There was a short wait before we were seated by the host. A table was offered at the back patio but too warm and felt isolated. We decided to stay indoors keeping us cooler with the AC on. Nice indoor atmosphere. I don't thinking I've ever seen the cafe ever not busy. Tables are usually full and staff are everywhere tending to their tables and work areas. Our server Fernanda was attentive and friendly. Our order arrived, along with fresh orange juice drinks. Delicious. We could not be more happier with our breakfast/lunch choices. I repeat, delicious. In past years, I had only tried Rico's breakfast and lunch menu. My experience has always been positive and favorable. A must try 👍🏼

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely fantastic experience at Rico’s Café in Mazatlán! We stopped in for a sweet treat and were blown away. The Oreo frappes were hands down the best I’ve ever had—rich, creamy, and perfectly blended. I also tried the Café de la Olla on the recommendation of our amazing server, Wendy, and I’m so glad I did. It was incredible—warm, spiced just right, and full of flavor. We finished with the Naked Strawberry and New York Cheesecake—both were top notch. You can tell they take pride in their desserts. Add in the friendly, attentive service, and this place is a must-visit if you’re in Mazatlán. Highly recommend!

Excellent food, great coffee, attentive service! We will return. This is the best breakfast we’ve enjoyed since arriving in Mazatlan 3 weeks ago.

Google
The lattes could have been hotter otherwise I would have given 5 stars. The staff spoke English and if that’s important to you then you should consider this place. Nice pastries. I had the carrot cake and it was very moist and delicious. 😋

Google
Great place. Breakfasts are awesome, but not just that, coffee is great, bakery, and it is open late. They have a little brewery, so it is a good place to try a beer in the afternoon when the heat is going up here in Mazatlan. The staff is great and friendly.

Google
Very bright and welcoming restaurant. The staff all speak English fluently and were very attentive and considerate. The food was great. Introduced me to Sinaloense meats like chilorio and machaca. Everything felt very fresh and clean and well made. The coffee was good too. Will be a regular stop for me when I come back to Mazatlan.

Google
I’m a coffee snob from Seattle, and this place really knows how to make good quality Chemex coffee, served w a side of buttery shortbread. Their regional, international and seasonal food options are all mouthwatering and we had a hard time choosing. Got the Sinaloa breakfast plate and Huevos Rancheros, eggs cooked to our specifications. The service was superb, Aurora was very attentive and made our experience far above par.

Yelp
This spot is great for breakfast and won't break your wallet! Freshly squeezed juices, delicious coffee and fantastic breakfast! The red chilaquiles are not spicy at all and have great flavor. They bring a dish with warm sauce to pour right over the top of your chilaquiles. The pastries are all fresh and delicious.

Yelp
Delicious food, great service and nice ambiance. In walking distance of most hotels. Cute patio if there's room to eat out there. Call ahead for larger parties.

Yelp
Visited Mazatlán for the first time & was told by a local friend that this cafe was really good, so of course we had to try it! The drinks had a good sweetness to them, the desserts were SO yummy & rich in flavor, and not pictured, but the jalapeño cheddar cream cheese bagel sandwich was so good. The staff gives good recommendations when you ask & they were very friendly. We visited Rico's about 3 times during our stay & highly recommend to all visitors!

Yelp
Coffees were good but didn't have many options for food on the menu like i originally thought. Quick service though!

Yelp
Stop eating at the hotels and run to Rico's! This is the best food in Mazatlan. Fresh, healthy and full of flavor. The service is fantastic especially Paco's friendly professional service. You will miss out if you skip the pastry case. I've not had a cinnamon roll so fresh. The atmosphere is fun and the plants are gorgeous. Manager Lalo reflects the kind heartedness of Mazatlan. I cannot wait to return.

Yelp
Nice, clean cafe with a large selection of breakfast foods, pastries, and coffees. We liked the coffees a lot. The food was good but not great. We had the sopes mañaneros, huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos, crepes, and cinnamon rolls. Free wifi was a plus!

Yelp
We came here to get some work done with their WiFi and eat brunch and drink sugary coffee drinks. We did all of the above with full satisfaction.. The portions are on the smaller side but I felt that the prices reflected that. We got the benedict and the huevos rancheros -- both were delicious. It took a while to be served, but our waitress was very sweet once she came.

Yelp
Went in for breakfast since I kept hearing this was the place for breakfast. I got the breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint. The orange juice wasn't my favorite. The iced coffee was pretty good as well. Definitely a place to check out.

Yelp
We walked here from our resort for breakfast after eating at Mary's a few days prior. Rico's is Sweet Baby Jesus yummy!!!! We had: waffles, eggs, bacon- crisp, sweet, fluffy, a hint of vanilla Rico's Rancheros - eggs over easy over machaca and black beans, hint of spice, great balance of flavor French Toast, eggs, bacon - thick. Fluffy, light, not too sweet, yummy balance of cinnamon and sugar, bacon has a bit of a unique taste which made us prefer Mary's bacon over Rico's, but I can say that Rico's bacon is meatier a s they give you a bit more than Mary's does. A side of potatoes - well seasoned Fresh squeezed OJ Chai Frappe - deelish. All for $20 U.S.D. Wish we would've come here from day one. I would've eaten breakfast here every morning had I known how yummy it is. Service is a little slow, but not a real issue. Great for people watching along Calle Camaron. Walking distance from nearby resorts.

Yelp
Not for a large family, if you're 2-3 you'll be seated otherwise your party will be split. Also, be prepared to wait... and wait. Your food will likely be ready for tomorrow if you ordered today. This place needs to be more organized.

Yelp
My wife and i discovered this gem while on vacation in Mazatlan. The coffee is probably the best that i have enjoyed in my 78 years on this earth . I ordered huevos rancheros which was delicious. My wife had lox and bagels which was an unexpected treat in Mazatlan . Finding this awesome coffee shop with its friendly employees makes me want to move to Mazatlan Frank Lieberman

Yelp
A lovely coffee shop located across from out hotel. Americanos are 28 peso so about $1.50. The coffee is gooood and staff speak a good amount of English.

Yelp
We always make sure to stay near this coffee shop when we visit Mzt. We love it for breakfast and just a quick morning bite. The service can be a bit slow, but they always have a smile and great attitude when they serve. The frappes are recommended. Make sure to be very specific on how you want your coffee, sometimes the language barrier can cause confusion. But they are very quick to fix something if you're not satisfied.

Yelp
Love this place. Some of the BEST coffee. Great outdoor seating and the servers are very sweet.

Yelp
I really like the salads and sandwiches and tea frappe blended drinks at Rico's. It is listed under coffee shop but it is good any time and stays open in the evening too.

Yelp
My favorite coffee place in Mazatlan! Beans roasted on site. Knowledgeable baristas. Terrific paninis, bagels, breakfasts, and of course we LOVE the coffee!!!! Enrique Ochoa Ramos is so very good at what he does, and his coffee creations are the work of a skilled artist!

Victoria K.

Yelp
Love love Rico's. Everything I've eaten in two of their Mazatlan locations has been great. Another big bonus---breakfast is served all day!! Staff is terrific!!
