We stayed at the Riverhouse for three days as part of our Seqouia trip. What a unique location this is, directly at the Kaweah river with beautiful views. The master suite was very nice, plenty of space and good facilities. The garden was maintained every day and service was provided immediately when needed. We enjoyed swimming in the river, having our breakfast in the morning sun and meeting the other guests at the water side. Mars, thank you so much for this unique experience.

We had a lovely stay at the Rio Sierra Riverhouse for a last minute trip up to Sequoia National Park. The property is a short drive to the national park entrance (after which there is a long and twisty drive up the hill to get to the big trees!). As well as enjoying seeing the national park, we really enjoyed our time spent at the property which has great views and some lovely outdoor seating areas that overlook the river. Our room was very comfortable, and they provided a bed for our 7 month old baby which was very kind of them. We very much hope to come back one day!

You won’t find a better place to stay and enjoy Sequoia! Such beautiful riverfront/beach front rooms you’ll want to spend all day enjoying this place. We chose studio 2. Peaceful and scenic. Close to restaurants and a short drive to the park. You’ll love it!

We spent three days at the Bird Watch cottage and were delighted by all the wildlife that visited the yard. It is wonderful to have river access nearby and to be so close to Sequoia National Park. Mars, the host, is very friendly and has thought of every little detail like big fluffy bath towels, and extra blankets in the closet for the bed… to make your stay feel like you’re right at home.

Time and Nature have sculpted this magical spot along the Kaweah River. Proprietor, Mars, and her staff have tended to every comfort for an unforgettable stay near the gateway to Sequoia National Park. We recently returned here for a second stay and certainly will not wait another ten years between visits! Our mother/daughter getaway was the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Of our three days, we spent two never leaving Rio-Sierra Riverhouse (except for an exceptional dinner at The Gateway and delicious ice cream treats at Reimers). Those days of luxuriating in and next to the river were as healing and rejuvenating as communing with the big trees in Sequoia the other day. We can't recommend this place enough!! Note: Our first visit, years ago, was in April when the river was too strong for swimming or wading beyond dipping toes. This second visit, mid-August, afforded us swimming and floating, always staying conscious of the current, of course!

This place was ADORABLE! Great location, superb communication, quaint, clean and well stocked. Our room was right outside the river and we slept to the water sounds every night. We could not have been happier. Will definitely stay here again.

We just spent 3 nights at Rio. Most beautiful place! The interiors and the landscaping are so beautiful! The spot on the river is the best I’ve ever seen. So easy to check in. Clean and comfortable. Close to town. So great!!!

Google
Our room was spotless and comfortable. Surrounded by a stunning view of the mountains and a sweet, beachy river spot to swim in. Consistent and thorough communication throughout our stay. Keurig with coffee pods made the mornings brighter, too.

Yelp
Buyer beware. This business does not post their cancellation policy anywhere on their website or in their terms and conditions. However, upon booking you will get an email that your deposit in nonrefundable. I attempted to cancel 3 weeks later, I am a first responder and was supporting a fire emergency, and was told no. Note, this was still 2 full months ahead of the trip, not a last minute cancellation. I'm disappointed at their dishonest business practices. This all could have been avoided if they were up front about their cancellation policy instead of just dropping it on you after you've already made a deposit.

Yelp
Terrible! Dirty Rooms, paid extra l for a resort fee and the pool and spa were both Ice Cold. Service was poor. Don't stay! There are much better places for less money and working pools

Yelp
This was an amazing stay. So relaxing to drink coffee at the porch in the morning overlooking the river. Swimming a bit and fishing ... sooo fun!!! This place was a nice relaxing place to stay after a long day at the park...we enjoyed every bit. Mars, the owner made it that much more relaxing and easier! I had a question about the fees as I booked through nps.gov. I didn't have to go back and forth with her- she did all the work and understood what I was asking and adjusted the fee according to what I agreed to. That made my weekend that much more relaxing and enjoyable... so worth the money and vacation time! Thanks Mars.

