If you want to travel comfortably and safe with your family, avoid this hotel at all costs. The location is in middle of borderline redline district where there are girl’s bars and drunks are everywhere at night when the night clubs and bars open even just right across the street from this hotel. If you are on a budget, and would love to explore the night life, this is a great location where you can basically walk anywhere historical during the day light. but for me, and my opinion only, I would rather spend money elsewhere. My family stayed at this hotel for a few nights because we weren’t eligible to cancel the reservation. I would give this hotel a negative star if I could.
The rooms - we requested a non-smoking room and the room has a strong smoke odor. My kids hate the smell of smoke and we asked if we could switch rooms and we were told that there are no vacant rooms at the moment and cannot change our reservation. It was such a horrible experience. On top of that, the sink area and bath tub reminded me of 1980’s old bath tub and the tub didn’t drain properly, and the water took about 5 minutes to drain after I showered, which I felt unsanitary. If you want to explore 1980 style business hotels, this is it.
I am usually laid back about the hotel, and I should have done enough research before I reserved the rooms (due to an inexpensive cost per night compared to other hotels in the area).
It was 100% my fault for choosing this hotel and I am leaving this review so others don’t make the same mistakes as I did. Save your money and go elsewhere, make sure to look at the addresses of where you are staying to make sure that the location is safe for you and your family.
