Great price and great food! They can do half half topping on your pizza, and it’s just what you need after hiking. The wings are pretty good too, a bit spicy to my taste. The wine by the glass was poured pretty generously

Google
We went here after an epic & exhausting day of hiking. This was the most satisfying pizza I've ever had. Delicious flavor on the crust and on the pizza. If I was an entrepreneur, I'd try to buy a franchise to put in my own town. 100% no regrets. You won't be disappointed. BTW- we had the 12" rising wolf pizza and 1/2 order of wings.

Google
The food is good. Well flavored, cooked well. The chicken wings were full of meat and I loved it. The pizza was also good, real ingredients and full sized. The only issue is wait time to get food.

Jared Kendall

Google
Great local pizza and wing restaurant! Happen to catch it the last day of the season and the service and food was still excellent! I got the Buffalo Chicken pizza (can’t remember what their name for it is).

Michael Kawamoto

Google
Had a quick stop here before going into Glacier National Park. The pizza was excellent and it hit the spot after hiking 25 miles. They serve alcohol as well and it had a nice sports bar vibe. The reception for Verizon wasn't working here and they had no wifi, but not a big deal. We split a 12" pizza between the two of us and we felt 80 full.

Google
We shared a really great meal at Rising Sun. Pizza and wings are both pretty great. The pizza is a thin crispy cracker crust style. We tried the Redneck (shown in picture) which featured redneck sausage which to this day I still don't know what it's made of, but it was good. The place gets really busy so get there if you want a table. Otherwise, you can always take out.

Google
I should have taken a picture of the salad. That was the best value for your money and it was great too. The homemade Ranch dressing was very good. The greens were also good. I came back twice on my vacation for this salad. The wings were good, and they honored my request for all flats. The cheese breadsticks (I added sausage to it) were okay, but at the cost of adding sausage with how much was on there, it wasn't worth the money or the time waiting to receive your order. I didn't order these again. Both days, I had to wait 45 minutes to an hour to get my carryout order. The second day, when I ordered salad and wings, I asked the clerk how long the wait was, and she told me that for wings, it would only be about 15 to 20 minutes. Nope. 45 minutess. The service was friendly but it was really really slow.

Google
PLACE IS WAY OVER RATED!!! PICTURES DO NOT TELL THE TRUTH!! I should have read deeper into the reviews. The place is clean, including the back kitchen area, the service was GREAT. All the staff smiled as they walked by. I ordered the 12" ($22.00!!!) Red Eagle Hawaiian Fire. I was VERY VERY disappointed! They say hand tossed crust... tasted & looked more like, grabbed a premade frozen crust from the freezer, and hand tossed it onto the prep station. Very little sauce, very little cheese... but plenty of crappy crust. I won't go back there again. Only saving grace was the sweet waitress. Side note. Don't waste your money on the Tangerine beer. Tasted of all hops and zero tangerine!!! I drank like 3 sips...couldn't finish it!

Yelp
[ Food ] We ordered the Rising Wolf and it was super good, if only there were more toppings, then it would've been more worth it. [ Service ] Customer service was good, there were people before us so we waited a little for the pizza. [ Parking ] We were easily able to find parking since it was raining, but it shouldn't be an issue. [ Restroom ] Yes, there's a restroom.

Dannie C.

Yelp
This place was great! Maybe because it had been a long day and we were all getting hangry or maybe cause it was legit really good pizza in the middle of no where! I'm inclined to believe it was a little of both. Despite massive crowds, service was relatively quick and courteous!

Guy D.

Yelp
After a long drive and some hiking in Two Medicine, we stopped in here in St Mary, MT to get some much needed food. They were slammed! We were sat and the two waitresses were running all over the place. Super nice, just busy as there are not a lot of options to eat on the East side of GNP. We ordered the meat pizza and the garlic cheese bread to start with. Don't forget the Huckleberry soda, it is fantastic! Thin crispy crust, loved the pizza and the cheese bread sticks were awesome! Be prepared to wait and be patient as they do their best to sling pies to the seemingly endless horde of tourists in the summer! Rustic room, lots to look at on the walls and of course Rodeo on the TVs! Loved it, thanks!