Yelp
Our family has been coming to Rio Sierra for more than a decade. We love the environment that Mars, the owner, has created. The property feels like a B & B but with the separation of a boutique hotel. It's whimsical because it feels as though fairies and gnomes inhabit the grounds. We came up with 10 family members and split up between three rooms. One room has a full kitchen and the other a kitchenette (no stove), so we were able to make meals here. The property is right on the Kaweah river and has a beautiful swimming area. My kids loved it here as 10 and 13 year olds and love it as young adults. It's also super close to the entrance of the park. It is more on the pricier side for the area but well worth it for the beauty & comfort. Thank you Mars for creating this beautiful space!!!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at this place over labor day weekend. We really enjoyed the privacy and beautiful landscape. What a joy to sit outside early in the morning to listen to the river and drink coffee. This place is super clean and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed in the Master suite. It would be perfect for the family with 2 kids. I'll recommend this place to all my friends.

Yelp
Loved every aspect of this hotel/resort/cottage! Perfect location, spectacular river views, charming and spacious living spaces, first-class hospitality from Mars and team. We'll be back soon!!

Yelp
This place did not disappoint! Beautiful property and even better than expected! Beautiful room with a private beach on the river! Could not have asked for a better place to stay!

Absolutely wonderful place. Mars is fabulous and gave us all the information we needed for a wonderful stay. The place is so picturesque and serene we will certainly be back again! Only comment would be bed was a little hard for our taste. Thank you again for fabulous time!!

Yelp
HIDEAWAY HEAVEN: Let me start out by saying, this is my first Yelp post ever. I usually come on Yelp to gather information, but I have never posted my findings... This place made me change that. This place was AMAZING! And I could not praise the proprietress enough. My fiancé and I chose the hideaway for various reasons. More privacy, our own beach, and cheaper. My fiancé grew up in a family of Prevost owners, and I was worried she'd think the hide away was not up to her standards... I was completely wrong. She loved it! We spent our days reading on the beach, we had dinners on the large rocks that jetted out into the river. Our evenings were spent by the bond fire, and our nights filled with star gazing and sleeping to the relaxing sounds of the river. The very well maintained and manicured property set up the very definition of relaxation and perfection. I have read a total of 2 bad reviews on this place, and countless positive ones. I guess it would be an injustice not to give my input on the negative ones. Someone said "the sounds of the river were louder than the 405 during rush hour"... I don't even know where to start with it. It's a moving river which includes rapids... it makes noise. But to compare it to the chaos of the 405 is ridiculous. I would say it sounded like the beach and the waves. Except the sounds of the waves were constant not intermittent. We thought it was phenomenal. Someone said that "Mars (the proprietress) was over baring and constantly present and they felt they had no privacy. That all they wanted was privacy and the room key, and it took a half hour just to get that." That is a complete exaggeration. When you check in, she does show you the grounds and does take some time and show you're the amenities of the room... it took a total of 10 minutes. She was present throughout the weekend. But not over baring, or even noticeable. You would see her walking the grounds here and there. And occasionally check in to see how you were doing if she noticed you outside. I sum up her presence as this, she was there here and there, she was never to far when you needed her, and the couple of times when she would check in with you, she was always a welcomed site. Someone said "we were told we would get smores, but we didn't".... suck it up, spend $5 and go get them. I too read about the smores, but I decided to make the rather lavish expenditure of $5 and provide them myself. Yes, it was well worth the $5, so I recommend you bring them up too. If there was any negative I could say, it would be that we were told the hideaway came with its own bbq. In fact the bbq was a grill grate for the bon fire pit. The grill grate didn't exactly fit and rested on the coals. We had to put in 4 rocks to prop the grate up. The main house does have a gas bbq you can use, but our converted grill grate would do the trick... and I've definitely cooked on worse... but it might not be a bad idea to bring your own portable charcoal grill. In closing, this was definitely the best long weekend getaway we've ever had. We will definitely be back. Mars was an amazing endearing host and well welcomed. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel with all the bells and whistles, and massages and day spas, etc... Rio Sierra is not for you. If you are looking for the epitome of a getaway and relaxation... this place is for you. If you are looking for a camper experience with the most ideal camp spot you could find... the hideaway option is for you. When we were leaving I was trying to figure out how to put to words our weekend. I think Mars summed it up best when we checked out. She said "she could tell we got swept up in the magic of the river." There is not a better way to describe it other than that.

