Great little spot. Excellent wines and beers as well. Worth the stop. Have a great vinyl collection. “dusty vinyl” is great

Christy Foster

Google
Fabulous wines! I enjoyed it thoroughly and Jill, the owner, was so helpful with local things to see and do, plus info about visiting Paso Robles, where they grow their grapes. Just go 🍷

Christina Arakelian

Google
This place is an absolute gem. The owners have put so much work into every detail of the tasting room, their wines, and the presentation. It truly tells a story. You can buy wine to go or do a flight. The gentleman 2 doors down also sells empanadas that are to die for. Great place for a date, a Saturday after, and we’ll frankly anytime. I can’t wait to come back!

Google
They spin records while you taste the wine. Great wine and service! My husband recommends Dusty Vinyl red.

Google
The wines are extremely small production and amazing! It's family owned and run so very knowledgeable and personable! They did a great job on the tasting room and Despite having to be outside now, they created a nice ambiance! Definitely get a cheese tray and try their estate pinot noir if they have it!

Google
Excellent wines, super friendly and knowledgeable host (Winemaker’s brother-in-law), and fantastic music on vinyl in a chill atmosphere. We became wine club members on our first visit! Go! This place will not disappoint!

Google
Wine, friends and empanadas…what more does a person need! Had another great experience at Rincon Mountain Winery. Even though it was hot outside…nice and cool inside with great views of the salt marsh.

Stopped here on an impromptu trip with my wife at the beginning of a quick Santa Barbara trip. We spent quite a bit more time here than anticipated. The staff were very friendly and the wine was pretty tasty! My favorite part was the wall of records and they encouraged us to select something to play over their HiFi system. Look forward to stopping in again.

Yelp
Tasting Flights: $25 (waived with a 2-bottle purchase). Beer tasting flight: $20. This was only our second visit to Rincon Mountain's tasting room, but the experience was just as wonderful as the first time. This is a family owned/operated wine and beer tasting room located in Carpinteria, with their vineyards located on nearby Rincon Mountain and in Paso Robles. Cool vibe entry area, with a large, garage-like back room and outdoor tasting areas. Parking available both on street and in a private lot in back. WINES: We were fortunate to have Jill, co-owner with her husband Edward, pour for us and the service was excellent. We tried 5 wines from the tasting menu, a '22 Storytime Rosè, '22 Susie Q (white Rhone blend), 2020 Dusty Vinyl (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre red blend), '19 Tempranillo, and a '19 Monk (Bordeaux red blend). In addition, Jill also poured us a '22 Syrah. Again, all the wines were well-made and flavorful. We took advantage of the waived tasting fee and took several bottles home with us. You can also purchase wines by the glass or enjoy a bottle onsite. BEER: New since our last visit, Jill and Edward decided to brew beer, so we also decided to share a tasting. All ingredients are grown on their property and they're currently pouring a Lu Lu Lager, a Monk's Ration (Belgian Ale), and a Sal's Stout. The pours are generous and easily enough for two people to share a tasting. We're not huge beer fans, but these, especially the lager and the ale, were so refreshing and full of flavor. They're sold in 750ml bottles, and we took a couple of these home as well. I highly recommend a visit to Rincon Mountain Winery's tasting room. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Rincon Mountain Winery Tasting Room is an awesome spot in Carpinteria for getting together with friends and drinking great wine! All the wines are amazing and you're sure to find the wine you enjoy the most. For first timers I definitely recommend getting the flight. The service is amazing and they'll give you the background on each wine the pour and how it's made to give it their unique flavors. The setup of the place also has a beach town feel. Located right next to the salt marsh, it's a the perfect spot to meet up with friends.

Yelp
This family owned winery has delicious wine and great vibes. I even joined their wine club. If your in Carpinteria or on 101 stop by and give them try. They have an amazing vinyl collection and the wine is local and delicious.

Yelp
This winery has some great tasting reds! I especially enjoyed their Estate Tempranillo. It was full bodied, earthy and had notes of vanilla, cherries and chocolate. What more could a girl ask for in wine. The Syrah had notes of lavender, violet and grapes. A little drier, but still left a nice finish on the palette. Thanks to my friend who has a membership here; I was fortunate to visit their private Mountain top winery. Unfortunately, it is members only that have access to this beautiful place. The views at the top are priceless! Between the coastal views and the breathtaking Mountain View's, it really felt surreal. The grounds provide plenty of seating, an outside kitchen area for those who want to bring their own food, or you can order pizza ahead of time. The pizza is made in their wood burning oven, and delicious! There's so many good things to say about this winery, but I will wrap it up by saying my visit left me wanting a membership here. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Where to start? I was apprehensive at first , because the location is sketchy -warehouse next to the railroad tracks; however, once inside Rincon Tasting Room the vibe was great! The music was eclectic and fun -patrons are free to look at the massive vinyl collection- and we were greeted by the mother of the owner. There is such a warmth in this family run winery. I had the wine and cheese sampling, which was just unbelievably good! Normally, I will go to a winery and only like 1 or 2 of the wines. However, I liked ALL the wines here at Rincon Mountain Winery. We also order empanadas from a quirky Argentinian who runs a empanada business next door. He supplies the winery with his 10 different types of empanadas and OH MY, they are incredible! If you enjoy great wine, food and music catered by a knowledgeable and happy staff, THIS is the place for you!

