Location was amazing! The views are great. The rooms are claustrophobic and crammed, but just try not to hang out in them. The dinner has the best venison mushroom pasta I've ever had. (And I'm not usually a venison fan.) But just delicious. Love that the breakfast has real espresso drinks included. The showers are a mess, they kind of drain all over the bathroom and you have to pay for each shower. Oh well, hopefully helps people not waste water. There were some weird extra charges for like 40 euro on my sister's card after we left that we could never figure out, so she's been emailing to try to fix that. We paid cash for the wine and extra croissant before dinner. Overall, really good experience and great location. This is a BIG place though and doesn't quite have a "family run" vibe. But good chefs! Not my personal fav, but def not the worst on AV1.

We stayed here overnight during a hiking trip but were unfortunately disappointed with the accommodation standards and service. We’ve stayed in many mountain huts and alpine rifugios in Switzerland, France, and Italy, and are used to basic conditions – but this hut is in serious need of renovation, especially the bathrooms and bedrooms. Cleanliness was poor: the toilet and shower areas were not properly cleaned, and there was visible mold in the shower room. The drainage didn’t work, and the shower water was far too hot with no way to adjust the temperature. Noise during the night: quiet hours from 22:00–07:00 were respected by the guests, but not by the staff, who continued to serve and talk loudly in the restaurant well past 11 p.m. There’s no door between the restaurant and the sleeping area, so the noise was very disruptive. We brought this up several times, but nothing changed. Accommodation: our private room was worn and in need of maintenance. Service: some of the staff were kind and helpful, others less so. The overall experience felt inconsistent. View: absolutely stunning – the highlight of the visit. In summary: the location is beautiful, and the restaurant seems to be popular with day visitors. But for overnight guests, the overall experience was let down by the noise, hygiene, and outdated facilities.

This was a party during the day and completely tranquil at night. Great view, great food. Enjoyable staff. Dorms only had 3 bathrooms for all guests, often times not enough, leaving a wait.

We had our lunch here during our trip to Cinque Torri. The meal was served fast. My complain is that the dishes presented as "Wiener Schnitzel" was not authentic as it was cooked from boned chicken instead of veal. Perhaps simply and correctly naming dish as Perhaps simply and correctly calling the dish "chicken schnitzel" would be more honest. Not all tourists are mindless consumers and some may seek for authenticity.

The worst dining experience in Italy terrible service and disappointing food I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared. The staff were extremely unfriendly and visibly irritated throughout our visit. They ignored us, told us to “wait” without any explanation, and continued chatting among themselves while avoiding any effort to serve us. Despite the restaurant not being busy, they refused to take our order for a long time. What was more disturbing was the discriminatory behavior I witnessed. The staff raised their voices at Asian customers while responding kindly and politely to white tourists in the exact same situation. It was shocking and deeply upsetting. As for the food: the steak was burnt and had a bad odor — completely inedible. The pasta was flavorless, tasting only of flour. The only thing remotely acceptable was the hot dog. It’s incredibly disappointing to have such a negative experience in such a beautiful location. This place offered the worst service and food I’ve encountered in Italy. I strongly advise others to avoid it.

We checked (me + 2 kids) in last minute and were more than pleased with everything: kind service, wonderful food, the expected basic refuge accommodation. The dinner was of fantastic quality (tagliolini with venison and fingerli mushrooms as well as thepork with bacon patatoes and again the fingerli musrooms). Breakfast offered a huge buffet of very good quality again, we did not get hungry until in the afternoon. So i'm personally surprised abut the negative comments. Bethrooms were basic but ok. Dorms were also ok, only very very warm at night, the window could hardly open to air the room. Other people shared the same opinion in the morning. Nice to have individual sockets at each bed. We overlooked that also towels weer offered, we should have used our own small wet towel ;-)

After a beautiful, peaceful and long ultra modern Gondolier ride through the trees and mountains of Cortina, and a chair lift, we reached this spectacular location. It is simply incredible and breathtaking. The views blew our minds xThe food and beverages were perfect family style hearty fare and the whole joyous dining experience made us so happy. This is a must if you visit Cortina and love to ski.

I was there only for a meal and it was the best meal I had after arriving in the Dolomites for a couple of days. The violet pasta with bacon is honestly mind blowing. Staff is super friendly. Views are good.

Yelp
We only stopped here for breakfast as we were just starting our AV1 hike and needed to get moving, but the 360 views from the refugio are absolutely incredible! Love the outdoor deck at the restaurant and the chairs outside for enjoying the views. I'd definitely stay here if I had the chance to come back as there are lots of trails surrounding the refugio for day hikes around Cinque Torri.

Yelp
Exceptional view across the Dolomites combined with exceptional food. Eating there feels like being in a top-class restaurant on the top of the world! And plenty of chances to burn the excess calories getting there & back so that you don't have to feel guilty should you eat too much!