Yelp
We came here for a quick get away from the city and to visit Sequioa National Park again. This is just the best place to stay in Three Rivers. Although we didn't get the suite nor the river view room, we were able to enjoy the river from the gardens and patio that are facing the river. Mars built fire every night we were there. This is really a PREMIUM camping. She was pleasing just about every guest. I saw that a few guests used the BBQ grill and did a steak and baked potato dinner. A family with kids were doing smores on the fire. I enjoyed the sunset, the fire the beach, and the rushing river sound and view. The beach and gardens are private, for guests only. The room was clean and unique (sort of like a B&B place). There were 2 skylights in the bathroom we were in (garden room) and 1 was on top of the tub and shower. It was cool! Next time, I will book the river view room or the master suite. Mars was very helpful with info about the delay in the nat park (due to road constructions) and the restaurants situation. She recommended Sierra Subs and Salads that was a great place to grab sandwiches. We had a picnic on this riverhouse and enjoyed our meal 'quietly' in front of rushing river. You never know when you can swim in the river. The river was very full and dangerous when we were there. But who knows a few more weeks, it may be swimable. It's nature, you know! We truly enjoyed this riverhouse. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
June 2023 We highly recommend staying at the Rio Sierra River Resort. Mars is a very attentive host and her recommendations really enhanced our stay, from family river rafting with Mountain Descents to gourmet pressed sandwiches at Sierra Subs. Our family of 5 stayed at the Birdwatch Cottage which was very spacious and airy for everyone. Our kids really enjoyed playing several days at the private sandy beach, connected to the rapid river on the property. My husband and I love enjoying bagels and coffee on the balcony, overlooking the river. The property allows you to get into the water and right up next to the river. Such a special location. It was easy to enjoy both the south and north ends of Sequoia National Park from the riverhouse. My teenager son loved hiking the trails inside the National Park. There is good wifi on the property so you can stay connected to your heart's content. Happy staying!!

Yelp
My father passed away earlier this year, and my family wanted to celebrate Christmas out of town. We decided to go to Three Rivers and spend a three day weekend at Rio Sierra River House. What an amazing memory for my family. Mars, the owner was amazing. She treated us like family but with the impeccable service and accommodations of a five-star resort. The room was great with a balcony overlooking the river and a scenic view of the mountains. Breakfast was served promptly and was absolutely delicious. My 6 and 8 year old said it was the best Christmas they've ever had. We were allowed to bring our Christmas tree and decorate our room which was more like a three bedroom home. The staff was fabulous! Mars prepped us for our visit with additional tourist and dining information. We went to the Sequoia National Park (just a few minutes up the road) and played in the snow and saw the world's largest tree. The worst part of the trip was leaving Rio Sierra.

Kris M.

Yelp
The perfect getaway for a long anniversary weekend... beautiful, scenic and relaxing. We did not want to leave. Mars was wonderful, checking in with us to ensure we had everything we needed. The room was immaculate and charming. Loved the location, right outside of Sequoia NP so we were able to explore easily. I'd never been through Sequoia in the Fall, and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend for a nature "reset" from the stress of the daily grind.