Yelp
Pizza is so easy to get right; Rising Sun Pizza must be trying hard to get it wrong. Pizza is not hard: flour, water, yeast, salt, toppings. Take care in preparation; raise the dough slowly; add high quality, fresh toppings; bake in a super-hot oven. Rising Sun Pizza does none of those things. Pizzas are thin. No, not thin crust Napolitano pizza; just thin, greasy pizza-like incarnations that drop into your stomach like lead balloons. There are better frozen pizzas in the freezer aisle in your local super market. If it were not for the fact that Rising Sun Pizza is the _only_ pizza place in St. Mary, this establishment would go out of business. Do yourself a favor: avoid Rising Sun Pizza like the plague.

Laura A.

Yelp
We had very good draft beers from local breweries and a delicious pizza that hit the spot after hiking all day.

Constantine J.

Yelp
Post Park Day Pizza for the win. This was the perfect spot to refuel after a long day of hiking. Pizzas and sauces were homemade, and you could tell. There was a good variety of topping options with good crust. We did half Park Ranger BLT and half Redneck... the garlic cheese bread was also a good starter. Would recommend stopping by for some solid homemade za!

Amy W.

Yelp
We stopped in after a full day of hiking at Glacier. Fortunately, we were on the early side of dinner and got a table for the four of us right away. This is a popular little place, but I can totally see why. They have excellent pizza and friendly, efficient service. We ordered the Cheesy Breadsticks, and they were served hot and fresh. So cheesy and good! We then ordered the Supreme pizza. Fantastic pizza! Everything about Rising Sun Pizza is great! Do not pass this one up if in the Glacier National Park area.

Christopher B.

Yelp
This was a good option especially considering the limited amount of places around. With that said, the service was top notch, the place was clean albeit a bit cold. We ordered two pizzas - gluten free and regular. Both were really good. I felt like the extra ingredients were a bit expensive but otherwise no complaints and really happy with our food.

Matt Y.

Yelp
It seems like Rising Sun Pizza is the only game in town when it comes to dining in St. Mary's, which ends up being just fine because it's a good game. The cheesy breadsticks are epic, a meal in themselves, even if you don't get additional toppings on them (which we didn't get but which they offer). For our pizza, we ordered a half-pepperoni / half-mushroom and Redneck sausage. I was intrigued by a sausage by this name, hence the order. Redneck sausage is a little spicy with notes of cloves and possibly cinnamon. It blended just fine with the mushroom, making for a lovey dinner. Bonus points: we over-ordered and leftovers were great for breakfast. Our first impression of this establishment was so good we went back our second night to get more. Obviously cheesy breadsticks, and we also dipped a bit more into their local beer selection (which is small but sufficient). Service is friendly and efficient, ambiance is chill, and there is entire wall of TVs for the sports enthusiast. Plan for this when you visit the east side of Glacier National Park.

John H.

Yelp
It's a good spot on the East side of Glacier. Pickings are slim on this side of the park for restaurants, but we had a solid experience here. We arrived around 5:15 PM and the place was already full. Fortunately, we had a short wait for a table. Seemed like a good selection of beers, and they had an excellent local IPA from Tumbleweed ($5) on tap. My bride built her own pizza with chicken, tomato and spinach. She said it was perfectly baked and she loved it! I went with the Supreme Summit ($22) and it was fine. Even though the place was packed and they were short staffed, they did an excellent job and maintained a positive attitude!

Don F.

Yelp
Not very tasty, pizza was cold, which makes sense since it took 1:50 to get it, I guess they forgot they made it. Very disappointing since we were so hungry and looking forward to eating here. Would not recommend.

Philip S.

Yelp
Great place! Our pizza was one of the best that we have ever had. The salad was fresh and the dressings were delicious. Service was excellent. Beer was cold. What more could you ask for!

Derek C.

Yelp
Very good thin slice pizza and garlic bread sticks. We went three times the week we were there. . We really enjoyed it. They get busy quick!

Debbie S.

Yelp
My husband and I ordered a 16" pizza. We always have half pepperoni and black olives, the other half sausage and mushrooms. It was good, I would have liked the bottom of the pizza cooked a little more. It was clean and service was good.

Leigh B.

Yelp
We had pizza, pretty good & wings. The wings were more like small tenders/popcorn chicken. One son did a bbq and liked it. One son did a the mild. None of us liked the mild. He got the larger order, we had one of the entire plate. He told waitress they did not like the flavor. Was told it is what it is & no credit was given in the bill. Restaurant was steady, but not packed & also no one checked with us for other drinks/refills. There are not a lot of options in St. Mary's, but we will not be going back.

Richard M.

Yelp
Very good pizza. We've eaten here twice now, and it's been great both times. This time e had the Supreme pizza, and it's very tasty. The pizzas are made fresh to order, and they are always busy. So allow plenty of time for your dining experience.

