I've gotten to see two shows now at the Richmond Triangle Players, and have had a fantastic experience both times. The front of house staff and bartenders and helpful and friendly, and it's a great sized theater without a bad seat in the house. I also love that the theater is peppered with little cocktail tables for drinks. It's conveniently located and easy to grab dinner in Scott's Addition beforehand. I can't wait to check out the next show they do!

This one- woman play about Georgia O'Keefe was so well done, offering a deep dive into her life and experiences.

What an absolutely wonderful experience! I saw head over heels which is my favorite show ever. The cast was incredible and the experience was very intimate. Not a single bad seat. Please experience it for yourself even if you are a casual theatre fan

We saw Scrooge in Rouge and thoroughly enjoyed it. I knew it would be an irreverent version of Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol and it did not disappoint. The acting and the venue were superb. Classic Christmas tunes played before the show began, which was a nice touch for those who still want a bit of a more traditional Christmas as part of the overall experience. I don't know if there are any seats left for the rest of this season's run but highly recommend it for anyone who wants something a bit different for this year's holiday entertainment.

Beautiful and well maintained community theater in the heart of Scott's addition. Recently saw a fantastic production of "head over heels" with music from the go-go's. Tiered seating is small and intimate but the acoustics are quite good. Full bar with reasonable prices if you want some libations before or during the show.

Amazing one woman show. Hilarious, serious, thought-provoking, informative. The actress gave an absolutely stellar performance. Highly recommended!

Google
Extremely funny comedy. Really enjoyed our time the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, the theater was absolutely freezing. The majority of the audience went out side during intermission to warm up. Some people even came back with beach towels, because that's all they had in their car to get warm with.

The Richmond Triangle Players is a phenomenal theater with really unique shows. The actors are all incredible and the shows range from fun and whimsical to serious and dramatic with a firm foot in queer culture and art. If you have an opportunity to see a performance there, leap don't run to go

Yelp
An absolute gem of a theater, I absolutely love RTP! They specialize in productions that not only feature diverse, LGBTQIAA+, gender varied individuals, but also seek out source material that is written by such people as well. It's an incredibly welcoming space--very accessible, with nice, big seats without arms. If you need additional arrangements, the box office is very responsive and happy to assist. The team that works there is very friendly, the bathrooms are clean, the bar is well stocked, and shows are great. Definitely worth a visit--maybe even renting out for a private event!

Yelp
RTP delivers outstanding local theater. Limited seating creates an intimate setting. Production-themed drinks are tasty novelty. With the Noble app you can order your drink ahead and pick it up on the way to your seat without waiting in line.

Yelp
I love this small, intimate theatre and their thoughtful and creative productions. I can't wait to see several shows on this seasons lineup!

Yelp
This theatre is doing some great work. Tonight we saw the first show or their 25th season. The theatre is intimate and only seats 99. I highly recommend sitting in the seats in the back, Rows E, F, and G all have tables. It is lovely sitting in a cabaret type setting.

Yelp
There just aren't words adequate enough to express what this theatre means for RVA. Every production is a work of love. RTP's impact reaches far beyond the audiences who see their shows. Its work helps foster greater understanding and acceptance of the LGBT community and our culture. I've seen dozens of productions at RTP and never once was I not entertained, moved and challenged. It's a treasure.

Yelp
I've been going to shows as part of the season for a few years now. And seen a few shows outside of the season. I generally like the selection of shows. Some have not been my taste, or even offended (like Cloud 9, in which actors swapped race, gender, and age - leaving a white man playing a Black South African, and a pedophile relationship but the child was played by a woman in her 40s). And, the actors are generally good, especially some of the regulars. This isn't broadway, but it's good queer community theatre.

Yelp
What a great local theater. Have seen a couple of productions and attended the 25th anniversary. Fun, intimate venue let's you get right into the production. Friendly staff, all good

Yelp
Just saw Two Boys in a Bed on a Cold Winter's Night here last night. As usual, the theatre is intimate and welcoming. Great atmosphere. I so love the bartender, who makes stiff drinks at a great price. The show itself was about 3.5 stars. The talent was not balanced in this two-man show, one clearly outshined the other (and I don't mean in terms of the full frontal, wink wink). It seems there are audio issues every time I attend a show here -- in one case a power outage, I think and last night, just poor execution. Nevertheless, I love this little diamond in the rough and will continue to be a patron.

Yelp
I've seen three events at RTP this year and have enjoyed 2 of the 3 immensely. The show with Madame was hysterical and I had missed her since I was a young man only to find she was coming back to Richmond. Take Me Out was about a baseball team and the writing was clever while the show moved quickly. Of the 3, Comfort and Joy was good, and the acting from some of the characters was great, but I can't say that of the whole cast. I kept looking at my watch. However I was glad to come and support the theatre which is done so nicely. If you find yourself going to one, you'll get hooked.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I trek from our home in Williamsburg to Richmond multiple times a year specifically to attend Richmond Triangle Players performances. The theater is delightful (small, comfortable, convenient parking, a nice bar, good temperature maintenance, etc) and the performances are always powerful and regularly depict the lives of individuals overcoming discrimination, hate, and public perception. RTP is a gem and I'm happy to support it.