Yelp
This place is sooooo awesome! We got the smallest room (a studio) which has a queen bed and another day bed the size of a full. The river is literally right outside your doorstep! A cute little town is walking distance with a brewery, yogurt place, gift shop with actual cute clothes and jewelry, a great restaurant and a gas station. We stayed here to go up the Sequoia National park & it was literally a 15 minute drive away. They great you with a booklet constraining all the info you need about the town... WiFi is is reliable, and lots of tv channels! We never even turned on the TV though because we have been outside the whole time. They also have a grill area open for anyone to use. We stayed during the week and I don't think anyone else was really staying here! We never saw any other guests. We wanted to stay another night we love it so much but unfortunately they are booked up for the weekend. Keep an eye out when looking for it on the road, we drove by it at first. It's a bright turquoisey blue color. Big plush nice pillows also. In our room we had a small mini fridge. 100% will be back.

Yelp
You cannot possibly be any closer to the river .... We arrived here on a rainy night, and I was told our little room was about 20 feet from the river. It was extremely dark and I could hear the water, but couldn't see it. When I awoke the next morning and looked out the window I was pleasantly surprised. The view was beautiful. The entire side of the room is lined with windows so you cannot possibly miss the scenic view. Our room was very quaint and cute. It was perfect for an over night stay and would work well for a lengthier visit as well. Every room has a mini fridge and little coffee bar, cable TV and a comfy bed. I especially loved our little fireplace room heater. It came in handy on a cold rainy night. The bathrooms were well stocked with some nice little toiletries. Right outside of our room was a little deck and further up the steps is a fire pit surrounded by trees. There is also a few BBQ pits right along the river. This is a cute place to visit when staying in Three Rivers or visiting the giant sequoias.

Yelp
It's hard to find a solid 5 star place on Yelp. Specially hotels. We had been through Three Rivers on our way to Sequoia a couple years ago and knew the area was beautiful. It was one of those last minute ideas so I called the place on a Thursday night hoping they would have an available room for the next day. Mars, the owner, picked up the phone and said she had the garden room available. She has 5 rooms, one being an RV, which looked fun. I think all of them have river views, except ours. But as much as I was a little bummed, I have to say the room was very comfortable and felt more private than the other ones. And we were INSIDE the river all day long so not having a view of it was not a big deal. The location is great, between Lake Kaweah and the entrance of Sequoia National Park. There are restaurants and little shops around the area. We found simple but really good food. Upon our arrival Mars showed us the property and our room and lent us a couple hiking guides and some maps. The next day, we woke up early and went for a hike in Marble Falls, inside Sequoia National Park. We got back, had lunch and bought wine and cheese for later. In the evening we sat by the fire, and had our wine and cheese, waiting for the stars to appear. It was really a flawless experience and just the perfect place for a quiet, romantic weekend. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Let's start with what we LOVED about this place. We stayed in the Panorama Room for one night 10/03/14 for my husband's birthday. 1. Great LOCATION...it's on the river! Beautiful and relaxing. It's like your own oasis, not crowded, play at your own risk! (You sign a safety waiver). 2. Close to Sequoia National Park (which is why we stayed here and based upon fellow Yelpers). Also, our sight seeing tour guide actually picked us up from here. 3. Friendly STAFF...from the girl who checked us in (sorry we forgot her name) to Cherry, who helped us with our t.v. issue, and the guy who checked us out. We never met Mars but she seemed nice on the phone and emails. Always quick to respond to my questions...Thank you! 4. The CATS...I loved them so much!!! Wish I was able to play with them more. The orange tabby Maine coon one reminded me of my own. They are friendly and they liked to be petted. 5. Great FULL kitchen...our intentions was to cook dinner, but it was getting late and we were tired from all that hiking and sight seeing tour stuff. So, now let's name the things we DIDN'T LIKE: 1. The SMELL...the room has a weird odor. I don't know if it's because the structure is old or the paint, but it smelled like aged wood and dust (it's hard to describe). 2. OVERPRICED...I guess I expected more from the room for what I paid for. (Maybe an air freshener, even a birthday greeting or something accommodating). 3. HARD bed...there's 2 queen beds in the Panorama room. The one on the right, when you walk in softer than the left. 4. MIRRORS...I need them! There's one in the bathroom but I need a full body one. 5. Poor LIGHTING...it's dark and there's small lamps everywhere. 6. NO SMORES!...we didn't see anyone lighting the fire-pits, and we didn't get the famous s'mores that everyone said they got. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and my hubby had a great time on the river. It was a great bday getaway.

