Richmond Hotel Akita Ekimae

On 21 Jan 2025, my wife and I checked in here. The lobby is nice and the room is relatively spacious. It was so comfortable that I went sleeping at 10:30 pm. The airport limousine main station is just minutes of walking distance away. We got value for money.

Previous night was a happy one. Stayed a further 2 nights. Housekeeping staff did an excellent job. So did the front office and other staff. The restaurant staff were also helpful with our enquiries and went out of their way to give us advice. Unfortunately upon check out there was an unusual room charge transaction to our debit card supposedly fm Richmond hotel. Both front office and my side could not solve the discrepancy. The hotel provided all help necessary for me to resolve the matter in due course. Hopefully the matter will be resolved eventually or we will end up with paying a further 500 sgd for our stay.

A hotel worth staying in. It is not far from JR Akita Station and can be easily reached on foot. The front desk service is very attentive and check-in is smooth. The room is clean and tidy, and the space is not small. You can also see the beautiful yellow leaves on the street through the window.

Fm the moment we arrived, the whole process fm parking assisted by the parking attendants to check in done by reception and our requests and enquiries were handled by the hotel staff who are professional and friendly. Most importantly they manage every aspect of our stay with intelligence and common sense. Which made our stay a very happy one.

We loved our stay here, everyone was nice, the hotel was clean, and the room was great. It's not a huge room, but it's laid out in a very efficient way.

Two kiwis visiting Japan for the first time we really enjoyed our stay at the Richmond Hotel Staff were so welcoming and acknowledged you every time with a happy smile. Room was cosy with space for the two of us. Within a short walk to the station and plenty to do in the area. We will definitely stay again next time we come.

Not too far from train station & local market. Hotel a bit dated though. Spacious room, clean & comfortable bed. But toilet flush don't work so well - water keep flowing, need to repress lever to stop it everytime. Had experienced similar problem in Shinjuku hotel last year. Staff very nice & friendly. Overall a nice hotel but the sister hotel in Morioka is much much better ( see review).

A great time at this hotel. The staff were professional and the hotel was nicely done up. The room was very comfortable and the toiletries were nice too. Getting there in the snow with slush on the streets was not much fun though. Not too far from the train station, but still a decent distance away.
