Rifugio Sapienza

We visited after a quad excursion and really enjoyed everything we had. The children's menu was extensive and the portions are generous. Service is very efficient and the views are breathtaking 😍 the tris of arancini is a must-try!

Good parking arrangements. Park, then use one of the parking machines to pay the time you are likely to stay. I paid €5 for half day (6 hours). Need to type in your car registration number, then put the printed ticket on your dashboard.

Easy to locate and very easy to check in. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was basic but had everything that was needed. Location to cable car is excellent and Mt Etna tours were available. |Excellent hotel for self guided or guided tours visitors

The rooms main door was broken, so we could not lock it. They told us, there is no need for changing the roon. It was OK as it was... Walls are super bad. You can hear literally all from the other rooms. They wanted to charge us twice for the city tax. The drinks are very expensive, but the food is okay. Its a refugio... nothing more. We could not drop the luggage at the reception. They told us to leave them in our car. So be aware of scams. It was okay for one night.

A clean place with plenty of space for parking. Go early morning if you're planning on taking the cable car. Once the buses get there, the queues are terrible. Also, the top of the volcano is more like to be visible early morning.

This is the place where you can book your tickets to the Etna, especially the cable car and the Jeep-busses going up to 3000m There is a souvenir shop and clean toilets. Advice: try to get here before 10. The earlier the better… sometimes there are huge queues….

Stopped here for a coffee before visiting Mount Etna on the cable car and 4x4 ride - 80 euros all in including a very knowledgeable volcanologist guide. The ladybirds venture up to produce their offspring!

We hired quad bikes and had a rough ride on volcanic rocks, after we took the cable car up and got great photos of the smoke from Etna

Good service, great food. Enjoyed the mixed fried appetizer which had a variety of delicious choices. My Etna pizza was delicious and tasted so fresh. This location is right in the Mt Etna touristy area, but was easy to get a table. Great prices as well.

Great food. Great service. Perfect feast for hiking a mountain. Thank you for your hospitality. House wine is the best. Mushroom ravioli was delicious.
