, a little Vietnamese restaurant on Lititz Pike. Having been disappointed with international food in this part of Pennsylvania, we couldn't help but think, how good is a Vietnamese restaurant going to be way out here in Lancaster? The answer is; very good. Outstanding actually! For our meal we went with the Banh Mi Thit Nuong which was grilled chicken (they allowed us to substitute out the pork), green onions, garlic oil, crushed chili peppers, Chinese radish, julienne carrots, and nuoc mam sauce. We also got the Ga Xao Xa which was chicken sautéed with pineapple, garlic, cilantro and tomato and served over pan fried rice noodles. Next was the Bo Kho which is a rich and thick stew containing chunks of beef and carrots over a bowl of rice noodles. Then we got the Com Bo Luc Lac, which is stir-fried beef and yellow onions over white rice. Finally, we got a beef and a chicken pho. Once all of the food was served and the wonderful aroma hit our nostrils, we dug in like savages. I was seriously surprised with how bold their flavors were and I was wowed by all of the delicious dishes. Everything was outstanding, top to bottom. It was a truly superb meal, one of my favorites from our trip. Pricing was reasonable, 4 entrees and 2 Pho's was about $70. Service was fine. Overall, five stars for Rice and Noodles. Highly recommended! Summary: Food - 5/5 - Super delicious, bold flavors, very enjoyable. There are lots of options on the menu. Atmosphere - 4/5 - Minimalistic, but clean and pleasant. Service - 5/5 - Hard working staff, not a lot of chit chat (which I prefer actually) and the food was served quickly. Value - 5/5 - Outstanding value for the price. Portions were very generous.

Yelp
The restaurant was take out only with car-side delivery - not sure if it's the norm or due to COVID. Their menu had a wide selection with super reasonable prices. I ended up opting for the Tai Pho and was pleased with it. For the price of the food, I would definitely recommend! I'll probably be back to try their other menu options.

Sierra S.

Yelp
I love it here!!! Their CM6 is so good, I always devour this platter within 5 minutes. Lol
google avatar

Annabelle S.

Yelp
Food is good, but nothing particularly delicious or special. Reasonable prices and ok service. The banh mi we ordered surprisingly didn't come prepared with jalapenos, cucumbers, or cilantro. When we requested some, we were charged another $3 and had to add it into the banh mi ourselves. The beef pho was 7/10. Not the worst experience or food by any means, but of the Vietnamese food I've had, this admittedly isn't top of the list.
google avatar

Matt B.

Yelp
Perfection every time! I love this restaurant! The food is what it is all about. Service is prompt and courteous. The dining room is small but always clean and inviting.

Bim M.

Yelp
Had not gotten food from here since they added Sprouts. Ordered the Central Vietnam Soup and the Vietnamese beef stew. The beef stew was mediocre at best, but the central Soup was horrible. When we opened the container it smells like something that sat in a refrigerator for weeks .....very disappointing!
google avatar

Hannah W.

Yelp
I've never had a terrible meal. Love this place just as much as their sister location Sprout. No criticisms here, other than the fact that I don't get here enough! The vermicelli salad bowls are my favorite! You can't go wrong with the fried tofu or the chicken. And please do yourself a favor and add the egg rolls! Hands down one of my favorite places in Lancaster!

Yelp
Our family has been customers at Rice and Noddle's since they opened. Their food stays consistently outstanding throughout the years, and the owner is very personable. They are very knowledgeable about food allergies, especially regarding gluten-free food. Please note that they only do takeouts. Highly recommended if you want high-quality Vietnamese food. Don't forget to pick up a Vietnamese coffee. It's super good!

Latisha O.

Yelp
Husband found this place online and it was our first time and not the last either. Everything that we ordered was amazing and fresh. Very chill and clean vibe. The service was very fast. We didn't even wait that long for our food to get done. Highly recommend going here!
google avatar

Lorraine G.

Yelp
Good Vietnamese options. My husband loves their pho and banh mi sandwiches and eats here regularly. It's odd that they offer macrons as a dessert option; we ordered them once, but wouldn't repeat the experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Service: the service was good and very quick. Friendly staff Food: the pho was average in my opinion. The broth was tasty but the overall ingredients inside were subpar compared to some of the other local Vietnamese place. The spring rolls and fried tofu also were not as good as some other places in town. Overall the food was average

Jessica R.