Yelp
Recently stayed in the Hideaway (the stationary RV option), and I cannot recommend that enough over shelling out more to stay in the main house. The property photos don't adequately reflect how private the Hideaway is - you are completely separated from the rest of the property, so other guests don't even see you when you're on your beach. The little bed was surprisingly comfortable, and there's now a gas grill right outside if you want to cook. Mars is such a sweet person who truly cares about your comfort and happiness when you stay there. The river sound was blissful to sleep to. I'm not big on repeat vacations but really hope that I get the chance to go back here sometime.

Valyn A.

Yelp
Relaxing riverfront view, very clean and vibrant colors of the room, full kitchen is the best thing! Great family trip experience for kids to make memories of being able to play and swim in the river, sandy beach picnic area is the most likely the best part! Definitely be coming back soon.

Yelp
We stayed here las weekend. So comfortable, so relaxing! We will definitely be back. BTW, the sound of the river RIGHT by our window was so soothing.

Yelp
We visited the Riverhouse last fall and fell in love with it. So we took the entire family for a reunion this year and rented all the units! We had the most PERFECT experience...and all this right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. We had our own private beach and riverfront, a full kitchen where we took care of all our own food, outdoor areas where we could all gather to eat or just chat. Mars is a fantastic hostess, and catered to our every need - but appropriately from a distance this year. And the distance from Sequoia National Park allows a spectacular day outing. I simply cannot say enough. We HIGHLY recommend this location for your next vacation!

Pamela A.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. Its beautiful and such awesome rooms. Really shows the history. Our family loves this place. My grankids had a blast. So nice to walk down to water and play. and just miles away from Sequoia National Park. Which is just gorgeous place. Can't wait to go again. Mars is the best. She makes the rooms just so. With alot of love. and equipped with everything you need. I would recommend this place over others.

Yelp
My family stayed here to be close to the Seqouias. This BnB was more than amazing. The house is adorable and right next to the river and in the center of Three Rivers. Our room was clean, spacious and had the most amazing view of the river. The staff were very friendly and prompt to assist us with anything. Some might even call this BnB magical... we will definitely come back and highly recommend this to anyone.

Yelp
A Serene, beautiful, and unforgettable trip for each member of my family, both young and old. Mars and her staff go above a beyond...

Yelp
My girlfriend and I recently stayed at the Rio Sierra Riverhouse. As lovely as the location of the hotel and quaint the room was, the host of the hotel, Mars, made our stay all the more enjoyable. I have stayed in many hotels across the world over the past thirty years and, without hyperbole, Mars is one of the most gracious and considerate hosts I have ever met. Our room was very clean, cozy, well-lighted, and had all of the amenities. Lovely rock formations dot the landscape alongside the hotel where the Kaweah River flows. The fire pit is lit nightly and offers a warm place to sit while star gazing. Several miles from the entrance to Sequoia National Park, the Rio Sierra Riverhouse is walking distance to central Three Rivers where one can easily access very good restaurants, general stores, antique stores, and other businesses. Rio Sierra Riverhouse will be our place of stay when we return to the majestic Sequoia National Park.

Susie E.

