Richmond Istanbul

My brother and I spent five nights at this wonderful hotel and we loved everything about it. Perfect location in terms of a great neighborhood and easy access to the metro to the airport. The breakfast buffet was consistently expansive with new options daily. Very nice rooms and they even gave us an upgrade for free. The gym is open all day and has pretty much everything you need.I would definitely come back the next time I return to Istanbul. Highly recommend!

The Richmond Hotel is an excellent 4-4.5-star choice in the vibrant heart of Old Town. If you crave nightlife and energy, this is the place to stay. Other hotels may require a steep 600-foot climb, but the Richmond puts you right where the action is.||This 100-room hotel excels in personal, friendly service. The staff, many with decades of experience, go beyond typical hospitality, offering insider tips and assistance like friends would. Serkan, the assistant manager, along with the night manager and concierge, are particularly outstanding.||Request a spacious room on the 6th floor for the best experience. The included breakfast buffet is impressive for the price, offering great value without the extravagance of pricier luxury hotels. The Richmond combines warmth, efficiency, and affordability, making it a fantastic choice for a memorable stay.||Highly recommended for those seeking a lively location and exceptional service at a reasonable cost.

Very lovely and pleasant stay. The hotel is perfectly located, most of the things are within very reasonable walking distance. Staff is greatly friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is very rich and accommodating. Area is very safe. We had so much fun during our stay. We will definitely stay in this hotel if we visit Istanbul again. Many thanks to the entire staff.

This hotel was lovely! Complementary buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of options. Room service was always detailed, clean, and respectful of your things. The location is also very central. 10/10 would recommend. Beware that the street is pedestrian only, so you’ll have to walk with your luggage about 200-250 metres the first time you get there. However, still a wonderful place to stay.

I had a really great stay at this hotel! Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-organized, but what made the experience truly special was the amazing staff.||A big thank you to Harun Mert, who was incredibly helpful, kind, and always had a smile on his face. The hotel was very good — clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location right in the center of Istiklal Street. I especially want to thank the Rcp Engin 💪🏻💪🏻👏👏👏👏👏. He is a very kind, helpful, and respectful person. He communicates well with people from different backgrounds and languages. His English was excellent, which helped me a lot, since my first language is French. Speaking with him in English made me feel comfortable and understood. I highly recommend the Richmond Hotel to anyone visiting Turkey from abroad. The Richmond is a centrally located hotel. It's clean and well serviced, with smart fittings and bathroom. On the down side we were recommended a day tour (€ 160 pp) which was a walking tour, but the hotel didn't advise this. When a non-English speaking driver arrived (we don't speak Turkish) just drove for ages and dropped us at an unknown location. I did say to hotel staff at the time this seems disorganised, we were assured all was OK. My husband has bad knees now, so walking for hours was onerous and we cut the trip short. It rained, no umbrellas, no suggestion my husband's long shorts might have been a problem in churches at our departure. Lunch was next level scary. Thank fully our guide was wildly knowledgeable and delightful. On another occasion, we asked about a good grilled food venue for dinner. The restaurant didn't serve alcohol, which we were looking forward to at dinner. To provide a greater level of service, I would recommend the hotel staff ask questions when providing suggestions. Lastly, I did not enjoy being harassed by a tour salesperson catching me coming out of the lift at breakfast first thing in the morning, following me, persistently selling a river cruise. Surely your hotel should be a sanctuary in a city of 22 million people.

We were well received by the staff. Really friendly and paid attention to every detail and need. Had a problem with my vodafone sim card, a bell boy with a perfect english accent came to our door with an agent from vodafone on the phone. Ask for Haroun, Salih and Tahir. Highly recommended. You can even ask for tours and they will guide you. Great breakfast with a lot of variety

I'd heard rave reviews about this hotel from my friends in Istanbul, and I thought I would stay here for my final night. In terms of location, you can't beat this place. Smack dab in the most happening part of Istanbul, Istiklal street, this place is key to check out best parts. It's on a street that's walking only, so be prepared to lug your stuff around for a bit, depending on where your cab drops you off. It's also super close to the Metro station (Sishane or Sisli, cant remember exaclty) Though in terms of food, the breakfast was okay. Typical turkish fare. No room service menu though. The room itself I got on mad discount from Booking, so maybe this wasnt the best room to judge, but it was small and the bed wasn't the greatest. Also, the shower didn't have any seperation from the rest of the washroom, which resulted in my biggest pet peeve : wet washroom floors. All in all thought, in terms of the location, and the price I paid, I think I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice staff and helpful front desk. Clean hotel. However do not use the tours they offer . It's cheaper and better to get a taxi and go see they areas. Overall never coming back to Istanbul.
