Río de Janeiro Plaza

Google
Lovely area. The Plaza Rio de Janeiro was developed in the 1920s with a central plaza and fountain surrounded by spectacular buildings. High point is the bronze, oddly proportioned statue of David. Michelangelo would not be happy but labs and Goldens love the water.

Right across from our bnb. Nice park near restaurants and bars.

In a city packed with parks, it’s hard to say which one is my favorite, but for this trip at least, I would say this plaza hits the spot. People, ambiance, dogs, water, art, music: you should find it here. My pics are from an early morning walk and don’t do it justice, but it’s what I got at the time.

A small neighbourhood park with a central fountain and statue. It is hugely popular for dog exercising. There's also much birdlife there.

Gorgeous little park in the Roma Norte neighborhood. My friend and I stumbled upon it while shopping in the area. Give me a coffee, a book and a bench, please!

Sweet plaza located in the heart of Roma Norte. Nice fountain with a replica of David. Lots of well behaved dogs in the area. The buildings surrounding the plaza are lovely. I felt safe the whole time, I would recommend and I’d go back.

Nice place to hang around for a bit to relax and watch the statue with the water fountain. You got enough possibilities to sit on benches, enjoy and just relax for a bit. I liked this little park.

One of the best parks in the city, excellent to stop and take a moment to rest, to reflect, or to look at the surroundings. the architecture is unique and it has well preserved buildings. Visit and enjoy

Yelp
We just spent a week in Mexico City - our first visit. And I was glad that we chose to stay right on the Plaza Rio de Janeiro! The plaza is lovely - tall, beautiful trees, a David sculpture/fountain, lots of benches, and great people/dog watching (it's a big spot for dogwalkers in the neighborhood). We were there a week and saw film crews working in the park twice. It's a really nice urban park - a great asset to the residents nearby! Stop by for a stroll or a sit if you're in the area and want to be somewhere nice and restful for a bit!

Yelp
Sitting on a bench in Plaza Rio de Janeiro is the quintessential Mexico City experience. With the background music from a street performer, kids are playing, people walking dogs and families relaxing by the fountain. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a little work out area.
