Rincón de la Vieja Volcano

We visited Rincón de la Vieja during our visit to Costa Rica. We purchased one of the tour packages which was the best decision we made. We had one of the best tour guides. We had a small group and had an excellent experience. The park is full of wonderful plants, flowers, birds and animals and our guide knew all the great spots for seeing them. We also got to see monkeys and wonderful water falls. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend a visit.

We did a tour/day of fun here that included zip lining, horseback riding, tubing, mud baths and hot springs. It was a great day, everyone was nice, professional and safe! Good times!

Forest bath a short drive from Liberia. A unique gentle hike experience on the Pailas trail. La Cangreja and Catarata Escondida trails are a must for experienced hikers.

Another unforgettable experience at one of Costa Rica's majestic active volcanoes, where the air was quiet and misty, punctuated by the roar of bubbly lava.

Certainly glad we came here. Managed to add at least two species of monkey to our 2018 spotting list, and countless species of birds, most of which remain unidentified. A toucan narrowly evaded the camera lens but got to see it with our own eyes which is what really counts. As a lover of rocks I was in my element gazing at the bubbly volcanic pools and letting the sulphurous gas of the earth fill my nostrils. Highly recommended.

Spend the day doing all the trails. Saw lots of animals. Monkeys, anteater and more.

Awesome park! Geothermal Project Las Pailas was awarded best project in Latin America and the Caribbean. IF you're entering from Las Pailas, make sure you carry cash with you as there's an informal toll booth to cross a private property that will save you about 1.5 hour drive. It's worth it.

This place was pretty cool, we didn’t see much wild life but we did see mini volcanos. The hike is pretty easy.
