Rick Wilcox Magic Theater

This was my first visit to the Rick Wilcox Magic Theater and it certainly was not a disappointment. Rick & his wife have such a connection with the audience and his magic tricks are unbelievable. He had audience members join him on stage, including children. I loved seeing the awe and excitement in kids who were just blown away with being part of the magic happening right in front of them. At the end Rick and Susan engaged even further with the audience inviting them to ask questions. It's just a brilliant family show that lasted about 90 minutes. Absolutely loved it.

This magic show was worth every penny! I've seen several magic shows but this one has been the best by far! Highly recommended for your visit to Wisconsin dells! We went Friday night and were in the 4th row. Great show, very entertaining and fun!

This show was AMAZING!!! The magic performances where flawless!! We loved it so much that if they had another show right after the one we just watched we would have bought new tickets and watched it again! Worth every single penny! I cannot recommend this show enough! Buy tickets online and it will save you alittle time.

I've never been to the show before. Growing up it was always something I wanted to do. Now that I'm 40 with a wife and kid (4) we decided to do it. It's a great show! I highly recommend for all ages. It keeps your attention the entire time and Rick is great with the audience, kids and adults. The interaction with the audience is done perfectly. If there's anything you do in the dells make sure going to this show is one of the things to do.

Having been in business since 1991, this show is truly a hidden gem right here in central Wisconsin. I was absolutely blown away by the variety, the energy, and the sheer talent on display. I can’t recommend it enough! This is a must see. Best activity in the Dells. Very professional, fun and interactive. Down to earth good people who love there craft.

What a fantastic show! I admit that I have always said magic isn’t my favorite, but I purchased tickets for my husband for Christmas since he loves it. We took some friends with us. We managed to get front row, so that was an extra bonus! Well, let me tell you…my mind is changed about magic! I loved the show! And so did everyone with us. Rick was funny and entertaining and his magic blew us away. He and his wife Susan have great chemistry on stage. The best part is that any age would enjoy this show. It’s great for families, couples, friend groups, and more! Also concessions are simple and affordable. I highly recommend visiting here when in the Dells!

A lively and mesmerizing show that's fun for the whole family! Lots of opportunities for audience participation. Rick is a wonderful, heartfelt storyteller with a lion tricks up his sleeve!

Has a good size parking lot. Pretty theater. Lots of glitter throughout the show. Cute husband/wife duo show. Magician had a calm demeanor during the whole show but his magic was good! He seemed like a nice guy. I got selected to go on stage which was fun! My reward was a free ticket to Ripleys Believe it or not and the Aquavia lumina show, as well as a free drink at a restaurant. The magic show was definitely entertaining for all ages! The most impressive IMO was getting a helicopter on stage. Fun fun! $50/ticket kind of pricey.

Spectacular show lasts about 1.5 hours of incredible magic tricks and comedy. Definitely a bucket list item!

We had so much fun at this show! It's really great for all ages- we even had some 5 and 6 year olds who enjoyed it. The theater is charming and clean. You sit right up at the stage so you can see the illusions up close. There is a small concession stand for popcorn and treats. Show lasts a little over an hour. I highly recommend!

Awesome show and great performer. We had an issue with tickets back in November and they promptly handled it and made sure we were still able to attend. Great customer service!

This show is only put on a couple of days a week. They have a huge private parking lot with free parking. The theater is cozy and clean. There is really not a bad seat in the house. I recommend getting your tickets early because seating is supposedly assigned by the date of ticket purchase. I will admit that the tickets are a bit pricy and they do not offer any discounts. The theater has a small concession stand and they sell popcorn and magic items. The show started right on time, which is a plus. The show is great family fun and features Rick and his wife Suzan. He does a great job with his magic. My family and I like the appearing helicopter illusion, the flying ball trick and the snow trick. They have about three opportunities for audience participation, so be prepared to raise your hand. They also have a card trick that the entire audience does with cards that are placed on their seat before they arrive. There was an issue with one of the card tricks, as the overhead camera that showed the trick was not turned on, so the audience never saw it. I understand that mistakes do happen, but at $50 a seat, they need to be avoided a bit better. There is an offer that pops up when you check-in here. It is for a free item at the magic shop. When I went to cash it in, no one there had any idea what is was. The referred me to Suzan Wilcox, who did not know where the offer came from and said that it was not them that did it. That created a very uncomfortable interaction and as I was about to leave, they said that they would still honor it and gave me a deck of their cards. I liked the show. It was entertaining. I think that it is a bit pricey though for what you get. The show lasted a little over an hour and at the end of it they have a little Q&A. Rick is a true showman and seems very friendly and personable. My littles are learning magic tricks with their cards as I type this review.

