Incredibly delicious food and a very lovely atmosphere! The servers were so kind and helpful - accommodating special requests and alternatives - but service was super slow, so definitely a place to go when you’re not in a rush. Highly recommend the El De Acqui and sweet cream espresso. Just delicious.

Edited to include our brunch experience which was sterling! Wonderful coffee and lunch and service and vibe. I had some lobster tacos. My husband had the brunch sandwich; my daughter loved her meal, though I cannot remember what it was. She’s a pescatarian, and they had many options on the menu for her. Everything was exquisite! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I’m really working on my Spanish, and the server was so patient with me as I tried to navigate my order in Spanish and then I asked a lot of other questions in Spanish. The courtyard is also so delightful. Dappled sun. We were disappointed that we discovered this restaurant so late in our stay. We would have been back several times. Below is original review for coffee. —— Very much looking forward to coming back for breakfast tomorrow, and I will update my review with photos and info about the food! The staff was super friendly, and both of our coffee drinks were outstanding! The sweet cream coffee reminded me of a Vietnamese iced coffee. It was perfect

Ridiculously long and unjustifiable wait for eggs and French toast. I get the food is supposed to be fresh but we waited on the line a while and then waited at the table even longer. Another group was going to walk out because they waited so long and had a plane to catch. We weren’t starving but over an hour and a half for breakfast is odd. We asked how much longer was the wait and they still had 2 or 3 tables ahead of us but she said our French toast is in the pan. It finally came and I still had 2 wait another 8 mins for my dish. I got the omelette with lechón asao (too much fatty lechón) and the bacon we got in the side was 2 pieces and 1 was pure fat. Would not recommend for what we paid but I’m happy the experience of others was better. Edit due to business response: This is all strictly my experience and it’s sad that a restaurant would offensively attack back instead of recognizing not all things are for all people. Further, the number of tables you served is not the customer’s concern, that’s on you if you are serving so many tables ppl have to wait close to an hour for their food.

The food was so delicious, but the hospitality and kindness from our hostess to our waiter David was truly unmatched. Our daughter was allergic to egg so they made a sandwich she could have- just really thoughtful. Maybe the best service I’ve had in Vieques and I’ve been coming here for 4 years.

Love Yanira, she takes good care of everyone who enters their coffee and food is worth the wait. Went there 2 days in a row, same good service and attention

Out of all the breakfast spots we visited in Vieques, Rising Roost stands as the reigning champion of quality and service! The owners are incredibly nice and welcoming. Coming from NYC, where restaurants fiercely compete and the service and quality of food are top-notch, I can confidently say that Rising Roost possesses the qualities that place them amongst the top-tier restaurants worldwide. Their food was unbelievably tasty, and I loved the decor and overall ambiance. It's a solid 5 stars from me!
