Beautiful park with well kept grounds. Friendly staff who were busy making improvements and upkeep. Gorgeous pond with fishing available, and an observation deck. Multiple Playgrounds and a pool with affordable rates. Awesome neighborhood gem.

We live right by the park and it's great. Love the sledding in the winter and hiking the trails with our dog.

Staff was extremely friendly however there were 3 preteen children running around, with one cursing at the lifeguards when told not to break the rules. They let them stay inside the pool area. In the male changing room there were a 5ish teen boys talking and my husband overheard something about "shooting". Not sure about the context, but they were clearly not preparing to swim. Overall a very uncomfortable experience. As a mom with 3 small kids I felt uncomfortable letting my kids play and leaving my stuff unsupervised.

Some of the land the trails cross thru are now private. Homeless people live here as well. Respect each other and safe travels

This is a nice park for talking a walk. It has plenty of grassy area as well. I don't know how many fish are in the pond but I have seen a few. Probably not great for fishing as it is super weedy and home to alot of birds. There are a few play grounds, basketball courts and tennis courts that are fairly new and in nice condition. There is also a trail in the back for hikes/biking.

Always a favorite park for me. Good place, friendly people, you can walk trails, fish, swim in the pool with the cool water slide, or let the kiddos (or yourself) play on the playground.

Nice park on Grand Rapids west side. Ice skating, sledding, fishing, cookouts, local pool, easy parking. The city needs to clean the park however, some areas are full of trash, the water in the spring, summer and fall is dirty.
