The vibe is like grandma's dining room very welcoming and comfortable. Food is served at a leisurely pace and a number of patrons seemed to be local businessmen. The food is wonderful and the staff of all woman are efficient. The locals were in suits everyone else business casual. We were here at lunch.

Coming from Greece where we have a similar cuisine to Italy, I confess that every dish we ordered was excellent!!! I place it among the best restaurants I ate in Italy!! The interior decoration was simple and comfort. The red wine the waitress proposed based on our preferences was the perfect choice. Thank you for this unforgettable experience!

Located in the beautiful city of Como, this Tuscan restaurant offers a truly authentic dining experience. The food was incredibly fresh and full of genuine flavor, reminiscent of how traditional meals were served "back in the day." We had no complaints about our meal and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious truffle pasta, savory ravioli, rich paccheri with ragu, and a perfectly cooked filet. One important tip for future guests: we unfortunately didn't order the fiorentina, which is likely what you should get here. If you want to try it, it's a good idea to let them know when you make your reservation so they can have it for you. The service has an "osteria-like" feel, which means it's not a fast-paced affair. The waitresses are very nice but also very direct. While they could use an extra hand to speed up the service, the slower pace is part of the charm. As long as you are aware that you will be there for a little while, it is a great experience.

The food was to die for. I had Parma ham salad with figs and burrata to start and it was well presented and tasty. As a main I had the pasta with tartufo and it was cooked perfectly Al dented, creamy and with a generous but not overpowering amount of tartufo. My partner had steak with tartufo and he said it was probably the best steak he has eaten. He said it was very tender. Sadly I didn’t have space for dessert but my partner did and thoroughly enjoyed his tiramisu.

Absolutely lovely place!! Food was amazing, ambiance was on point, and they treated us so well after they found out we were visiting on our honeymoon! We absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend!

Google
This should have a higher rating. Excellent service. Excellent food (some of the best truffle pasta I’ve had in Italy and I’ve been here for 2 weeks via Rome and Florence!) Lovely atmosphere.

Perhaps the waitress was having an unpleasant day — I hope the owner can be understanding, as everyone has moments when they’re not in the best mood. My friend said that being in a bad mood is no excuse for being impolite and my friend wanted to leave a bad review. I tried my best to talk him out of it, hoping that there could be a little more understanding between people.

Yelp
One of the best meals we had in Italy. Homey, locals spot with just a small menu of delicious food daily. Reservations recommended. Checkered tablecloths, a great Chianti and life is good. Pasta with truffles, squid on a bed of the best potato, fresh fennel salad, 2 different, delectable steaks. Menu changes often. Just go! Service was impeccable.

Yelp
Food was unbelievable and very authentic! Service was great. Lady we had even helped us with menu since we didn't speak Italian. Wonderful place. Bottle of wine 20$ which is great considering a tourist hit spot. Wish I could have taken something home!!

Yelp
Everything was phenomenal! The fettuccine w/ duck and black truffle paired well with the Barbera D'alba. They open at 7:30 and are often fully booked. Go by and make a reservation for a later date. It is hard to get them on the phone.

Yelp
WOW! We had a truly memorable experience at Rino. The staff was accommodating and warm. The atmosphere was quaint, and the prices were very reasonable. For a party of three (2 bottles of wine) we got out under $100. I would highly recommend the pasta with truffles, the potato ravioli with meat sauce, and the potatoes side dish. We also ordered a raw ham and burrata (daily special) that was to DIE FOR! I will definitely be back to this restaurant and bookmark it as a top food destination on como center.

Yelp
We went to this exceptional restaurant in the center of lake como! The food was incredible! I think it was the best, I've ever eaten in italy! Nice service stuff! I think it might have been the owners daughters. The prices are totally ok for the quality they accomplish! I absolutely recommend this restaurant! It is classic italian in it's appearance but the food... omg!!! the food is amazing! That's what italy stands for! Amazing high quality food! These people know, how to cook! It was delightful!

Yelp
Once you arrive at Como, find this restaurant and make sure to get a reservation. This hole in the wall restaurant is the BEST restaurant in Como. If your from the states, the quality of truffles and amount is unthinkable back in the states. The truffle dishes like the Tagliolini, risotto, and carpaccio are to die for. The Tagliolini pasta a little over cooked but for a full service restaurant with only three employees I can understand. The Truffles are from Umbria, they are local and so so fresh. The truffles especially on the Tagliolini enhances the butter rich flavor of the sauce. Also, the T-Bone steak was better than Peter Lugers. I'm a huge Lugers fan but this steak was perfectly cooked to a rare, tasted like it was cooked with olive oil not Lille the butter from Peter Lugers. This made the steak rich and tender but not overly fatty. The steak was a little under seasoned but that's the reason they bring the salt to your table to season to your liking. Please if you getting the T-Bone get the Chianina steak. This cow is from Tuscany and is soooo tender. Not tender like a wagu due to the marbling but the meat itself of a thick juicy flavorful meat. Please this is a must go!!!!! Now go right away to make a reservation.

Yelp
Ristorante Rino was one of the biggest disappointments of my travels. I had read several reviews online about it where people raved that it was fantastic. This was possibly the worst restaurant experience I've ever had and the worst Italian food that I've ever had and I live in Qatar in the Middle East!!! First, it was full of tourists and no Italians (the tourists were done with their meals and left by the time we were looking at the menu: a sign we should have escaped right then...), which is fine if the food is still good (but it was awful). I imagine this used to be a cute, cosy restaurant frequented by locals. So while we cant blame us tourists, they could at least keep the food decent. The bread was very dry and not freshly made that morning. We had ravioli and mixed seafood. The ravioli was an embarrassment to home-made ravioli in Italy. It lacked flavor inside and was only slightly redeemed by the sauce. We also has some spinach which was ok, at least they didn't completely mess that one up. The people seemed friendly but the service was terrible, really terrible. This was weird since we were the only ones still there on a Friday night. They didn't pay attention to us at all, the food came out very, very late and wasn't warm. We were going to leave, which we should have, but we were trying to be nice. We then paid 70 euro for this awful meal. What a waste of money that could have been spent buying food from the grocery store that tasted better. I am still shocked to this day about the poor quality of this food and this restaurant. I expect that in Italy, any restaurant, anywhere, should be decent and at the very least taste ok!!! Italian food is known for simplicity and a good combination of a few flavors. As a restaurant, they are truly a shame to their country. On another note, while we are all obsessed with checking reviews online, I suggest that you should stick to enjoying this beautiful mountain town, wander the small streets, and stumble into any cute restaurant where you only hear Italian. Don't be fooled like we were.

Yelp
So amazing. My husband and I ducked into here on a rainy day. Recommended by our hotel front desk this place did not disappoint. My husband had the best meal of the day (I had the beef stewed in Chianti - which was great) the bacon wrapped steak with red onions and beans. Melt. In. Your. Mouth. Good.
