Rio Design Hotel

My first 2 days were amazing, until a tall male rapped on my door carring a weapon. He did not ring phone, he just beat on my door. Your wifi is spied upon, and no illegal acts performed. Yet your trafficked instantly. You can enter any room number for your password. I was honest, I entered mine, though other do not. They do that to conceal their illegal act.|PS- they ripe you off to come in early! They charge $127 usd, verses online price of $93 usd. Who the heck charges to hold a bag for you? All reputable hotels do this as a courteous service. Obscene charge for 4 hours! The only good item was the breakfast- free. But it's time to eat away!|I suffered a muscular back and leg cramping, and returned to hotel, and was radiated by staff. Do not trust anyone but Miguel. He leads in some dignity toward guests.

I have stayed here a few times now which is testament to my satisfaction with the hotel. It is conveniently located and the rooms are pleasant. I have always found the reception staff outstanding in every way, responding to queries promptly and effectively. I will continue to return here and feel very much at home.

The location of the hotel was perfect nestle between Ipanema and Copacabana. 2 minute walk to the Beach. It was very clean and the housekeeping staff were remarkable. The security was top notch. João Santos was kind, patient, and simply amazing. He may sure that I felt at home and was there for all questions and assistance. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely stay here again!

It is a horrible hotel. Rooms have stained beds. Restrooms are worst. We literally avoided the Restrooms. We may have exhausted a complete room freshener because of the stink in the room. AVOID THIS HOTEL.

Service is excellent. Staff is absolutely very kind, specially since I was hospitalized because of a pneumonia. The hotel is on the corner of a very busy street. Kind of noisy. Have to close the window during the night.

The room is far older than the pictures provided here on the trip.com. Also the smell of the bedding is not so good.

Not a 4* hotel. Service was non existent. The pool has closed. Location is really good for the beach but very noisy because of thin walls and windows that don't close properly. Breakfast was good with a wide choice. Room was spacious and comfortable with good air conditioning. But it was tatty with poor maintenance. Our room on the 5th floor was tired and dirty. The shower tap fell off. They even gave us an old towel that had holes in it and we had to ask for new towels. The cleaning was very poor. Our room wasn't cleaned at all one day and the left a dirty coffee cup during our whole stay (3 nights). Also the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. It could be really nice but needs some love and attention

This Hotel is currently Scamming us out of over 600 Euros. They tried to do this more than once. They say they need confirmation from your bank and when you accept they take more money from! Beware of this Hotel and Bookings.com. Someone in house is scamming their clients out of Money! No one from the Hotel answers on their number or Whatsapp and Booking.com’s Customer service is non existent. You cant get through to anyone.

This hotel is very comfortable and close to everything downtown. The staff is friendly. They offer a nice breakfast that includes fresh fruit, rolls, eggs, bacon and coffee. The rooms are comfortable- ur on a trip so don't expect any glamour but its a place to rest your head after all of the tours and shopping

Great staff they were excellent in every way posssible. Marielle at the front desk truly understands customer service above and beyond. Rooms are moderate i would not call this hotel luxury but rooms are well kept. Cleaning staff well trained. Breakfast is good large variety does not tend to change in new things everyday but still large selection. We enjoyed our stay thanks.