Yelp
Great wine and music from the DJ on the Vinyls. Small town feel and good atmosphere. whenever you in the Carpinteria area, hopefully check it out.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this winery from a dear friend that's been a member for years & she highly recommended to us. Jill assisted us with making a reservation & establishing our membership. Although we didn't get a chance to actually meet with Jill, as apparently she is expecting & it can be any day now from what we were told, we did have the pleasure of meeting with Darren who gave us a run down on their establishment. They have an AMAZING collection of vinyls when you walk into the tasting room. We were seated inside the lounge towards the rear entrance which was very comfy & inviting. Then, the fun began with the tasting of about 6 different wines. Our favorites were the Brosé, the Dusty Vinyl & the Tempranillo. We met a lovely couple & their dog that were seated next us & they advised of the yummy cheese board & empanadas that they also serve their. I am a HUGE fan of empanadas, so I was definitely down to give them a try! Wow, just wow!! The empanadas were heavenly. My favorite was the bacon, Gouda with jalapeño. It had just the right amount of "kick" to it, if enjoy a little heat like I do then definitely try it! My husband liked the steak one (I forgot what all was in it). There was also an Indian curry veggie one that was a special for that afternoon as well which was pretty good. We also tried I believe it was the fig, Brie & walnut which was very tasty. We tried their ham & cheese, plus there was a Roquefort one we tried as well. They are very buttery, flaky & delicious. We heard about the actual winery itself that's on the hill which is open to Members only, so we look forward to venturing to that sometime in the near future as well. Overall, we had a fantastic experience & we highly recommend bringing some friends for a fantastic afternoon.

Yelp
A friend who is a member took me here for wine tasting and if I wasn't planning on getting pregnant soon, I would've gotten a membership! The wine is superb and I enjoyed all of the tastings we had. I appreciated the charcuterie box (which was extra) and was pleasantly surprised when i learned it was locally crafted. The place itself was so charming! A whole wall full of vintage vinyls and wonderful music playing throughout our time there. There are also games to play in the back room. Just a great place to relax, catch up with a friend, and taste great wine.

Yelp
Don't pass by Carpinteria on the way to the bigger name wineries because you will be missing a gem. This winery is at the perfect size right now. Family owned, good variety, value their patrons, and know all their members by name. Local owners that are epitomizing the local small beach town vibe of Carpinteria, even playing vinyl records while you taste. The service is excellent. I can't say enough great things about this winery. My only regret is my wife has the membership and not me, so this is "her winery" and not mine! They also have cider. The pink granny is delicious. Don't forget to check that out while tasting the wine!

Austin B.

Yelp
This family owned winery makes you feel like a part of their family. Christian & Jill are some of the friendliest people you could meet. Not only are they great company, but their wine is better. Great location and views, amazing wine. What more could you ask for? Do yourself a favor and come do a tasting and order empanadas while you are here. You can thank me later.

Yelp
Here in Florida, just opened the Gamay Noir that a friend brought to dinner the other night, but we only now get to enjoy... MAGNIFICENT!!

Yelp
This place is truly special! The wine is amazing and high quality and the beer perfect! The owners are super friendly and personable. They treat every visitor like a VIP. The ocean views from the ranch itself is a must see! I cannot recommend this place more! Also- they have the best brick oven pizza, ever. Definitely try it, you can thank me later!

