We stayed here overnight during a hiking trip but were unfortunately disappointed with the accommodation standards and service.
We’ve stayed in many mountain huts and alpine rifugios in Switzerland, France, and Italy, and are used to basic conditions – but this hut is in serious need of renovation, especially the bathrooms and bedrooms.
Cleanliness was poor: the toilet and shower areas were not properly cleaned, and there was visible mold in the shower room. The drainage didn’t work, and the shower water was far too hot with no way to adjust the temperature.
Noise during the night: quiet hours from 22:00–07:00 were respected by the guests, but not by the staff, who continued to serve and talk loudly in the restaurant well past 11 p.m. There’s no door between the restaurant and the sleeping area, so the noise was very disruptive. We brought this up several times, but nothing changed.
Accommodation: our private room was worn and in need of maintenance.
Service: some of the staff were kind and helpful, others less so. The overall experience felt inconsistent.
View: absolutely stunning – the highlight of the visit.
In summary: the location is beautiful, and the restaurant seems to be popular with day visitors. But for overnight guests, the overall experience was let down by the noise, hygiene, and outdated facilities.