A T.

Yelp
Delicious wings and pizza! Everything is homemade in-house. They get busy quickly, but it's worth the wait. You'll be glad you stopped in.

Robert M.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious. Had one supreme and one pepperoni- both great. The service was awesome. The waitresses were super friendly and attentive. We had been hiking all day - was a great, relaxing way to end the day!

Elfie C.

Yelp
Great place. Went here twice with my family during our trip to glacier. Pizza and beer was delicious and waitresses were very helpful. 2 big tvs also to catch a game. So glad we found it on yelp.

Joanne B.

Yelp
Self-proclaimed NJ pizza snob here-outstanding pizza! Cheesy breadsticks were delicious! Service-excellent, staff super friendly! Only bad thing was they were crazy busy and we waited an excessive amount of time for our pizza. Go early or later-avoid the dinner rush!

Becky N.

Yelp
Great pizza and wings and just what this family needed after a day of hiking and driving back "home" from a west side visit. It was busy and we waited almost the exact quoted wait time but it was worth it! It's not a huge place but there is a good beer selection, thinner crust pizza with fresh ingredients and the wings were pretty on point. There's a small deck outside that in better weather probably would have cut down on the wait time significantly. There was a sign on the door indicating no carry outs that night which made me feel like they manage their kitchen quite well and know their limitations.

Shea S.

Yelp
Delicious local pizza spot. Has gluten free crust and delicious toppings. With only a few choices around this place is solid.

Laurie S.

Yelp
They were short staffed which seems to be the norm everywhere. They were pretty crowded. We had the wings with sauce on the side, and they were delicious. Piping hot snd crispy. They were a little chintzy with the celery though. We had a pepperoni pizza and it was cheesy, hot and delicious. We ordered a Cesar salad-should have ordered the salad with the chicken-it looked great. Regardless, it was not easy to find a place to eat after leaving Many Glacier in St. Mary, and this was a great choice.

Jake H.

Yelp
Rising Sun Pizza met my much desired pizza craving, especially after a long day of traveling to Glacier National Park. We took our pizza into the park and watched the sunset which was great. The restaurant doesn't have open seating inside just yet but there are a handful of tables on the patio. It does get busy so I'd call ahead. Great crust and sauce.

Chuck L.

Yelp
Just left rs pizza wow we loved it had 2 Stella's a spinach salad and a small pepperoni pie 46 bucks. Stella's were nice and cold, the salad was very good and enough for two. The pizza was amazing, sauce was delish and they didn't skimp on the sauce, cheese was very good too. I say EAT HERE, but plan extra time. They open at 4 we got there at 4:30 and we got the only open table, there were only two servers (we were told there usually 4, they were late) these 2 women were almost running. They put it all in for everyone thank you both so much. We also heard they are busy most of the time. Would I go back knowing the wait? Hell yes

Gracie M.

Yelp
This place was fantastic! We tried the salads, two different pizzas, and the wings and all were delicious! The veggies used in the salads and on the pizzas were FRESH. Like, really, really good and made the salad at the nearby lodge look pretty sad in comparison. We actually met one of the chefs (possibly the owner?) after our first visit and when we complimented the many fresh veggies on the Garden Wall pizza, she said, "yes, I love fresh veggies and I want to provide that for everyone who wants to enjoy them on pizza." She's invested in fresh and good - she also told us the crust is pulled out to order, meaning you wait a few extra minutes but it's as fresh as can be and sooooo good. A little chew, a little soft, not too thick - perfect. My boyfriend polished off 14 Honey Hot wings and had nothing but good things to say. We also tried the Redneck pizza and I think the sauerkraut and sausage combo was the most unique and delicious pizza combo I've ever had. Portions are generous! The two of us got a large pizza the first time and a regular the second - both times we had leftovers for breakfast which were just as delicious by our morning campfire. We don't often dine out when camping, and my boyfriend is rarely in a 'pizza mood' (I know, I know, he's crazy) but we went here twice in two days. That says a lot! Love you, Rising Sun!!!

Cindy M.

Yelp
Pizza tasted fine, but it was $30 for the largest size and not worth that price at all. They can get that price, because it is a tourist area. They brought the pizzas to the table and there was no room and looked at us like where should we put this????

Audrey M.

Yelp
We went one night for pizza. We had the Park Ranger pizza and it was delicious. We went back another day for wings and huckleberry wine. Delicious! Servers were friendly.