Yelp
While there is a Rincon Mountain Winery tasting room located in downtown Carpinteria, I will be transparent in admitting that I have not been. However, I did receive a special invitation to an exclusive, members-only release party at Rincon Mountain Winery's property. The remote vineyard resides amongst the countless avocado and lemon orchards on top of Rincon Mountain. The property overlooks the coastal towns of Carpinteria and Santa Barbara, with unexpected summer heat similar to that of Ojai. I had the pleasure to meet the winemaker, Edward Darren, who studied Enology at Cal Poly and his in-laws. The parents-in-laws spoiled us by tossing homemade, deliciously fresh pizzas in a mobile stone pizza oven. My group purchased several bottles that included their Dusty Vinyl (GSM) and Ranch Rules (40% Barbera, 40% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre), while tasting a few other wines offered. If you couldn't tell already by our selection, I like big red wines! All of the wines we enjoyed immensely with plenty of body, medium tannins and acidity, and gorgeous color. Not to mention, the property has the perfect angle to take in a winter sunset like nowhere else I've seen on the Central Coast. Everyone was extremely hospitable, knowledgeable and made it a pleasure to visit. What more could I ask for?! Fabulous wine, company, food, AND views!! Pre-Covid Rincon Mountain Winery used to host local bands and other public events at their vineyard, however, these have since been suspended. For the time being, they offer small private group tours of their small production. Almost all of their wine is sourced from California's Paso Robles/Creston wine regions, however, they soon plan to offer estate wines *fingers crossed*. I truly believe they have found a 'needle in a haystack' with the perfect terrain and microclimate to grow and produce their own Bordeaux varietals. After my visit to the vineyard, I can't wait to check out their tasting room in Carpinteria and take a few bottles home for my collection. Cheers!

Yelp
Rincon Mountain Winery is the best winery my husband and I have ever been to. We had so much fun wine tasting and even took a bottle home. We loved how there's so much rich family history tied into the location and wine, which makes this location unique and cozy. The location is beautiful, the wine was nothing short of amazing, and we both had such a wonderful time! There is a bathroom a few doors down (you need a pin code to get in) and there was ample parking in the back. We will definitely be back in the near future for more wine, wonderful music, and fun vibes!

Yelp
I like to support local businesses as much as possible. When my bestie invited me to join him to their pick up event I obliged. Let me set the scene first. You drive up a windy road to reach their venue and with a beautiful view of Carp and SB, both mountain and ocean. During sun set, the ocean glimmers as the sun is descending. So magical. During their pick up parties, the owners and family members make and serve homemade pizza. Now that was enough to win me over! Lol... As you wait for your pizza, they take your wine order to consume while there. Mind you I'm not a wine connoisseur, but the Dusty Vinyl that was served was exquisite and buttery. Pizza, good wine, and amazing ambiance made for a spectacular tasting event. As I've mentioned previously, I like to support local businesses. The family that own and run this winery are truly good people. They took time after their event to introduce us to their own collection of wines and offered us a history of their property. With a cumulation of things, their willingness to share their love of wine making and serving the community is what sold me. I've interacted with Jill, but mostly Christian at their brick and mortar tasting room. When there, they are always so welcoming and treat you like you are their long lost friend. This establishment is a breathe of fresh air. I encourage anyone and everyone to visit their shop and try their wines. I'm sold and will be a long time customer.

Yelp
Easily my favorite tasting room in greater SB. I found this place the day I moved into my new house and became a member in between loading/unloading belongings. Great variety of wines, friendly staff, and a beautifully done tasting room with a vinyl accent wall. If you're a member, you get 4 free tastings anytime you stop in (don't forget to tip!) and they have quarterly pick up parties on Rincon Mountain with fantastic views

Yelp
Carpenteria is such a great little town, we are always looking for another reason to head down that way. And, now we have it. In addition to the 3 breweries and the mead/cider house, Carp is now home to a full fledged winery tasting room! Rincon Mountain Winery is operating a modern and spacious tasting room that sports a bit of a music theme up front and has a great open, indoor space in the back. Located on the Near end of Carpinteria Ave (nearer to Santa Barbara ) the area may be industrial but it's getting a good reputation for quality places to imbibe :-) The wines poured are all estate wines though for the time being they are all from the family's vineyards in Paso Robles. No matter, the quality is there and the vineyards up on the mountain have all been replanted with Pinot Noir so that should be excellent when those vines begin producing. At the Paso vineyards they are growing quality Rhône and Spanish varietals as well a few others that do well in that region. We particularly enjoyed the "LuLu" and " Dusty Vinyl" red Rhône blends :-). We'll definitely be adding Rincon Mountain to our regular stops list whenever we are in Carpinteria, they're definitely doing it right :-)

Yelp
Great wine tasting, nice venue, super friendly staff, and amazing record collection. What more can you ask for? We loved our stop into this cute little tasting room and definitely recommend it if you are in the area. Love that it is a local and family business!

Vanessajune A.

Yelp
The rose you cannot go wrong. Christian seems to remember us everything we come. Last time we were here was back in 2020 and he still remembers us. We love coming here from Orange county and make it a must to buy a few bottles and enjoy the tasting room. His record collection is impressive also!

Yelp
Little cloudy for the beach and we are from out of town so liking to wine taste - came here and had a great time! Cute little spot and everyone was super friendly - dog friendly too!!! Thank you fir a great time we will be back!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Found by accident as I drove into Carp this afternoon. Wines are incredible. Hard to believe this is a relatively new vineyard. And the music!! Incredible collection of vintage vinyl and a superior acoustic system. Heaven! Chris was friendly & very informative. This is obviously a labor of love family biz. Highly recommended!!!