Yelp
this is one of the best vacations I have ever taken. we stayed in the Riverview Suite and it was wonderful, views were excellent. The room was super clean and adequate for two people. We didn't get to enjoy the breakfast because of covid but lots of great places for food in town. Would have been nice to at least have a microwave but there was a mini fridge and Keurig coffee maker. We were there in late August and the river was low but still able to get in all the way River was so beautiful. The proximity to Sequoia National Forest also perfect we went there a couple of the days we were there so beautiful as well. We will definitely go back here again perhaps in the late spring or early summer when the river is higher and we can enjoy the Roaring River. Keeping in Mind When it is roaring Is probably more dangerous to get in , it is definitely safer when we went very calm and you can just wade in. If you are looking for serenity this is it.

Yelp
This place is great! Right on the river with areas to sit and enjoy the private area. The room was great with a full kitchen. There were even fresh flowers there in the room for us! We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

Yelp
Lovely time away from everyone Minutes outside visalia and the national park. Unexpected features were the outdoor BBQ, small in room refrigerator, Blu ray player and movies inside the room.

Yelp
My husband and our 2 kids just came home from a 5 day stay at Rio Sierra Riverhouse. This place is an oasis and we absolutely loved our time there. We stayed in the Panorama cabin, which came equipped with a fridge and full kitchen, which we definitely took advantage of. I appreciated that the kitchen had all the utensils I needed. We made so many wonderful memories swimming in the river. My older son and I jumped off of the rocks into the river - so much fun and so many great memories made. The river and the tiny rapids were tame so my husband and I even had our 3 year old in the river with us. There were bullfrogs (they were hard to find, but the journey to find them was great!), tadpoles and lizards to investigate with my kiddos, which was super fun. It does take about an hour to get to the top of the mountain in Sequoia Park, but well worth it. The best was to get back to the cabin in the afternoon and go straight into the cool river. I would 100% come back here. We had everything we needed and Mars was super accomodating with whatever we needed. She really wanted to make sure we had a great experience, and we did! But be forewarned, your toddler may chant "Me go back to river. Me go back to cabin" for an excessive amount of time upon leaving this magical place.

Yelp
This hotel was the highest rated in the area and it came at a high price. Came with great expectations and we were totally disappointed. Yes it was quaint if you like an out dated room! We had views of the river but basically had to close the blinds as there was no other place for privacy besides the bathroom. The stairs to the "room" was definitely not kid proof. No railings. I almost tripped down the stairs coming out of the bathroom! I expected more for the $ my boyfriend paid for the room. We were so disappointed that we left the following day and did not get a refund for the 2nd night we booked.

Kristin R.

Yelp
Excellent location! We had a fabulous time swimming in the river in mid August- it was hot out and the water was refreshing. We got tips from a local on where to slide down the rocks in a natural water slide. Sandy beach, deep pool to jump in, just absolutely amazing! The Riverhouse is lovely. The breakfast served overlooking the river was delicious. We are already planning our return!!!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stayed here last Saturday and totally enjoyed it. We had one of the suites (#2) and our only regret was we didn't sleep with one of the windows open so we missed hearing the river at night. Everything in the room was tasteful and special. Great view of the river and it had it's own private balcony. We enjoyed the fire pit at night near the river. Mars and all of her staff were super nice and helpful. We will be back for sure.

Yelp
Perfect trip. Close to Sequoia National Park, close to foodie style grub at Ol' Buckeroos, the Kaweah River is your backyard. Rooms were cute and all around vibe was just perfect. I'm going back for sure!