This is a very well done show that delighted our entire family, ages six to 50. This is an experience our kids will remember forever. I'm happy Wisconsin Dells has this level of quality and class

A very enjoyable, fun show! Rick and Suzan are a lot of fun. It was fun to watch the big illusions, as well as the very close up ones. They take volunteers from the audience (mostly kids). Definitely highly recommend!!

We kept thinking about going here and finally did it. We were not disappointed. Great magic show at a reasonable price. We had a great time! I highly recommend this family friendly activity! Great for date night as well.

For kids and adults alike! My partner and I went to the show on a Monday night. We don't have any kids but the show was still great! We're still trying to figure out how they did everything! Happy to support a local family owned business and it truly was worth every cent. We bought tickets at the theater, although you can also buy them online. There are concessions available as well. Parents, be ready to buy your kid his magic set or have strong will not to as you leave! the show had ME wanting a magic set! Overall, a great experience!

Great family fun! Rick and his team keep the show lively. He clearly loves what he does and he's such a likeable guy. The illusions range from traditional to big spectacle, and there's never a dull moment. You'll definitely leave smiling. What more could you ask for?

Our 7 year old kids were pretty awe struck with this show and it has been their favorite part of our vacation this far. The show was very entertaining. The adults liked it as well. I would highly recommend this show and if we ever come back to Wisconsin Dells we will go again. Currently their seating arrangements are decided by order of purchasing. So the longer out you book the more likely you are to get the best seats. We booked several months in advance and our seats were front row and center. Granted it looked like pretty much all seats would be pretty good.

Excellent show! Husband and I took 4 grandkids, boys and girls, our ages 9 to 75. Everyone enjoyed the show. So professional. Really amazing illusions! We are still trying to figure out how they are even possible. Great family fun.

A Fun, Safe Evening of Magic! Just wanted to share what a fun night of entertainment we had at the Rick Wilcox Theater in the Dells. There's nothing better than relaxing and seeing a live performance in person. With everyone's heath and safety in mind, seating is limited and spread throughout the large seating area. The show itself is by far the best in the Midwest! You can feel the excitement in each performance ... Rick and Sue truly love what they are doing. Fun for the whole family ... highly recommended!

This was ahhhmazing and will make you believe in magic. They are entertaining, witty and it is obvious how much Rick loves magic, he seemed as excited to perform as I was to watch. I wish I was going again today.

The BEST date night we've had in awhile! We are a young couple visiting from Salt Lake City and this show was Vegas worthy, but not Vegas prices. Incredible.

Each year we visit the Dells, and each year we make sure to see the show at the Rick Wilcox Theater. This year with COVID concerns, we were relieved to see how much attention to detail went into keeping the audience and performers well, while still delivering a very entertaining evening. The theater is kept spotless, distancing is taken seriously, and we felt very safe. Some businesses seem to be keeping things simple during the pandemic, but this show delivers the same punch it always has; the effects are amazing and the performers top-notch. It's so fun to watch Rick and Susan; they obviously love performing so much, and they've included some of their largest and most beautiful illusions this year. It's great to be swept up in the show and escape the outside world for a while. Highly recommended!

I was blown away by this spectacular performance. This is not your canned magic show. Expect comedy, candor and confusion. My son kept saying "how? what? wow!" Rick's congeniality captures young and old alike. He incorporates audience participation. This is the perfect family outing as he relishes amazing the younger generation. Susan is not to be dismissed. She is the glitter glue that holds the show together. Their friendly banter is endearing. She plays a role far greater the. A mere "assistant." We look forward to seeing the show again. And the popcorn. Definitely need to get more popcorn

This show was great!!! I was hesitant because of the ticket prices, but it was worth every penny. The kids were talking about the show the rest of our entire trip. Definitely recommend, it's a high quality show with some laughs mixed in too!!

