Ladies who worked at the ticket office were really nice and kind! Risnjak is lovely and it is a must if you find yourself in the area of Kvarner or Gorski Kotar. There are couple of routes you can take. The easiest one is 4km through the forest...Its really nice and quiet and you can really relax your mind while you're there. Tickets are valid for 2 days and apply to the enterance to Source of Kupa river. It isnt a hard route and anyone can do it! After 2km there is a mountain lodge so you can sit on the benches and rest.

Beautiful nature fantastic walking routes and fresh clean and very cold water. Every few hundred meters is some beautiful scenery to see and experience. And don't go in flip-flops and try not to leave garbage . Water color and clearness is something special. Watch your ankles and enjoy.

We did a wonderful 10 km hike. You can plan 3, 10 or 20 km, I recommend talking to the staff (very friendly) where to take which turns for which route. You are miles away from any other human and the forest is fantastic, just the signs are not that frequently, therefore mine your steps 😊
