Excellent location next to the Rio Grande river. Villa is nestled in the lush vegetation of Portland. However, the rooms need some maintenance. Nevertheless the less this will not dampen your stay.

Just so charming and stunning views. Nice owners.Sharon makes a great breakfast. Good value and location. Found it by accident in 1991 and keep going back. Really nice pool and property is located between the river and the sea. Landscaping is magical.

My husband and I loved the experience. The room, property and staff were all very pleasant. Even the dog was friendly! We enjoyed the meals that were prepared for us. The view of the river was breathtaking, and the array of flora on the property adds to the natural beauty of the grounds, making it feel like a little hideaway. Our cottage was clean and super cozy, and we had a lovely view of the sea from our balcony. We loved it and we hope to be back with friends and family very soon.

The first thing I noticed about the resort was the picturesque view of the river. This is the view you have when dining. I was delighted to find that the swimming pool was just a few steps away from my room. Friendly staff and the quiet atmosphere were appreciated. Breakfast was good. TV kept buffering because the wifi signal was not strong and consistent. A few areas of the hotel need painting, but the grounds were well kept. I recommend Rio Vista to anyone wanting a good, affordable place to stay.

Four of us stayed here in a 2 bedroom Apartment. Lovely though a little rustic. TV and Wifi. A kitchen with ancient oven and modern microwave. Utensils provided. Lovely garden view and verandah. The breakfast was served alfresco on the small patio adjacent the swimming pool. Good breakfast eaten with a splendid view of the Rio Grande on which you can sometimes see the Rafters. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and well cared for. Overall it is a splendid quiet location and you will need transport to get into Port Antonio. Make sure you bring your favourite morsels with you as drinks/food are not available on site. About a half mile, there is a jolly good little takeaway on the left side of road towards Port Antonio which serves good local nosh. We really enjoyed our stay of 3 nights and would stay again.

I arrived late Friday night, having collected my key earlier in the day.|Despite the closeness to the road, I heard nothing. I watched a movie before falling asleep in my comfortable bed.|I got up early Saturday and my included continental breakfast was served hot on the Terrace overlooking the Rio Grande River. While there, I observed several rafters on the river.|I did not want to leave but my tour at Moore Town was calling.|I will definitely visit again.

Very lovely place to stay! The rooms are comfortable, the staff are friendly and warm. The property is beautiful with all the exotic plants and flowers. Mango and Guava tree is also on the property; so you can try a few while you stay. You get to eat breakfast on the patio over looking the Rio grand river. Did I mention breakfast is good ! It's worth staying at this villa

Book the little cottage overlooking the river, Amour. One-of-a-kind vacation. Panoramic views of the two mountain ranges and river below. The stunning scenery just doesn't stop. Even when it rains, the natural beauty will lull you into complete relaxation. Breakfast on the terrace is A1. And if you have time, book a rafting excursion down the Rio Grande. Recommend Captain Tony as your captain and authentic Jamaican riverside lunch by Belinda.