My family and I (all adults), had an amazing time at the show! Not only are the illusions so real (we couldn't figure out a single one), Rick and Susan are hilarious on stage. They have great crowd participation, for kids and adults. I would highly recommend it to all age groups. Definitely a highlight to our Dells trip!

We just left the 4:30pm show which was Fabulous. My husband and I have been to the Dells numerous times over the years but this was the first time we attended this show. The husband and wife team were great and the magic was not only displayed in their performance as great illusionist but the love that they have for one another. They were very engaging with the young as well as the older members of the audience. I strongly recommend that when you visit the dells make sure that this is one of your must see stops.

My family (Wife, Son-11 and daughter-9) had another fabulous time at the Rick Wilcox Magic Theater. We ordered tickets a couple weeks in advance and ended up in the front row! As other reviews have pointed out you will have a great view no matter where you sit, and while that is true, being up close really made a huge difference to us. I feel like being in the middle section gives you a better vantage point for all the magic. You cannot pick your seats in advance but ordering early will likely put you in closer seats. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The theater is comfortable and super clean. At the concessions you can get three items for $10. Not bad at all. The audience all had a blast that night. Many people got to come up and participate including my wife. Tons of laughs and mind blowing magic. Days later you will still be wondering how they did that. Some say the show is like what you would see in Vegas except that I've been to those shows and this is truly better. It is more intimate, with more audience participation. You feel like you are a welcome guest and not just a spectator in a big crowd. Rick and Suzan are very genuine and have amazing chemistry. You can meet them after the show, chat a little, take a picture or get an autograph. I feel that everyone at Rick Wilcox really goes out of their way to make sure your experience is memorable and your business is appreciated. There were a lot of kids at this Friday show and to see the looks of amazement on their faces was priceless. The awe and amazement is really what magic is all about, and I think if you treat yourself or your family to this experience you will not regret it.

What a show. Rick says he has been doing this show for 20 some years but his exuberance is like it is his first year. Terrific show Vegas level Made me feel like a kid again. Comfortable theatre and everything exceeded our expectations

I've always passed by his billboards, signs, and the theater whenever we would visit the Dells, and I don't know why it was just now that my family and I have decided to come and see his show! I should've came and watched a looong time ago. Rick is really good, as well as his graceful assistant/ his wife. The show is very kid friendly and there's quite a lot of audience participation and it was great. Tricks and illusions were very impressive and still surprises you no matter what age you are. I highly recommend this show when you come visit Wisconsin Dells. AAA+++ all the way!

Update: This show was incredible! We have 4 boys ranging from 9 to 18 and they were ALL so captivated by the entire show! There aren't enough stars to show how awesome this show is! We can't wait to come back next year! We highly recommend! Nicest people ever! I totally messed up my order and they were so gracious and helpful! I have not seen the show yet, but have tickets in July and am already so impressed with the professionalism and character of the Rick Wilcox Theater employees! Can't wait to see the show and update my review once I have done so!

Was a excellent show. Amazing and mind boggling magic tricks. Incorporates the audience. He gives out a free helicopter ride to someone in the audience every show so that's a pretty good. Is great for all ages. It is crazy entertaining and has great comedy.

The only thing in the Dells that's truly worth the $, not a cheap tourist trap but Vegas quality, marvelous show put on Rick and his wife. I won't spoil and tell what kind of tricks they do but I loved every minute of it and came out of there like, "What the hell just happened?" The kids came out with wide bright eyes and smiles. Young or old, this is a must do/see in the Dells!

Best show I've ever been, I enjoyed every minute of it. Cool stuff you will see there if you go, I guarantee that you will like it!

This man is tooo tooo amazing !! Rick and Susan had put up a great show and we had a lot of fun. Rick had a wonderful personality and kept his audience interested in the show throughout. It's a must go specially if you have kids. One tip is to book tickets as early as possible because they mark your seats and you don't wAnna be seated in the back. Also another turnoff was the fact that no water fountain was inside so all you were left to buy is over expensive 4 dollars small water bottle. The popcorn was also way too overpriced.

Great illusions, but basically the same illusions performed three years ago on my last visit, right down to the climactic ending. I won't return until the show has been revamped with different illusions. Much too expensive, in my opinion, to return and see the same thing. But for first timers who can afford it, a good show.