Yelp
The food is delicious and the prices are good I'll recommend this place i don't eat Chinese food bc they put a lot oil but this food id doesn't have a lot oil.
google avatar

Jao S.

Yelp
I used to get carry out for lunch or dinner here at least once a week, easily one of my favorite restaurants in the area and Steve and the family are always friendly and welcoming. The only downside is the limited parking which is often full but still worth it

Yelp
I sabotaged my boyfriend into eating this food. Well, not sabotaged, but he's not so adventurous when it comes to food. However, he got hit by a nasty respiratory bug while at a work training, so I went in search for some comfort food to go. I admittedly do not have much experience with Vietnamese cuisine. I've had pho before, but that's about it. I figured some nice hot soup would do him well, and found Rice & Noodles not too far from our hotel. I ordered us a few things, because I wasn't going to lose out just because he was sick. Bo Kho: A spicy beef and carrot soup. I ordered this with egg noodles. I loved this way more than my selection. It was a flavorful heavy broth; he added sriracha for extra kick. The beef was very tender. Large was a HUGE portion! Hoanh Thanh: This was my soup selection. A lighter broth with wontons and pork slices. It wasn't that it was bad; my boyfriend's was just so good that I was disinterested in this. The pork was a little dry, but soaking in the broth helped. Bun Bi Thit Nuong: This was also a winner! Vermicelli salad with shredded pork skin and pork chunks. This pork was flavorful and tender. Loved the dressing on it. We got it with the egg rolls, which were tasty and fresh. Jasmine tea with lime: Amazing! I saw it on the menu and wasn't sure about getting it until the take out order in front of me ordered one. It's the best limeadesque beverage I ever had. The employees I encountered were pleasant and answered all questions I had. I was surprised how busy it still was at 7:30 on a Monday. Dining area looked very clean but small. Prices were very reasonable for how much food we got. The food was absolutely delicious. I also liked how everything was packed separately (as in the noodles/toppings from the broth). I was a little disappointed in the amount of toppings we both received, however. I'm not exactly sure what ours were supposed to come with, but we didn't get any limes, jalapeños, bean sprouts, and barely got any onions and cilantro. We did get sriracha and a spicy chili paste, though. Not a deal breaker, and something easily remedied in a dine-in situation. I would not hesitate to stop here again. I think I got my boyfriend on the pho bandwagon, AND he felt a lot better the next day. Can't wait to explore more of the menu next time I'm in town!

Jiwon L.

Yelp
Take out only!!!! Go to 58 n prince st for indoor dining. Please disregard the rating. I'm heading to the location now. Hopefully the food is good, but a bit frustrated with not knowing and getting there.

Yelp
First time ordering from Rice & Noodles and I have to say I was not disappointed! Fast delivery and delicious food!

Karen K.

Yelp
Got takeout as we were arriving in the area soon before they closed. They were very accommodating with our needs for gluten, dairy, and meat-free. The soup was warm and nourishing. The Spring rolls were a little bland due to all the things we couldn't have in them but a good accompaniment to our feast.
google avatar

Caroline W.

Yelp
I am so surprised that this restaurant can get nearly 5 star with almost 400 people's review! Their food is actually not so good! We order wonton soup, Pho(P1), and pork chop rice. The pork chop has a smelly flavor. The wonton soup isn't like the picture I saw on Yelp. That one is filled with wonton, but when I got mine, come on! Only a few MINI-sized wonton! And for the pho which is the spirit of Vietnamese food really disappointed me! The beef is so dry. The basil and bean sprout is not fresh either! Sigh

