I have been back to Rincon several times since the pandemic basically ended, and I cannot overemphasize how thrilled I am. Entering Rincon is like joining and eating with family and friends. No matter what time of day or night, people come in and greet the manager, Bernardo, a member of the family who owns Rincon, with hugs and kisses and thanks for a delicious meal or previous take-out. Nowhere else in Fairfield County do you have this experience. Warmth and welcome are the open arms of Rincon.
And the food is, hands down, the freshest and the best anywhere. Last Friday I went to Rincon with guests and we had the most superb clam ceviche that had just been prepared 2 hours before. We added to that frijoles filled with rice, beans, pork, Chilean cilantro pesto, scallions, onions, and so much else with spicy sauces and condiments.
The margaritas, as always, were huge and filled to the brim. No skimping ever. I have had everything at this very fine restaurant, including the empanadas, tacos, quesadillas, chilaquiles, and huevos rancheros, I guess the whole menu, and have never been less than absolutely satisfied, and then took some home.
The servers are outstanding, polite, and knowledgeable, in addition to being bilingual. They are responsive and fast! And when diners leave, Bernardo returns their hugs and kisses with a "Nice to see you again. Thank you so much for coming. See you soon."
Rincon Taqueria is not just a place to eat or order takeout. It is an experience to share with everyone you like and love. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and cozy with all kinds of local art and artifacts from places near and far--a restaurant each diner calls their own as strangers sit next to each other and begin a conversation. And what better way than over fine food and wine, or margaritas. Thank you, Rincon!