Yelp
I really don't have anything bad to say about Rio Sierra Riverhouse. It was everything I expected. Whoever is in charge with their marketing is doing an amazing job. The images on the website are accurate of the house so you pretty much know what you are getting into; which is a quaint, old, mutli-room home with private outdoor entrances with much charm and privacy. I wonder if the owner / host "Mars" does all the decorating? It was cute, well done inside. Maybe she's artsy. I liked it. We had the smallest of rooms but we aren't large size people. If you are on the large size, maybe the smallest room wouldn't suit you. But the room was well stocked with towels, clean, warm, and even on the first floor, had albeit panoramic views of the river. Plenty of blankets inside and retractable shades for added privacy. Mars had a fire ready outside for us every night whether we used it or not. As an avid camper, I wasn't sure what to expect so I did bring a few items. I forgot a few. I would have loved to have my Coleman red tin dishes and utensil set which I forgot. would have really added to the river house concept (maybe Mars should place a 4 person set in the room, would be awesome). This would be pretty cool because unlike a traditional bed breakfast, you pretty much are on your own and she welcomes you to bring any food in like we did which wasn't a problem. Bring a cooler, camping utensil, marshmallows, chocolate, roll of paper towels, oh and bring a coffee mug! Wish I did. Could have filled with coffee before heading up to daily trips to the Sequoias! The first night I had bbq ribs that I warmed up over the fire. The next night, I assembled my camping skewer and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over the open fire. I tend to bring too many clothes. There are hangers but I would bring extra if you tend to hang your clothes like I do. There is a coffee maker too but be wary of the half / half creamer. Most were spoiled :(. These are minor things fyi. Wifi is albeit spotty for the average iphone on lower floor. You should get about 1 to 3 bars of wifi service and should work 75% of the time to get your needs done. The river in the back is priceless. It roars. It is fast moving. I bet its just lovely in the summer to dip your feet in. I'd come back for sure. Given the space outside, might even make a good place to bring other family / friends same time and where you can all chill outside at night after a long day. p.s. Mars was pretty helpful. I didn't thinks he was overwhelming us with too much information at all. In fact, we used her input to get our days planned out and it turned out to be very useful.

Best best best place to stay in three rivers. Always stay here when go to sequoia national park. Mars, the owner, surely make me feel like home. Campfire is set up every night!! The river is right in front of me. Very very relaxing. I came here sometimes just to stay here for a quick getaway from the city.

Yelp
My family and I stayed at the Rio Sierra in July 2020 for my birthday. The Master sweet was perfect for the four of us. It was very clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed playing in the river right out front, and said it was their favorite place we stayed during our National Parks road trip. We will certainly be back now that we know how special this property truly is. Thank you Mars for having us!!

Yelp
What a fantastic stop on our way to Yosemite! Mars is a wonderful host The rooms are a great designer mix of found objects and comfortable furniture, mixing mid-century modern with antiques that immediately make you feel at home. The ground are full of whimsy and practicality. Darling red lawn chairs, blue benches, umbrellas & tables with a priceless view of the rapids in front of you. We tried to find a decent restaurant in the area, but settled on cooking our own dinner after a quick call to Mars to see if she could lend us cooking utensils for the BBQ. Upon our return, she had a lovely basket with our plates, utensils, spices, everything two epicureans could love. The area where the BBQ is located had a brilliant outdoor fire going and lanterns for romantic lighting!! Our only regret was that we had made reservations for our trip the following night that could not be cancelled or we would have spent the day relaxing on the beaches, swimming in the beautiful pond created by the lower rapids and basking in Mars incredible hospitality. WE ARE COMING BACK to stay for more than one night and day!

Yelp
Amazing amazing place. The room we stayed was so lovely, with the private kitchen and comfy beds. And their house is right next to the river. How awesome is that?! I will definitely go back next time when I visit king's canyon.

Yelp
Beautiful and quaint cottages await you to share time and space with your mother, Mother Nature. Had a lovely weekend trip and SO enjoyed our stay. Mar is a gracious and kind host and we loved the peacefulness of Three Rivers.

Yelp
There's a wonderful view from riverside. Rooms were full that day and we tried the camper van. An old trailer hidden in backyard. A bonfire place and bbq set. We met Mars, she's very nice. There were fruits and yogurts in the fridge. We had a lot of fun that day.