Yelp
Passing through Lancaster this morning and this one popped up as one of the two ethnic restaurants in my bookmarks that I wanted to try. Silantra doesn't open till noon on Saturdays, so we wound up here, around 11:00 am. There are stairs on both the front and back entrances, not good for the handicapped. Through the decor I could see an attempt to give this place a hip and modern feel albeit ad hoc. Still, this eatery felt clean and pleasant. The metal utensils were placed inside plastic! I came specifically for one dish, the Bun Rieu Cua (thanks Carissa!). I couldn't find it on the menu, but the waiter who took my order guided my attention to the postcard on the table number holder (see Photo). I was in luck because this is a seasonable dish and it was available today! It came within 10 minutes. I thought the bowl seemed a bit on the small side, maybe I was hungry. It was hot but I liked it piping hot, so I flagged down a waitress to have it nuked for 1-2 minute. And then it was perfect. I've never had this dish before. The tamarind soup base was very tangy and tasty. They also gave a generous serving of the crab/pork meat balls. The fried tofu added an interesting texture to the bite. At the end I was more satisfied than I thought I would. My son ordered BM #5 Banh Mi Thit Nuong (seasoned pork) and he loved it. The bread was especially crispy and fragrant. The signature banh mi pickled daikon and carrot made any given bite salivating. And the chili sauce on top was better than Sriracha!! (Yes, I begged my son to give me 2 inches of the goodness.) Service was superb. We were attended several times by our inital waiter, and by the time the meal was over, we were attended by all of the 4 wait staff. Minimum charge for credit card: $5 A solid four star rating!

Yelp
"Those who are easily shocked should be shocked more often." ― Mae West I have been pleasantly surprised by the food culture here in Lancaster, and even more so by the variety of international cuisine. Honestly, I was a bit concerned moving to the area, and that I might not be able to continue with my adventurous eating at restaurants. But I have to say that in some ways, I've been happier here than I was back in Virginia. Exhibit number one: Rice & Noodles (RN). Ever since I heard about Bun Rieu Cua (BR) from my friends in California, I've been searching for it around me. My first Vietnamese restaurant in Lancaster and... boom! There they have it. Even though I was really craving a bahn mi, I had to try the BR. Before I tell you about my experience tasting the BR, I must tell you about the staff. There were about four employees taking care of the customers. There really wasn't just one server at each table; they all worked together to take orders, bring out the food, refill drinks, etc. There was a young woman who was especially friendly and polite. She made sure I was happy. I loved the group effort though. However, I must also mention about the restaurant itself. If you are claustrophobic or do not like loud noise, this might not be your best choice. The inside is small and the tables are very close together. Because of that and because they do lots of business during lunchtime (haven't been there during dinner time), it gets loud. If you can deal with that, then I highly recommend RN. Okay--now it's time to talk about BR. I've tried Pho (chicken and beef); Bun Bo Hue; Vermicelli Salad; Egg Rolls; Spring Rolls; Banh mi (chicken, pork and even head cheese); Dry Egg Noodles--so you can see I've discovered quite a bit of different things at Vietnamese restaurants but BR was definitely top on my list. BR is a soup with crab and pork meatballs with deep-fried tofu in a tamarind base tomato broth served with vermicelli rice noodles. It definitely has a completely different taste from Pho even though it was served with the typical bean sprouts, basil, jalapeños and lime. I knew it had crab in the meatballs, but didn't think it would smell fishy that much. The first couple of bites I wasn't a big fan, but the more I ate of it, the more it grew on me. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that I liked the deep-fried tofu. It kind of reminded me of fried eggs. I will most definitely be back for some banh mi and try their Bun Bo Hue since I've only tried it once and that was in San José, California. I doubt they'll have pizzle though...

Yelp
Wonderful food, good service, space is very crowded. But, I love it! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Couldn't believe how rude they were after we asked to move from a tight small table ( it was pushed against the wall right by the back entrance - and the chair was sticky ) when the restaurant wasn't even full??? So we decided to leave, he then offered us a table? We still left- Will not return. There was literally open tables, but we were told it was only 2 of us so we couldn't get the 4 person tables, even though we stated that there were other 4 person tables occupied by 2???- Even then I didn't make a scene because the chair was sticky. We've been here many times and the food is good, but definitely not good enough for us to be crowded in a corner for no reason.

Yelp
Even years after Rice & Noodles launched in Lancaster they still remain consistent and excellent. I always make it a point to eat hete at least once in the Fall/Winter months to get their Bun Rieu Cua soup. It has crab and pork meatballs with deep-fried tofu in a tamarind based tomato soup with vermicelli rice noodles. The soup is warming ad comforting, perfect for this time of year. Additionally, I had some of their Cha Gio (fried egg rolls) and their sweetened jasmine tea with lime. The Cha Gio at R&N are the BEST amongst all the Vietnamese restaurants in Lancaster. Perfectly crisp and flavorful. Consistent every time. The jasmine tea with lime is an exvellent beverage to choose. Not too sweet, not too limey. They used to offer a small (16 oz) and large (32 oz) but have settled on a standard 24 oz version.

