Hi Hello

Google
I wish there was more to see than the visitors center and land. I understand it's importance, but I was hoping for more artifacts and structures. Everyone was great and helpful. Driving through the neighborhood was nice as well.

If I had a nickel for every stop sign leading up to this park from the northwest, I'd probably have about twenty five nickels. Mathematics aside, this site includes a sweeping overlook of Richmond. Nestled just south of the main walkways, the Richmond National Battlefield Park has more than enough historical merit to warrant a trip or two.

What a beautiful hidden National Park in the city of Richmond. There's also a small, well-appointed museum that's free to visit along with a brief movie theater with the most comfortable chairs. The gift shop and Rangers are also in this building. You can get your national parks passes here. I was thankful for a handicap lift that was easy to use on the side of the older building. It's really convenient and accessible.

Great medical museum! You can also stamp your NP passport here.

This park was awesome to visit but heads up, definitely need a car if you have kiddos because it stretches over such a massive area between Richmond and Cold Harbor. The only unfortunate part of this massive park was all the trash people leave around the small areas of interest which is no ding on the NPS - just wish we had more respect.

It’s really not much to look at, but the other battlefields a few miles away were fantastic moments of history to visit and learn from. The site is very small downtown and worth going to do the trail of the Richmond siege campaign.

Well maintained visitor center and exhibits. Surrounding area is also great to take a stroll. Easy access to Belle Isle. Free parking for an hour in the parking lot if validated. Otherwise you can park in the Belle Isle lot which is usually filled up. I'll suggest about two hours to experience this place fully.

For those who are interested in the Battle of Gaines Mill, this is the place to be. I saw more armed police on the trails and parking areas than I do in some cities.
