Rimondi Boutique Hotel, an SLH Hotel

We had an amazing time on Crete and loved every moment of our 10 day stay. The hotel and its staff played a big role in that. The location is perfect, the place is beautiful, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff - what can I say about the staff? Nothing was too much for them. My daughter had forgotten her laptop on the transfer bus from the airport and they arranged for it to be brought back to the hotel. Not only did this involve numerous phone calls; as the hotel is in a pedestrian zone the driver had to be met in a particular location for the handover. They did this for us so we could go about our day. Amazing! The rooms were made up whilst we had breakfast, my daughter insists the G&T she had in the evening was the best, we were given tips on what beaches to go to, dinner reservations were made for us. In fact, the service had started before we arrived. A couple of weeks before our arrival the hotel had booked an organised day trip to Samaria Gorge for us as well as a rental car. A big thank you to the four wonderful people at reception and everyone else who looked after us and helped make this a great holiday!

Ideally located in a pedestrian area of the old town the hotel is close to restaurants, the beach (5 mins walk) and tourist attractions. Rooms/suites are split between two old historic buildings and are extremely spacious and tastefully decorated. The hotel has two small pools one of which, is very much a plunge pool. All the staff are extremely friendly and very attentive. The buffet breakfast was both varied and plentiful - and very nice to be able to sit in the courtyard to enjoy it. Our room (302) was at street level and adjacent to the narrow pedestrian street (Xanthoudidou). The room comprised a sitting room, bedroom and a small en suite bathroom. The room was great but, at night, we could hear the noise from the restaurants down the street and also people walking by up until around 2 am. A really nice touch was the welcoming bottle of Raki and sweet treat plate in our room on arrival. Overall - the hotel was perfect for us and great to be in the centre of the old town.

This is the second time that we have stayed at Rimondi. On the first visit the hotel exceeded our expectations and on the second it certainly didn't disappoint. | Our room, the Master Suite, was extremely comfortable and had everything that we needed. The hotel is in an excellent location for walking into the centre of town and to choose from one of the many nearby restaurants. The managment, reception and dining room team were all first class and could not have been more helpful.|The only area that could be improved is the training of the bar staff. Three times in as many days we walked out of the bar as there was either no staff present or they walked past us and ignored us.|This aside we really look forward to returning to Rimondi before too long.

Exceptional staff very polite and courteous. Real Greek hospitality from the beginning to the end. We booked a room last minute for our wedding anniversary and paid a little extra for room 206 with a nice balcony and city views that are breathtaking. The place was roomy with a sitting area and a nice balcony with sunbeds and table . The room and bathroom was clean and there was complementary coffee / bottle water / tea and a welcome drink with a snack. |The breakfast was amazing near the pool with a highlight on the buffet the real honeycomb. I loved the stay even though the building can use a renovation since it is a historic palace but not done recently. It is well kept but will need some work soon. The common areas are uptodate . The best part is that you can sleep with the window open and you can hear the birds early in the morning. It is very quiet for being in the historic center next to restaurants and bars.

We’ve just had a delightful 3 night stay at this beautiful hotel in a stunning room with a mezzanine floor, providing us separate sleeping and lounging areas, overlooking the courtyard pool. We were very kindly upgraded by the hotel at no extra cost as we were celebrating a special occasion. All the staff are very friendly, attentive and courteous. Breakfast was plentiful - there is a traditional buffet of continental offerings plus freshly made eggs to order. Its location right in the heart of old town is ideal - you are perfectly situated to enjoy the bars, restaurants, shops, beach, marina etc. We had a fabulous stay and wish to thank all the staff at Rimondi for helping make our holiday so pleasurable and memorable.

We stayed at two rooms - a family of four - one on each side of the hotel. The Estate room (no 2) with pool view has a lot of personality and is highly recommended. The other room was also nice though. The staff are very attentive and smiling - at the breakfast, by the pool, the cleaners or the reception that helps with really good sightseeing advice. The hotel has a romantic and historic atmosphere and sits quite perfectly located to enjoy old town Rethymnon.

Just returned from this truly amazing hotel all the staff and management went over and above. I had a medical issue whilst there and the staff were excellent and continued to ask every day how I was feeling. The cleaning staff were really helpful and rooms always spotless. I asked for a room with walk in shower and on a lower floor all of my requests were met. Loved it so much rebooked for 2026. Breakfast was served in the Palazzo courtyard and was plentiful. Excellent position for local restaurants.

A stylish hotel in the centre of the old town, a calm oasis just steps from numerous shops and restaurants. Service from the friendly hotel staff was exemplary at all times. Breakfast was very extensive, with buffet and cooked-to-order options. Our spacious high-ceilinged room, with a mezzanine level bedroom and a large well-appointed living area and bathroom, looked out onto a beautiful courtyard pool. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel!|