Yelp
SO CUTE. The Rio Sierra is a gem. Hubby and I stayed one night on our honey moon. Wish we could've stayed longer. S'mores stuff provided by the management down by the fire pit after hours was awesome. River was at low point but still beautiful. Very cool rock formations. Mars is a lovely host and was even willing to accommodate my food allergies for breakfast - we ended up heading out early but the gesture was MUCH appreciated. Cute little riviera vibe, hippy and homey. Great location very close to Sequoia Park entrance. No cell service for non-AT&T customers, but WiFi free. Would return!!!!

Yelp
We absolutely LOVED our stay at Rio Sierra Riverhouse! The most beautiful setting -- comfortable and charming lodging with the most gracious hostess, Mars. She is so wonderful and made us feel more than welcome. The Riverhouse is in close proximity to the Sequoia National Forest (which is just breathtaking) and it is also walking distance to some yummy eateries. We really cannot say enough great things about our stay and highly recommend that you check it out! We will be back again for sure! Thank you again, Mars -- this has been our favorite vacation yet!

Yelp
This place completely exceeded my expectations. I booked a little on the late side and thought, well as long as we are near the national park, how bad can it be. I certainly did not imagine that it was right on the banks of a gorgeous river, with a mini beach and swimming area and rock to jump off. The rooms were designed in a bohemian style, with great books on the shelves, free wifi and the Celtic's game on the TV! There is a fire pit every night, with a big barbeque grill you can use. Towels for the beach were supplied. We stayed in the panorama room that has a spacious kitchen and bar area and lovely views of the river. We stayed in every night because we just loved sitting out by the river/fire. Mars, the proprietor was so lovely to us, and really made us feel at home. Some people may want a more anonymous feel to their accommodation, but for me, she really completed what was already an amazing vacation. She showed us a hike to a local waterfall, was always around if we needed the local 411, and supplied us with anything we needed that wasn't in the room (towels, tinfoil etc). I feel like we made a friend. She was an amazing host. Thanks Mars! Go Celtics

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend stayed at the hideaway here for my birthday weekend and had the most pleasant stay. The rv was small but cozy and had everything that you could possible need. All you need to bring are your clothes and food. Mars and Thomas was very informative and helpful! The area was wonderful, it was less than a mile away from a grocery store and a gas station. Mars also suggested a sandwich place that we tried on the way home and it was like heaven in my mouth :) We made good time and was there before our check in time and Mars was nice enough to let us check in earlier. This place was a very good find! :) Would definitely come back the next time we go to Sequoia.

Yelp
Stayed here for my birthday weekend with the family and it was nothing short of incredible. The staff is super welcoming, the studio we stayed in was really cozy and the location really is second-to-none. How could you go wrong with an incredible river with a mountain view in your backyard? A fire was lit for us every night by the river, we drank and dined under the stars (BBQ included)...this was a much-needed respite from the city. And it's right near the Ash Mountain entrance to Sequoia, which was the main reason for the trip. Sequoia is incredible but the Rio Sierra Riverhouse really made the trip.

Yelp
EVERYTHING you want for a weekend get away. SO perfect. Quiet, private, clean, warm, and fantastic design + decor. Absolutely ideal combination of cozy and hip. The woman who runs it is an angel. I'd come back here every weekend of my life if I could. RIGHT on the river & she lights the campfires for you every evening & gives helpful tips for local adventures and food. Not a single complaint!

Yelp
One of the best weekend getaway trips I have ever taken. I am looking forward to returning. Mars is delightful. The website cannot capture just how private, calm, and beautiful this place really is. My wife and I stayed in the Riverside room. The decor and mood felt like staying in our very own apartment along the river. And you are literally right along the river. Private beaches. Private fire pits. A grill for cooking out. Our room came complete with coffee, games, movies, books, fridge and microwave. I highly recommend a trip to the Rio Sierra Riverhouse. Especially if you live in LA. It's a great escape to another world. And, of course, it's minutes away from an adventure in the Sequoia national forest.
