Very friendly staff! Fantastic ice cream! Reasonable prices for things you might have forgotten- I was personally grateful for a bottle of lotion, as Denali air is DRY. The socks we got were so comfy and they stayed up though hikes. The laundry was great- at many laundry facilites, it feels grungy, and this could so easily be the case in a spot with lots of hikers, but everything felt clean. Wash and dry were $2 each. We went on a walk down a path while we waited, which was really nice. Bathrooms are also very clean and well maintained.

Very friendly front desk staff - there is a nice little shop with a ton of souvenirs as well as essential goods needed for camping. There is a small frozen/refrigerated goods section in the store as well. They also sell food and snacks, including hot pizza for $28. Their huckleberry ice cream is perhaps the best flavor of ice cream I’ve ever tasted.

Great staff. Has frozen meats, microwave oven, hot drinks, snacks. Free wifi and power outlets to charge ur phone or laptop. There's also a coin operated laundromat. But for me, the $4.50 hot bath is the best bang for the buck. Pay the cashier in exchange for a bear shaped token to operate the hot shower for 10 minutes. At Riley Park you also have cellular signal.

Nice place, convient place to grab your camping essentials. They have frozen food, beer and showers! What else do you need? This is also the spot to stop to check into the campground.

Convenient location to the campground. You do pay for the convenience but it's worth it. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area.

I visited Denali when I was in Alaska in September 2019. Cute little store! It is a bit overpriced, but they have a lot of stuff you might need, including food, coffee, and souvenirs. The lady at the RV desk was accommodating and helpful. The older gentleman (didn't catch his name) behind the store counter was incredibly kind, the younger guy who worked there couldn't be bothered to say hello back to me, and the middle-aged guy just threw my change on the counter.

If you want to buy an Annual Pass, you have to go to the Visitors Center first. Very helpful staff & management here - they can make things happen! Also, insider information-the bus tours actually leave from one of the four "hotels/chalets" outside the park. They may can work a deal for you to be picked up at the Visitors Center instead, if you are rolling in with a rented RV and a multi-night stay. We had to split our party of 4 in half to do the tour, but it beats traveling 1500 miles and not getting to experience the heart of what you traveled to see! Beer, eggs, cheese, Cokes, stoves, TShirts, ice cream, coffee, etc. are all sold here. This place caters to the campers, hikers and the tourist here.

Showers, firewood and most items are overpriced. Showers were very dirty, doors wouldn't lock, some token machines were broken, and floors were covered in water. Was expecting better as the rest of the park is beautiful and very well kept.

Yelp
Nice place to take a shower or purchase little necessities while camping. And if you get hungry and need a bite before a bus comes those darn pre made pre packaged burgers in the iceboxes there are extremely tasty for a premade. I was blown away. Ballpark burgers I believe was the brand. Super nice employees working the place. Total thumbs up!

Yelp
Great spot in the park. About a 10-15 min walk from the bus depot / registration or from the train station/visitor station/bus stop. You can also take the riley creek shuttle. They have food, ice cream, coffees, souvenirs, laundry (2.00ea wash or dry, and showers (7a to 1030p) This is the best place to buy things you forgot in the park. You can also buy the cheapest meal here, frozen footlong beef and bean burrito for $5

Yelp
This place makes camping here a complete cinch. From being able to purchase anything last minute that one might have OOPS! forgotten to bring along, to ordering an espresso, to scoops of Dreyer's ice cream out of a case.. even ice cream bars!!! this place aims to spoil. Free WIFI everywhere around the Mercantile. Lots of things to purchase.. cute souvenirs included. Maps of Denali trails, Bear, Wolf, and Caribou loops are within minutes walk to this centerpiece. PS Showers here are from 07-22 $5 for 10 minutes, which includes a towel.

Yelp
Prior to arriving here for your camping spot, DO NOT CALL THE 1-800 number listed on their website. Because let me tell you, it's not a person that works here. I know this because a Friday after work, we took the drive up only to find out they were out of locations and only open to the reservations already made. If you call the 1-800 number, you will be informed that ALL spots on the grounds are first come. When really just Riley Creek Campgrounds are first come. And at 10pm, we were not about to take a mile hike with all of our gear in the dark. Being so draining from work, this was the last thing we really wanted to hear. Their saving grace? They really do have a ton of stuff available in their shop, their workers continued to apologize about the misunderstanding, and THEY HAVE WI-FI! (Perfect for looking at reviews of OTHER campsites ... kidding, but not.) Wish we could've stayed here considering it was so close to our next days adventure through the park.

Yelp
The store is great and has almost anything you could've possibly forgotten, however it is (as expected) pretty pricey. They sell some alcohol, food, camping essentials, firewood, souvenirs, the list goes on and on. This is also where you can check in for your campsites throughout the park. While we were there in June, they were giving away gifts if you spent over a certain amount, so try to plan ahead for every purchase you might need to make and lump them together to get the bonus.
