This is a really neat hotel! The owners have taken several heritage buildings and created a unique hotel. My daughter and I stayed here on a recent trip through B.C. Our room was in the main lodge. The decor was of a former time when travel was less comfortable, and one could imagine weary travelers arriving for an overnight stay. A wide staircase led to the upstairs rooms. Our room was large and comfortable with modern amenities such as a full bathroom, fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. As well as the bedrooms, there was also a large upstairs seating area which overlooked a pretty outdoor garden. This garden also had seating, making it a pleasant place to sit and wonder about those who had come here in times gone by. We had dinner at the attached restaurant, which we learned was run by a group of Mexicans. They certainly were doing a fine job, and we enjoyed the food they served.|Stewart is an interesting and picturesque town in a beautiful location that borders the Alaska panhandle. Near the hotel is a visitor center, park, and a very nice boardwalk leading to the head of the Portland canal. We also had time for a longer walk around the outskirts of town. The drive to Stewart on highway 37A is very scenic, passing by the Bear glacier and the lake that is now forming by the receding glacier. A few kilometers east of Stewart, Clements Lake is a pretty lake with picnic tables and campsites. We were happy we had added Stewart to our itinerary!

This is a charming place adjacent to the estuary. Rooms are all different but ours was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had people staying above us and could hear them walking around but that is to be expected in a historical property like this one. Adjacent restaurant is a rare delicious find in such a remote area. Be sure to make a reservation for dinner.

This hotel comprises a set of heritage buildings that have been well maintained yet retain their funky old charm. The rooms are thus all different, so it is hard to generalize without trying them all out: though the website provides useful details. I booked early and chose well. My room was spacious, furnished in a homely style with a comfortable bed – the slightly soft mattress was surprisingly fine for me, plus a large ensuite bathroom. However, the toilet got blocked on first use: a plunger was on hand, indicating that this was not the first such occurrence. Wifi was a bit problematic: the one for my building came and went and was mostly gone. The general one for the whole complex was slow and of very limited capacity, and required you to log in afresh every hour. The associated restaurant (El Tostador) is no longer open for breakfast and this was a problem, since the only other breakfast cafe nearby was closed for repairs. I had to make do with a takeaway croissant and coffee from the general store over the street.

A unique inn with a turn-of-the-century vibe and layout. Decent Wi-Fi. It was quiet and comfortable. We stayed in room 305 with perhaps the world's squeakiest bed; every little movement made a creak or groan that woke us up. It was also a bit saggy and really needs to be replaced. Aside from that, I would recommend the Ripley Creek for a stay in Stewart.

One of the coolest places I have stayed in a while. We stayed in one of the houses out back, apparently it used to be a brothel. It was very clean and well maintained with comfortable beds. Very poor wifi though.

Awesome feeling, the decor gives off a great ambience as there are antique in the spacious rooms. The staff were all very friendly and served us very well. Thanks so much.

Best Dog Friendly Hotel in World. The room has a second door that opens to outside deck and boardwalk that connects to a park. Room was clean on check in . Friendly staff but not pushy at all. |Resident Dog is a retired Sled Dog that comes and welcomes visiting Dogs like a concierge.

Very unique and interesting place, staff is nice, rooms were clean and nice, little musty smelling but nothing a candle couldn’t cure. Price was right and location was lovely

Yelp
Charming inn in tiny Stewart. Stayed in room 301 in the main lodge. Big comfy bed, sofa, chair and table. Very clean. Very quiet. Super helpful staff.

Yelp
This past summer we had a hotel reservation cancelled due to a Covid outbreak. We got referred to the Ripley Inn and I spoke with Dorothy. She was awesome and able to find enough rooms and total of 7 beds for my group. Not only was Stewart, BC, beautiful, our rooms were very nice for a old, quaint hotel. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Dorothy!!!

Yelp
Room was clean and included WiFi (though it was not fantastic). There were bikes (and helmets!) that could be borrowed (although I was much too short to use any that were available) for use around town. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful with some of the questions we had about the local area and wildlife. Each of the rooms seem to have French doors into the courtyard, which can either be kind of cool or kind of weird, depending on how you think about it (we found ourselves in the latter group).

Yelp
Wonderful, quaint little motel in historic buildings right in downtown Stewart BC. However, there was a spider in the tub, Wi-Fi did not work very well, and it was a little pricey. Also the fridge leaked, probably because I pushed a defrost button that was right at the front and not labeled as such.

Yelp
Oh, how I wish we could stay at least one more day. (Until the salmon come up river and the bears come out of the woods). Alas, we must leave, but we will have very fond memories of our second floor room, up the wooden stairs, hanging over the garden. Spacious room, spacious bathroom with a long counter for "stuff". And a kitchenette! Basic, no elevator, but lots of history.

Yelp
This is a fantastic place to stay & well worth the drive in to Stewart. Very reasonably priced, each room is unique and well furnished. Jacuzzi, internet, a small local restaurant owned by the same people. Very cool, eclectic and check out those toasters...

Yelp
Nice comfortable rooms, nice jacuzzi and sauna. Restaurant across the street serves very good food. Some great toasters to see on your way over. In winter season don't miss the heli-skiing, it's FANTASTIC.

Yelp
Hate to leave! Peaceful. Serene. Ripley Creek lulled us to sleep. Rooster welcomed the morning. What a beautiful town.

Yelp
Beautiful rooms in a quaint hotel. Unfortunately, the staff and management is not very cooperative. A one hour late checkout is not acceptable. A ride with heavy luggage to the airport four blocks away is unavailable. Regretfully, the nice rooms don't extend to a nice staff.