I couldn't recommend this show more than I already do. The tickets are a bit steep, but so worth it! The kids ages 6, 13, and 15 absolutely loved it! Rick and Susan are comical and very friendly/welcoming. The illusions were neat also! They do a meet and greet after the show which is awesome! They're also very interactive with the crowd which is even better, it shows me they really appreciate people paying and going to watch them. Very humbling. I am so happy we made the choice to watch their show while we were in Wisconsin Dells! Definitely a must see.

Canceled show and REFUSE to refund tickets. Responded "Wow" to my email request for a refund when I declined to accept an alternate date show. I live 7 hours away. I can't just reschedule. Super unprofessional.

We strongly recommend that when you visit the Dells, you see this show. Not only are the illusions unsolvable, but Rick and Sue Wilcox are very funny. The amount of audience participation is superb, and the added touch of giving away free gifts for agreeing to participate? Wonderful!! When we come back to the Dells with more family, we will definitely be taking them to this show!

The show was amazing!!!!! I had low expectations going in and did not no if it was worth the price. But a few tricks in and I was blown away. 10/10 would recommend!!!!!

Me and the wife took our daughter to the show. We had a great time Rick took guest up on stage to help out with some of the acts. I been to other magic shows and nothing tops Rick Wilcox's show. And after the show Rick and his wife went out to sign autographs and meet the audience which was so cool. I would go again and tell people and recommend his show to other people two thumbs up

Great show especially for kids. Some classic tricks with some new--the couple does an awesome job. Lots of charisma! I definitely recommend this show while visiting the Dells!

If I could give zero stars I would - I am legitimately wondering if the previous reviewers got paid, or simply saw a COMPLETELY different show. Not only was the staff absolutely terrible and rude, but this was the WORST thing I've ever watched in my life. Left in the middle of the show. I am disgusted that I paid $50 per ticket - anything more than $10 is wayyyy too much. I saw better magic on a street corner in the Dells than I did here. Wishing that if this is a show for CHILDREN (which it shouldn't be since Rick and his wife were basically eye effing each other on stage the entire show - vomit) that they would market it as such - such a waste of my hard earned money. Will be taking every step to get my money back!! HORRIBLE - ONLY MEDIOCRE IF LESS THAN 8 YEARS OLD!!!

Such a fun show, definitely recommend it for anybody age 7 and up. Littles are welcomed but I'm not sure they will "get it" enough. My daughter absolutely loved it.

Some of the same tricks, but really only the good ones. A LOT Of the show was new. I don't know how long Rick and his wife are going to be able to put on this same kind of show. It takes so much stamina and everything else. They always look incredibly young, so maybe there is some real magic they're playing with, hehe. However I hope that they put on their show forever, but realistically they won't. So I recommend you go now before they retire. I'm Serious. Trust me on this. It's a Vegas quality magic show.

So I was visiting my cousins in Wisconsin, and while at the Mt. Olympus water and theme park I coincidentally saw one of my friends from Chicago. As we were "catching up" on our adventures in Wisconsin he happened to mention that he watched an awesome magic show the night before and recommended I check it out. Now, I HAD to listen to him because he himself is an aspiring magician, amongst a multitude of things, so that same night I popped the idea to my boyfriend and off we were! When I called ahead of time to purchase the tickets a few hours in advance the lady on the phone was super nice and in turn the same lady was lovely at the box office (little did I know that the whole time I had been dealing with the lovely Mrs. Wilcox and Rick's assistant herself!) I don't want to give away too much so I can't really say much about the cool knicks and knacks that I encountered at their theatre, even though they promise the show to be different every night, I could however tell you that I was picked to go on stage and make a table float! ahahahaha it was super fun and having bought tickets for the front row I expected to be picked on. Right after my little "act" Rick gave me a free ticket to the Tommy Bartlett Best Show on Water, unfortunately it was for the next night and that's when we had to leave to get back home. Regardless I thought it was extremely sweet because he in turn gave all of the volunteers little prizes! And last but not least if I havent peaked your interest yet, here comes the kick; you will NOT stop either laughing or aw-ing in amazement all night! I give this two thumbs up and 5 stars! PS. He is also now my friend on facebook! :} how cool is that!?
