Ride the Walls

I was very pleased with the bike I rented from Ride the Walls bike rental, and the service. I was able to rent a cool-looking lightweight bike that was perfect for exploring Lucca. the man who helped me was very knowledgable about the city and very helpful, and I even got to keep the bike a little later, with just a text message. The shop is centrally located, and not far from the linear park that runs atop the old walls. Very good experience. Nice people.

2 stars for the nice person manning the rental location. BUT, he charged us for a full hour when we were only gone for 30 minutes. We returned so quickly because one of the bikes had handle bar alignment so bad that the handlebars had to be turned almost completely for the wheel to remain straight. Handlebars were also loose. A major safety issue that we kindly brought up upon our return and the response we got was “well, these bikes are used a lot.” Disappointed to say the least.

Hiring scooters with my family of 4 with 18 year old twins from was easy & cheap for 1 hour. Only had a short stay in Lucca & was a brilliant & hilarious way to explore Lucca. We loved it! Would highly recommend this business.

We had the best time riding ebikes from Lucca to the sea. The views and experience were so incredible. Not for the faint of heart, so glad we had that peddle assist especially going up the mountains on the way back. Thank you for the magnificent memories!

So fun and super easy to use scooters. I am 50 and mastered in a flash. We went all around the wall on the boardwalk. Great way to se the city. So fun with my family. We rented six scooters. Owner was very nice and accommodating.

A very nice way to explore the walls and town! The asphalt on the wall makes for a very comfortable ride. The owner speaks English which was very convenient. Also because of the size and speed (about 20km/h) it’s cut out for driving around the small streets, and get around fast, even when it’s busy. 5/5!

We had a wonderful time riding the electric scooters on the wall around Lucca. The scooters were in great shape and the owner was very kind. He suggested we visit a garden where they had an exhibit with some classic cars and motor cycles. He was also very responsive on WhatsApp. This experience was one of our highlights in Lucca!

Fantastic bike tour around the city! Super nice ride around the city. The guy we talked to inside was a very nice man who was very understanding and helpful. This is a must see experience. Best way to find your way around the city. Now I know Lucca so much better ! They provided us with so many suggestions.