Patty W.

Yelp
Great pizza on the east side of GNP where food choices are limited. Busy place with very hard workers!

Regina G.

Yelp
Go literally anywhere else. Terrible food (microwaved pizza), even worse service. The worst service I have ever encountered, in fact: the waitress rolled her eyes and loudly sighed every time a new customer walked in, she didn't make eye contact and said "what do you want" when she took our order, and best of all we waited OVER AN HOUR for a basic pizza. Clearly exploiting tourists here with terrible food, service, and prices.

Tim T.

Yelp
What a fantastic surprise in the heart of East Glacier! I had a party of two other men and myself, and we ordered a 16in pizza with honey/garlic wings (split flavors for the full order), and a spinach salad, and we were completely full after a full day of hiking. The spinach and tomatoes were fresh, and the bacon bits were crispy and warm. The wings appeared to be baked, and were fresh and juicy, with good sharp flavors on the sauces. The pizza was crisp and delightful, with good bite on the thin crust. Pizza had a lot of flavor and was incredibly savory and full of umami. The service was okay, given the huge amount of business. If that's important to you, maybe this place is a 4/5.

Julia M.

Yelp
I would not chose to come here again. Our waitress was very rude and did not check on us at all. The salad we ordered was so old that half the dark leafy greens were rotten mush. The pizza is no half bad but they got our order wrong.

Reinhard F.

Yelp
Best pizza ever! Excellent crust. We order sausage and mushroom with red sauce. Great service too!

Margaret V.

Yelp
I'm sure our experience was unique so I didn't give this place the one star it deserves based on our experience. To be fair, they were very busy! We requested an outdoor table because we are struggling with what could be covid. Our waitress misheard our order and we were neglected. We kept an eye out in this one other group who were seated after us...sure enough they were well into their meal before we got ours. We happened to check o the status of our order because it was getting Dark, cool, and the mosquitos were coming out. We decided to "take our". While paying we learned they were making 2 pizzas one margarita and one cheese with sausage. This was not really the problem. They then heard that we wanted half margarita and half sausage. When we opened the box it appeared that they took the sausage pizza: removed half the sausage and added tomato, mozzarella and basil to half the pizza. Margarita pizza isn't supposed to be in a bed of cheese! The mozzarella was only partially melted. My disappointment comes in the way I which this establishment attempted to resolve a problem. Rather than start from scratch they opted to take the east way out. This is not acceptable in my book.

Jenine D.

Yelp
Oh goodness!!! If you are ever in the east side of Glacier NP, THIS IS THE PLACE to get pizza, wings and beer. You walk in and it's the most casual. They said; sit anywhere you like. They were efficient and friendly. Great beer selection, we had the veggie pizza and it was delicious! The wings are to die for!!!! We had them just fry it and it was so tasty without the sauces. We had the garlic chili sauce on the side because we like dipping our wings in the sauce instead is smothered. Pizza was made to order so if you're hungry grab and appetizer. Go for the wings!!!

Abel L.

Yelp
Our waitress Zoee was Amazing!! The Pizza well it was all gone by the time we left!! Place opens at 4:30 we got there early and waited Glad we did Oh and definitely try their bread sticks

Tanmay T.

Yelp
Best pizzas you can have in the area. The waiting queue speaks for itself. I had veggie pizza. It was well made, flavorful, big and with a lot of toppings. We loved it. Worth the 45 minutes wait. Also, it is conveniently located near the entrance of glacier NP.

Amy F.

Yelp
We truly enjoyed our meal at Rising Sun Pizza. Arrived at 4:30 and got seated inside right away...by 5:30 when we left every table, inside and out, was full. Outdoor seating was in the shade. Service was a bit slow, but friendly. We had half orders of both the honey bbq and mild wings, and thoroughly enjoyed both. Then we had a large pizza with sausage, peppers, and onions. It was perfect! Very thin, crispy crust (my favorite!,) perfect cheese, delicious sauce, and great toppings! We will return!

Ben B.

Yelp
Thanks for helping me find this one, Yelp. Rising Sun is the kind of place you'd normally cruise by without stopping. It doesn't look like much on the outside. But I can say that after doing a nearly 13-mile roundtrip hike to Grinnell Glacier, Rising Sun slayed a pretty furious hunger. I ordered the 12" Waterton Wonder pizza ($17). That's pepperoni, fajita chicken, ground beef and Montana Redneck sausage. I asked the server what Montana Redneck sausage was. She didn't know. Whatever. It was a solid pizza. The chicken would have been better grilled. Also, based on a Yelp recommendation, I ordered seven Zingy Wings ($7.50). I really liked the sauce. It was spicy and... garlicky(?). Pretty darn good wings in the middle of nowhere. Service was almost non-existent, but I chalk that up to there being just one employee in a dining room with six full tables. Rising Sun is a good place to stop once you're sick of s'mores and camp food. In any real city, I don't know that I'd return. But it's pretty good.

