Having never considered dining at a skin mill, but hearing echos, a shiny ticket looking high-gloss finished advertisement was thrust infront of me -- and I took it. I always take those handouts that get flicked in our zone(s) while walking past particular corners of Midtown.
Security took us to our table, his welcoming and attentive interactions with us spoke of a man of class and dignity.
The ladies that approached were darlings, but dropped the "do you want a dance?" question a bit too soon -- it arrived -- much too quickly for my taste, which partially damaged the sincerity and believability of anything that was too follow.
A lovley brunch menu with two soup choices, two salads, one entree and a desert option or two of which I cared not, as the question of substitutions were given affirmation with just a quick ask.
Asparagus Potato Soup was rather average, salty, coolish, unfriendly -- get the French Onion Soup instead.
Although we sat and ate in relative complete darkness which is new too me, I really enjoyed something about dining in lack of light and was implemented at home for dinner minus the lights and music and deep bass.
Cesear Salad selection, a bit light on the sardines unfortunately, present but low on the flavor profile - but a very enjoyable salad none the less.
The cut of the steak evades me, guess it was a Strip -- get it?
A nice piece of meat for the price, a little tough yet certainly not over seasoned and cooked prooerly.
Home made mashed potatoes accompanied the beef and with a ramekin of thick and hearty gravy, its a wonderful brunch with very pleasing entertainment.