Yelp
Disappointed with my visit here. Have eaten here in the past so was really looking forward to my lunch order as I was hangry. Not sure how sticky rice can be hard and crunchy but mine was. The meat was dry and the taste was ick.

Yelp
This place should not be missed! Their food and car pickup service is excellent. After careful deliberation I ordered the beef pho, Vietnamese iced coffee, and a bahn mi with beef. I did have some difficulty finding the restaurant. It is located in a tiny parking lot off of a major road- so a little tough to see. But as soon as I pulled in they came to my car to deliver the food. So easy! Everything was nicely packaged and nothing spilled on the way home. The noodles and toppings were separate from the broth so everything was as fresh as if I were eating in house! The sandwich was delicious- although I could only eat a couple bites. The pho is out of this world. The broth is amazing, beef and veggies were extremely fresh. The only downside was having to add my own hoisin and Sriracha. Thank goodness I had some on hand. I will definitely be coming back- this place is an absolute gem and their prices can't be beat.

Yelp
Not only some of the finest quality and tastiest food ever, the staff is also the kindest. After my little son and I were in a car accident right in front of the restaurant, they called the authorities and took care of my son while I handled all of the aftermath. And then they made us dinner to go! I'm forever grateful for their generosity. They made a terrible situation a little more calm and pleasant. There are truly wonderful people out there. Thank you!!!!

Yelp
There are a good number of Vietnamese restaurants in the area and I've tried a few. I really liked this one. The waitstaff is very friendly and accommodating. The dining area is cramped but clean. I like that I don't walk out of here smelling like Pho. The food is of high quality, too. The spring rolls and summer rolls were a little on the small side, but they were very tasty. The fried rolls are wrapped with egg paper (I prefer rice paper), but they fry it a little longer to give it a nice and longer lasting crunch. The pho broth, which my wife ordered was milder than most that I've tasted, but still pleasing. I did try a central Vietnamese noodle dish that I really enjoyed. The server asked if I wanted to add pork knuckle, which includes some tendon, meat, and fat. I got a sense she knew that I would like it, so I went for it and I was extremely satisfied. It's not for everyone, but I enjoy some of the lesser popular parts of the pig. The prices are very good. A bowl of Pho was $8. They have a kid's meal with $4 bowls of Pho. Great food, good prices, friendly staff, great experience! We'll be back.

Yelp
I hate writing this review because the times on the past that I've come here I was like WOW!!! Last weekend we came for takeout and I ordered what I usually get, fresh shrimp spring rolls and a banh mi. My fiancée got her usual which was the fried spring rolls and tofu and fried rice. I know everyone's hurting a bit right now but my fresh spring rolls seemed half the size, and they cut down on the ingredients in everything else. I'm hoping this was an off day, but I will definitely Italy be reluctant to go back soon.

Yelp
Soooo yummy! Sliced chicken sandwich was delicious, iced coffee (pressed w/ condensed milk) soooo good, fried tofu spring rolls also good & delicious macarones to go! All new entrees/food today. Helpful and attentive service. Terrific business.
google avatar

Yelp
We went here on our way home from Hershey Christmas lights. We ordered the Phu. I ordered the brisket Phu and my daughter had the vegetable phu with added noodles ($1 extra). We also had the fried egg rolls which were extremely good. The Phu was good with plenty of noodles and beef. My daughter also enjoyed hers. Our friends ordered the chicken and rice and the Tofu Phu. They were not big fans but agreed to give it another try. The Macaroons were HORRIBLE!!! Rubbery, chewy and not worth the $7.50 which I paid.
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
Great food & service! All of the noodle bowls are fantastic and huge. There are great dessert options too, including an assortment of macrons.

Yelp
Delicious, reasonable prices , feels healthy but secretly probably not so much haha. Loved the homemade sauces!

Yelp
Tons of gluten-free options, great Vietnamese-style coffee, pho is made with a family recipe. Every time I've been there at lunch it is very busy. It's a tight dining room. But people will put up with the loud, crowded seating to have some of their delicious menu. This place is efficient, delicious and family-owned. If you like pho, you'll love this spot. Be careful with that coffee; it is high-octane!