K R.

Yelp
Best pizza around! Seriously, there is almost nowhere to choose from in the area but the pizza here did not disappoint! The wings were some of the best we have ever had, and we have tried a lot of wings. The wait was really really long, but everyone is short staffed and covid is still a problem. This is takeout only, order at the window or online and wait was about 30-40 minutes longer than the hour we were told, but worth it! We will be back next time we visit glacier.

Steve J.

Yelp
Decent pizza, and chicken wings. Decent, but not spectacular. I had a 12" marinara pizza, and my wife had the small side order of chicken wings and a garden salad. Great salad (best on our trip to Montana so far). Pretty good service (our server, another server, and the manager were wandering around, checking on us every once and a while). My marinara pizza was also pretty good, but not actually a marinara. This had cheddar cheese :-( on top of the sauce, below the mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil. It also had the basil cooked into the sauce, where it should have been put on after baking. Sorry, I'm a real pizza snob, having grown up in Chicago, and having had actual marinara pizza in Milan. On the other hand, we're here, not 5,000 miles away, so as long as we're in the area, Rising Sun will do fine.

Ryan V.

Yelp
We're usually pretty easy to please when it comes to pizza but we had a rough go at Rising Sun. A few things to consider: 1. Our pizza took over 70 minutes to be served while dining in. That is not an exaggeration. We were planning on things taking a bit longer on account of our circumstances (we rolled in during dinner time on a weekend) but over an hour of chilling at our table was pretty wild. A number of patrons were moved to the point of approaching the front desk area in an effort to figure out why each order was taking upwards of an hour or more to serve. 2. Our pizza was super duper mediocre. I'm someone who will meekly admit that I'm a fan of some pretty average pizza chains (Domino's, for one). So it takes a lot for me to reject a 'za. But when other reviewers state that these pies look and taste like frozen pizza, they're not that far off. I'll chill and wait for an eternity if I know it's going to be worth it (shout out to Pizza House in Ann Arbor). But if I'm sitting around long enough for The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure to run from start to finish (credits included) only for the result to compare unfavorably to DiGiorno's, that's a non-starter. 3. I burnt my tongue. That's nobody's fault but my own, but I thought you guys should know. Altogether, it's a nice atmosphere inside with a pleasant wait staff. It sort of felt like the whole show was being run by young, well-meaning high school or college aged kids who hadn't really worked in a pizzeria before and thus were all collectively learning on the fly. On the plus side, this was a slightly better experience than that one pizza place down by Bryce Canyon. So there's that.

TJ S.

Yelp
Awesome pizza and wings! Got our order to go and had drinks while we waited. Highly recommend

T G R ..

Yelp
I'm going a solid 3.75-4.00 on this thin crust pie. Crust had a bit of a chew.which then the toppings got lost in it. But how can a mutt complain when it's the only pizza joint in this thriving metropolis! Beer was cold .Service was excellent. And us tourtistas were meet with a smile! Check out for yourself Kisses

Sj D.

Yelp
Waited 15 minutes to get seated, which was fine but they told us we could not be seated out door or get take out. When we were finally seated it took literally a hour to get our food. The place doesn't seat very many so not really sure what the problem was in getting food to customers in a timely manner.

Rob R.

Yelp
Well, it's better than frozen pizza because you don't have to cook it yourself. The specials seem safer than a custom pizza, but if you go that route, maybe try ordering double toppings??

Anisa A.

Yelp
Crazy good pizza here! We ordered a smaller size pizza, hoping the breadsticks would be amazing - and they were. Excellent service, great for groups and you might even bump into a few familiar faces you saw out in the Park.

Brian S.

Yelp
We've only lived in Montana for a month and have only tried pizza at maybe five places, but all the places we've tried so far have rated a 3 or below for their pizza until trying Rising Sun. The pizza was awesome, totally five star!

Keerthi B.

Yelp
One of the best pizza. But come when you are not hungry . They take an hour to seat you get your food to the table . But I guess this is the best food place in the town. Period