Yelp
Fantastic wines in a warm, convivial setting. We loved the tempranillo and bought two bottles. The Rhone white blend was excellent as well. Our server was knowledgeable about the wines and even sent us on our way with a great recommendation on where to have lunch! Way better experience than some of the pretentious Santa Barbara tasting rooms.
google avatar

Yelp
The only winery I am still a member of after having many memberships all over Santa Barbara county wineries. I'm proud to say I'm a member of a Ventura winery, who produces some high quality wines especially blends.
google avatar

Angela R.

Yelp
Had a great time wine tasting here with some friends. They let us eat our own food and the wines were great. The employees were helpful and friendly - not at all overbearing or snobby. I'd definitely go back if I lived closer!

Yelp
Great vibe! Vinyls and vino! Not just for members only! Beer, snacks and merch available too!

Yelp
Great tasting wines and very cool lay out. I appreciate the patio and the Vinyl collection

Yelp
I'm often wine tasting in Los Olivos and Santa Barbara. This little winery in Carpinteria sits across the tracks overlooking the ocean. They have a nice selection of whites and reds and the red blend was adopted and came home with us. You won't be disappointed with the wine, the views, the music and the service are all great. Real people and no pretense. The vinyl selection is epic and the turntable is one of a kind. When in Carp, stop by Rincon Mountain tucked away by the tracks overlooking the ocean.

Dave U.

Yelp
Don't be discouraged because this winery is small and off the path, it's an amazing winery! The staff ( family owned) are amazing and friendly and you can't beat the wines. They are perfectionist and you can taste it in every bottle!
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
The best wine and fabulous service. Such a great place! One of our favorite places to go.

Bryan M.

Yelp
How many times have you gone wine tasting and you like only a small percentage of what you have tasted? It happens more than it should. No Sh_t, this is the first winery where my wife and I found each varietal something we wanted to purchase. What could be better? Oh, the cool urban setting outside (yep a parking lot), but with a killer sunset view. We personally like the little alcove out front where we can watch people wonder where the hell the north bound on ramp for the 101 is. They're local, they're good, and they like vinyl albums. If you haven't enjoyed a glass of Pinot while listening to Miles Davis, while watching frustrated tourists, you gotta give it a try!

Danielle K.

Yelp
Lucky enough to visit on way to Santa Barbara. Not only was this easy to navigate too (I was visiting from out of state), but so bright and inviting. Was happy to spend time to enjoy the tasting, a glass of wine and left with a few bottles! Not only did we're we given full background of winery, it's labels and each wine we tasted but also some local tips and must see places in the Santa Barbara area as well as places in the Solvang/los Olivos area. Could have spent all day here!!! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I was invited to the Grand Opening event this past weekend, and just loved Rincon Mountain Winery so much!! The drive up the hill through the avocado orchards offered breathtaking views of the coastline to one side and beautiful mountains to the other. As soon as we parked on the property atop, we felt at home as we were greeted and directed toward the first leg of the tour of the winery, which is also the home of a small craft brewery, Smoke Mountain. The winemaker himself, Edward Darren gave us the intimate tour and answered everyone's questions. Edward's wife Jill was among the hosts/hostesses who poured tastings of several wines and educated us on each. The deck outside was quaint, serene and accommodated about 50-60 guests. I enjoyed my time there, and the wines too of course, so much that I joined the wine club and look forward to the next event! Thanks again to Rincon Mountain Winery for a lovely and enjoyable beautiful day...see you again soon!

Robin M.

Yelp
Christian helmed the fabulous space with a beaming smile and a wealth of info about their epic wines!! Dusty Vinyl is sublime as were the other wines in the tasting. Defintely worth a stop in you're in Carp!! Highly recommend it!!

Ryan B.

Yelp
The best wine and great company. Chris gives great service and insight on the wines you are tasting. I always leave with at least 3-5 bottles in hand, and find myself coming back every month. Great place and fun wines.

Avalon V.

Yelp
fabulous staff. fabulous wine. fabulous atmosphere. my first time wine tasting - learned a ton about flavor and such. jill was a such a joy, enjoyed learning about her & her husbands winery's background. great afternoon & great experience!

Yelp
Visited Rincon Mountain Winery for the first time last week and it will not be our last. The tour was great fun and we learned a lot about the wine making process, not to mention the beer making. We brought lunch and set it up in the tasting patio. The wine tasting was personal and interesting. This is a small production winery so joining their club will ensure that you get their wines. They sell their beer and wine in a few places in Oxnard, Ventura and Santa Barbara. We got to taste one of the beers and it was quite good. All in all, a great experience. Thanks to all the folks that work there.
